Borderline illegal sales tactics. The sales team lie about fake offers put into properties to try and increase your offer. Twice I was advised of higher “offers” that had been received and that I just needed to increase my offer a little bit more. Spoke with my solicitor who confirmed there were no other offers. Spoke with Clyde who advised these were “verbal” offers and the solicitor wouldn’t be aware of them!? Pulled my offer out of principal and lack of trust with the Clyde team. The property I was trying to buy now remains on the market unsold. I doubt the owner is even aware as to why we actually pulled the offer.
