We were very happy with the service provided by William H Brown. Steve was very accommodating in meeting us before the office opened on one occasion and also gave us good advice in terms of contacting trades people.
Despite being extremely busy, Oana made the effort to get to know us personally, was always really warm and amenable even when we were pestering her, always kept her promises in terms of keeping us informed, and she was the perfect go-between in terms of us, the vendor and solicitor. After an initial 'time waster' and the first agreed sale falling through we were quickly introduced to a new purchaser and the sale concluded pretty quickly. Selling as POA was not without it's difficulties in ticking all the boxes and providing the correct paperwork but throughout the process I was kept fully informed where I am sure the Unthank Road team spent many hours unbeknown to me to pull things together.

Went for a viewing with my son to look at a flat in the old hospital in Norwich . We were meet buy a woman who was very polite and took us into the hall entrance of the building . It had a number coded door to open she had the wrong code for the door we were lucky some had just come in with the right code and we followed them in .We got to the flat we were going to view both sets keys would not work to let us in the flat . We had to go away with out viewing the flat . The above estate agent said they would make another appointment to visit . After waiting 6 days no contact from the above we gave up . Very poor service will not be viewing any more with them

Stephen is slimy, dishonest, unprofessional, unpleasant, rude and all around the epitome of why estate agents are detested.
Every single dealing with Stephen Creed was horrible. He made the experience of buying the house with them so deeply unpleasant i wish we had not engaged with them.
Stephen - buying a house for the first time is a big deal for people. They don't need a greasy slimeball of a used car salesman type absolutely polluting every single interaction with his poor communication. Just be polite and friendly, it's not difficult, you're not personally invested, so don't be petulent, rude, and combative!
Whether it was emails or phone calls, you were utterly appalling at your job. I guess that goes with the territory of being an estate agent - nobody wants you, but we're stuck with you and you know it, so you don't give a damn about doing a good job.
I'm sorry for the other people who have to work with Stephen. I can't imagine he's popular in the office if his conduct with clients is anything to go by. if you're thinking of selling you do not want this Wormwood trying to sell your home as he will absolutely represent you in the worst possible light.

If you're looking for an agent who lacks communication, never available to speak to, never responds, does not provide a service and will conveniently only speak to you at point of an offer being put forward then this is the agent for you. I gave up in the end. Thankfully the other agent in the chain and solicitor were in communication but shame this agent, dealing with Stephen, fell so far short.

One of the worst Letting agencies I have come across. If your student, they will bully you, harass you and put the fear of God into you that you will lose your property unless you put down a deposit immediately. Manager is useless and bullying tactics are just not acceptable.

Georgia Green at William H Brown's Unthank Road office assisted me recently when I was looking to obtain a mortgage. Finding a lender was more difficult for me because I am paid in a foreign currency, but Georgia was able to identify a major bank that does lend to people paid in this currency. She made the process of providing various documents and other pieces of evidence to the bank much easier and less stressful than it would have been had I done it myself. In the event I didn't need to go ahead with actually applying for the mortgage, as a flat of mine that was on the market sold. Had this not been the case, I would have been happy to have applied through Georgia. I would recommend her service to anyone looking for a mortgage broker.

Like most people, I have had good and bad experiences with estate agents over the years. I lived in Norwich for many years and dealt with most in the time that I was there. I bought and sold my last house through W H Brown on the Unthank Road. I cannot recommend them highly enough. When I bought my last house, the seller let me down badly throughout the agonising process. On moving day, the seller left me stranded on a Sunday with no keys. An agent from the Unthank office came to the house to give me access. When I came to sell the same house, I was happy to use W H Brown, who managed the sale well, with minimal stress for me. I have single out James Knott for special mention. He co-ordinated the sale and after-sale completion process. When things go well, that can be a straightforward process. In my case, things went badly wrong. The completion did not happen on the Friday when it was scheduled. James stayed at the helm beyond office hours, keeping both me and my buyer in contact during a truly awful day. Over the weekend that followed, James was brilliant. He prioritised communication over the weekend and kept us in touch and informed. The test is when things go badly wrong. They did for me. James was communicating with lawyers on both sides and providing assurances to me and my buyer. On the Monday, after days of white-knuckle stresses, we finally completed. James helped hugely. He was professional and really attuned to how unbelievably stressful it was for me and my buyer. I can recommend him and them wholeheartedly.

They say house moving is the most stressful thing you’ll ever do , add to that a pandemic and me being a virtual technophobe and it doesn’t look promising!!
I chose Browns because Laura was confident she could get me a higher price than had been suggested by other agents.
She wasn’t wrong !!
The effects of the pandemic meant the sale/purchase was very drawn out but I was provided with weekly updates from the very helpful Mary-Jayne. If I had any issues at all, it didn’t matter which of the team answered the phone, I was always greeted with a happy polite manner and provided with a swift answer.
I have to give a special comment to Mary-Jayne who went above and beyond in helping me contact solicitors and helping me with certain emails and technical bits and pieces.

Cannot recommend the service and staff at WHB Unthank Road enough - particularly Michael, Dominic and Bradley although all members of the team are friendly and helpful. We were always listened to in terms of the type of property we wanted and never shown something that didn’t fit our preferences or pressured in any way. Any time we called the office, emailed the team or saw them in person, whether it was a general enquiry or specific financial and property advice, we received speedy and helpful replies. We have felt really confident that we are in good hands both in terms of property purchase and mortgage advice, and this means even more when you are a first time buyer! We wouldn’t hesitate to use this branch again for mortgage reviews and buying/selling.

We only have experience with W H Brown in reference to Michael the mortgage adviser, but he was brilliant.
Every time we found a house we liked the look of we'd give him a ring and he'd often be able to give us great advice. He also helped when we were making an offer on our house about the best way to play it.
When it came to actually getting a mortgage, again he was really helpful and accommodating, often seeing us late in a weekend. We ended up with a mortgage we were really happy with.
All in all, very satisfied customers.
