One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters auction. House was listed on website and tenanted for a fixed amount of rent which I was told by the auction agent called Robert. Also house was in bad state but got told tenants don’t care so why do you. Only to find out later on that tenants have never paid anywhere near that amount and it’s so much lower. So was lied to first of all and then later to meet the tenants and for them to tell us all the work they was promised and they wanted the house fixing top to bottom. What an absolute joke and waste of time and money. Keep your money and go elsewhere they will tell you anything just to sell a house that is overpriced

Wouldn’t recommend, we emailed and telephoned several times about buying a property, each time we was told someone would ring us back but we are still waiting ????
After days of waiting we rang back and spoke to a person named molly and got told the property is now showing as going to auction, several days later the property is still saying for sale on Rightmove and zoopla ????? Molly also said someone called Robert would be in touch, again still waiting ????…

This branch accepted work that required a court-usable valuation report. I was charged for the report and then charged again for follow-up, yet key errors and lack of clear explanation were not properly corrected. Each time issues were raised, the response was to request further payment.
Take anything Alan Neild or this branch says with a pinch of salt. He appears to believe his errors and incompetence need to be paid for by the customer as they are not a charity. Which is understandable if they did nothing wrong, but the Family Court judge threw out their report and yet they remain in denial clutching at straws.
One of Alan's defence was that he found it difficult to value a property until after it had sold, and RRP on properties would make his life easier.
This is a man that also believes this sentence makes sense. "Public sales records show activity on XXX Lane with recent sales in 2022–2025 and an average recent sale price around £130,000 - £140,000 for transactions in the past 12 months in this area " - It's either 2022-2025 or past 12 months, can't be both.
"Zoopla / Rightmove street pages and local portals show the average sold price in XXX Lane (last 12 months) Ranges £122,000 - £150,000 in the BD8 Area" - Its either XXX Lane or BD8 area, can't be both.
Double check anything Alan tells you, he is all about taking money but taking as little care on the job as possible. He then tries to play victim by saying he spent time on it and they're not a charity. He claims you as the customer should take a loss for his incompetence and wants you to feel sorry for him.
The matter was part of family court proceedings and the court ultimately found the report inadequate and required a different expert.
Despite that outcome, the business would not accept responsibility or provide a full refund. The dispute is now being handled through the small claims process.

Really great service from Spencer and the team at Hunters, selling my mums house.
When my mum bought the property it was listed with Hunters, they have sold a lot on the retirement site she was on. They are the go to agent for that site (Willowbank/Pity Beck View in Allerton, Bradford).
We got a better price than we thought we would get.
Had a few issues with the buyers conveyancers, who were slow (for example they took 48 hours send send a one line email - which should have be done straight away), despite the fact they were cash buyers.
Spencer help us through the whole process.

I can’t thank Molly enough for her exceptional support throughout a very fast property sale. From arranging the viewing, preparing and issuing the memorandum of sale, relentlessly chasing solicitors, right through to exchange and completion, she was absolutely on top of everything. The exchange took place just 2 days after the memorandum of sale, and completion followed only 1 day later. From memorandum of sale to completion in less than a week is truly remarkable.
A big thank you as well to Alan for carrying out the valuation, Robert for the excellent photography and videography which really showcased the property, and Spencer for the preparation of the memorandum of sale and responding to all our queries.

Very unprofessional and rude agents. They repeatedly called me while I was at work, and when I finally got back to them, they booked a viewing for the next day and told me to meet outside the property at the scheduled time.
When I arrived and called their office, they initially lied, saying they would sort it out and call me back. After waiting 20 minutes with no update, I called again—only for them to blame me for going without having received an email confirmation, instead of acknowledging that their agent cancelled the appointment without notifying me.
Overall, very unprofessional.

I never said I got an email confirmation. Your agent confirmed it verbally over the phone the previous evening and then forgot to schedule the viewing or update me about it. What's worse is the people that replied to me over the phone the next day blaming me instead of trying to find a solution. Good luck doing business with this attitude.

