We dealt with James mostly for the purchase of our new property and very pleased with the care and attention he gave us in the similar vein to vendors he was representing. Both Lesley and James were approachable and were keeping in touch with the vendors regularly to provide regular updates which was crucial for us at every step of the transaction. We didn't feel there was need to have more help from other than James mainly ( and Lesley covering while James was away ) and that's exactly what you need when you can just rely on one point of contact for all matters, for quick turnaround of responses that helped with decisions. Finally, having known James through our own searches, sales transaction in the past, can vouch him for someone who will do a good job in a courteous, polite and approachable manner.... Read more

Cromwells Carshalton provided an outstanding support during our recent house purchase. Lesley was particularly efficient, responsive, and proactive in facilitating communication between us and the sellers. She maintained a professional and constructive relationship on both sides, which really helped the process move forward smoothly. This experience was a refreshing contrast to our previous one with another agency, where we felt completely unsupported. That agency didn’t do much to keep things moving—just called now and then to ask for updates. When we flagged delays on the seller’s side, they said they don’t usually get involved in communication between buyers and sellers, and just want to be kept in the loop. That hands-off approach meant we waited over three months for documents, whilst their solicitors either ignored our conveyancers or gave them false information. Eventually, we had to pull out of the purchase. So by the time we approached Cromwells, we were in a difficult position, urgently needing a home while paying thousands of pounds for temporary Airbnb accommodation. Lesley understood the urgency, kept things on track, worked closely with everyone involved, and thanks in part to her efforts, we completed the purchase in just eight weeks. Credit goes to all parties, of course —our conveyancers, the sellers, and their legal team—for being responsive and efficient. But Lesley’s role as a reliable point of contact was key in making the whole process far smoother than we expected.
