We purchased our new home through this agent and everything was handled fantastically. Eleanor and Richard were extremely diligent and attentive. Where answers were needed they were able to investigate and relay the necessary information. Our purchase was initiated long before the April '25 stamp duty rise but we were getting close, however with the agents support our concerns were eased and everything went to plan.

Avoid! Complete lack of communication. No contact for 5 MONTHS after I sold my house through them. They didn’t even have much work to do for that. After 2 days on the market and the first viewer, it sold. Thank goodness the agents for the house I bought were on the ball and kept me up to date.
During that 5 months I left the manager 3 voice messages to return my call. He never did.
I complained to WH Brown head office and after an ‘investigation’ I was told they had done nothing wrong! Obviously standard practice for them
Absolutely terrible service. I reckon around 5 hours work for them, which works out at £1000.00 per hour
No wonder estate agents have such a bad reputation

Brown estate agents in Holt I soon felt reassured that the process would not be so complicated as I envisaged. The warm, friendly and obvious professionalism of Richard Ling and his team colleagues soon allayed my fears as they explained that they would be there to advise and help me along the way - and so it has proved.

After trying with two different agents I decided to go local. I had been advised "not to touch W H Brown with a barge pole". Why? I wondered . I'd met Richard at the valuation, liked what I saw and heard, much the same as the other three agents who valued the property. The office has plenty of footfall going past to and from the town centre and the adjacent car park, so plenty of people to look at the properties advertised, and be able to go in and talk to someone about it. Of the three agents Richard and his team have been the most pro-active in getting my property sold, not just telling me to reduce the price again! Thank you Richard, Erika, Tom and Polly for all your support and excellent work.

Serious lack of communication. We simultaneously lost the sale of our own property and the property that we were trying to purchase. All because we received the information that we had asked for four days after being told that the office would contact us. Not good enough. We have also been trying to get in touch about matters such as changing our house advert but no response at all. Very very disappointing.

We bought and sold a house simultaneously through WH Brown of Holt, due to circumstances we had to move quite quickly and got to completion of purchase two weeks after offer accepted which is probably near something of a record I imagine. I take most of the credit for that myself chasing solicitors but then I am a egotist.. the agent were excellent in all stages through the sale and purchase. Richard, Amy and Jan especially were on the ball and on the phone and on the case throughout.