I lived in the Colonial building for over 10 years, and during that time I was looked after extremely well by Mo and the rest of the team. Whenever I had any issue with the flat, they resolved it in the blink of an eye. They were always very professional and never let me down. After every inspection, my deposit was returned without any problems. Because of this, I know they are genuinely loyal to their customers.

Gave me a single key for my apartment and I travelled only to come back and find out that all my perishable worth £300 in the freezer had defrosted and gone bad. I made a complaint but nothing was done as they did not care if my foodstuffs in the freezer went bad or not - when it’s not a hotel, then I informed the accommodation and they offered me a second key for the light.
They had patches on the wall and I made a video of it before moving in and on moving out they asked that I pay for it.
The bathroom was leaking and I reported it cos it soaked into my room and after a maintenance man came to fix it, on moving out they told me that the check out team did not know that it wasn’t on me and were an out of service section.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND HUNTERS BRADFORD TO ANYONE.

My experience with Hunters was extremely disappointing. I was a tenant at 16 Milford Place. After my tenancy ended, they failed to communicate about the return of my deposit. They were contractually obligated to provide a notification of deductions within 10 working days, but this did not happen.
When they finally did respond, they proposed a vague and unsubstantiated deduction of £650 without providing any invoices, quotes, or evidence to support the claim. Due to their lack of professionalism and clear breach of the tenancy agreement, I have been forced to escalate the matter and raise a formal dispute with the Deposit Protection Service (DPS).
I would not recommend them based on their failure to follow proper procedure and their poor communication

Some of the services were very poor. Alan the guy who did the sales pitch was very professional and helpful. Mistakes were made with the marketing and we had no communication with Sophie our sales advisor at all. The only person i could ever get a response from was Robert. Was given poor advice when we found our own buyer to still go ahead with full marketing and from then on communications were appalling. We had no viewers, poor marketing & ended up selling to the buyer we found no thanks to Hunters which we paid a fortune for ful services most of which were never used so very little work other than verifying the cash buyer we found. Communications around solicitors progress was not as stated in would be. All in all very poor value for money as I had to do too much myself, we do not recommend.

Simply the worst experience I have ever had with real estate agency! A booking for viewing after 2 weeks! (This must be a joke!), followed by confirmation of viewing, then reminder of viewing on the day of viewing, but less than 24 hrs before viewing I was contacted by the so called real estate agency to cancel the viewing! Miserable and total failure combined with lack of honesty and professionalism! They seemed like plane that failed to get off ground, a ship that failed to sail, or a horse that failed to set off in a race!

Don’t let this Hunters Bradford manage your property! They don’t care about the house. It’s been a month now that we ask them to fix the switch to our bathroom but up until now it hasn’t been done. I’m fed up of calling them and sending email as nothing gets done anyway so I’m just leaving a nasty review here as maybe they are waiting for me to do this and thats the time they will sort it out or update me what happening. Anyway, Hunters, do not reply to this if you will just tell me it’s been reported already and waiting for them to come to my house. We want your action and not your promises!

Absolute rubbish of an agency! Avoid at all costs! I am sure they are great for vendors, but if you're a buyer you won't be able to get a property through them, especially if you look for cheaper properties.
No way of booking a viewing over the phone, they ask you to send an email even though you are speaking with them on the phone at that exact moment. When you send an email they don't respond so you need to chase it. But you can't chase over the phone, you need to send an email again. Then you wait again. If you're lucky to get a viewing and actually like the place you can't put an offer over the phone like all other normal agencies do, you need to send an email again. You won't hear from them for days and there is no confirmation email to say the offer was passed to the vendor. Then you call again and chase it. The response is: "Oh yes, I'm sure your offer was dealt with." But there is no confirmation or proof!!
Then you'll get a random email on a SUNDAY when the agency is closed saying the vendor wants £5000 more than the advert says. They ask if 'you can come up with that kind of money.' How the hell writes emails like that??? The email is signed by a person who only wrote their first name, no surname, no title, no position in the company. When you increase your offer to a price you believe is reasonable they will send you an official confirmation email that your offer was passed to the vendor. Which proves the first offer was never given to the vendor. BUT AGAIN YOU WON'T HEAR FROM THEM! You look at the advert a few days after that and the pricing is changed to a 'fixed price' and increased to the amount they wanted from you.
They have all the time in the world to reply to peoples' bad reviews with long and elaborate responses, but don't have the time to actually do their job which is selling properties!!

