I took the agents advice and went to auction. 2 time wasters bid against each other and the property reached an unrealistic price. The highest bidder then offered a lower price but wanted to extend the completion date which I refused to do. He then offered a lower price so I asked the auctioneer to go back to other bidders and I achieved a price which was a little more than the highest valuation I had received. I was informed the whole time of what was happening and the auctioneer was very supportive. I was not surprised when I was told the highest bidder did not have the funds and kept dropping his offer, I had seen it happen before in Bradford. I am happy with the service I received and the auctioneer was brilliant. I would recommend anyone selling a property in my area to go to auction but to be prepared for any hiccups along the way.... Helped sell my house, but did not always keep me informed of people attending the house. Main problem was that they would go to the house and turn off lights when we had left them on for security. Also they let a surveyor in on his own who failed to turn the alarm on and left doors open inside and turned lights off. The house was not lived in so the security was my main priority.... Read more

Worst possible service from a letting agent. Whitegates Bradford simply will waste your time, will rip you off, and treat you like dirt. A very terrible experience with them as a landlord, and cannot wait for current tenancy agreement to end. They will either ignore you, or if you do speak to them, then you won't be treated with any courtesy as a client, and neither will you get any satisfactory solution. The team is not proactive whatsoever, they miss details from your request, and I could go on about what a shambles it is. However, bottom line. Avoid Whitegates Bradford.... Read more