Good listings however awful communication system. Very dated process of sending in emails which no one responds to for viewings. Personally I ended up buying from another estate agent simply because I could not book viewing over the phone. The whole of Bradford minus 2 estate agents can book via phone, unsure who makes these decision but clearly a massive put off for many people. I’d avoid just for the sake of not dealing with the hassle.

What an amazing service received when buying my property. From start to finish, Sophie and Robert have been able to help me through the whole journey. I made the mistake of using a solicitor, that was the cheapest, but in doing, so, my solicitor made the whole process, very difficult to put through and Sophie and Robert were able to help the situation. If it wasn’t for them, I would still be waiting for the sale to go through. I’m very happy with Hunters and will use them in the future. I’ve even received great aftercare service to ensure I’m ok and everything is up and running. My mum's Pty was put for Sale with Hunter's Estate Agents - Bradford. I received eexcellent customer service, the communication via telephone and email again has been 1st class. Alan the Valuer was a really lovely person to deal with put me at ease straight away, he was very polite and very respectful of my mum's situation.
Alan then explained to me all the next steps the Sales Manager Robert would then contact me, we spoke at length.I cannot thank Robert enough for his time, patience in helping me understand and explain the best option for sale of my mum's property. He is one in a million and a real character. The way he has dealt with me, is the single reason I asked my mum to put her property up for sale with Hunters. I personally want to pass on my heart felt thanks to Robert and I will show my individual appreciation once the Sale has been completed. Just to let people know of the 3x Agent that came out Hunters were not the cheapest, but the Excellent Customer Service I personally have received and the time they have spent with me has been nothing short of expectational.

I personally found the person who showed me round the property the most friendly of all. There was a member of the team whom I felt was not very accommodating when I asked questions I wanted answering about the property which wasn't good. She just told me my solicitor should answer them making me feel bad for showing an interest in the property. Also, I didn't like the fact that updates were always sent via email and every time I called the estate agents I was asked to send an email instead of phoning which I didn't like. I thought the little new house box I got with the keys which contained information and smellies etc., was a lovely gesture for new home owners.

All the staff were extremely professional. Robert, who did the valuation went out of his way to provide aerial shots of the property and provide informative information. I had no issues with any of the process or staff. Everything was completed in a straight forward manner. The only gripe would be to have more experienced staff on hand to take phone calls instead of just a young man who had little knowledge telling you to email the sales team. Apart from this I have had a good experience with Hunters. There are some estate agents in Bradford I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole but I would rate Hunters the best amongst estate agents.

Called to ask the Agency to take the board down as it causes confusion for those looking for a home on the street but was advised that the landlord doesn't want the board taking down yet. I was selling my elderly parents' house and got several estate agents to value it. I was actually pretty impressed with them all, but particularly the valuer from Hunters, Robert. Hunters were also the best value, so I went with them. Robert was my main point of contact throughout the sale, and made the whole process run smoothly and surprisingly quickly. From valuation to completion took just less than 2 months, which was much less than I'd anticipated. I live some distance from the property so was very grateful to be able to just leave everything with the estate agent. The staff at the Bradford office of Hunters have been great. They've helped us enormously through what could have been a difficult sale. Particularly around the time when the health crisis started when my wife and I were not sure what do. We used this branch to let our flat for nearly 2 years. The service was exceptional, they fully managed it and let it continuously without any vacant time during that period. Earlier this year we sold the flat and used them as agent as it seemed to make sense. They liased with the tenants and arranged all the viewings leading to a sale. The fee was a little upish, considering the value of the flat, but to use a third party would've been too complicated. Overall, on both the letting and sales sides, they did a very good job.
