Sadly I split up with my Wife of 10 years during Covid. Horton and Senate found me a beautiful place to rent near my workplace and have supported me throughout. When my boiler stopped working and when one of my taps failed they immediately sorted it. Those things are really important to me. Like really important. A property was listed for rent on the morning of Tuesday 01/09/2026. We rang the same morning as soon as senate opened to book a viewing and was told that we were the first to enquire and they would be in touch tomorrow (02/09/2026) as they had only just listed it and that the lady who will be managing the viewings for it is off today. Didn’t receive any calls or anything the next day (02/09/2026) as advised, so following day decided to call on the morning (03/09/2026) and said to them we havent been contacted. Different lady answered from the initial call, assume this is the lady who is managing the viewings, told us it was fully booked out for viewings and that it was tough luck. She had a terrible attitude towards us on the phone about it too, as though we were making it up! Crazy! Absolutely disgusting! We were first in on that listing. We think it’s because we told them we have a young child on the initial call. They can’t discriminate so they accidentally forget you. Don’t use this company, will be looking into further options of complaint with official bodies with how this was handled also. Addition to this review - What’s even funnier now is that this property is today 03/09/2026 showing as let agreed now. Though the supposed viewings that were fully booked are supposed to take place on Saturday 05/09/2026. So how is let agreed? How have the relevant checks been made with the tenants of whom it is agreed with in less than one day from listing, and without even doing a viewing yet either? Screenshots and timestamps all taken, can’t wait to to take these questionable practices to the ombudsman.... Read more

I tried to book a viewing for a rental that appeared early Tuesday morning. I called straight away as soon as Senate opened and was told we were the first to show interest. They said someone would get back to us the following day because the person handling viewings wasn’t in. Nobody contacted us at all. By Thursday morning I rang again to find out what was happening. The woman who answered this time spoke to me like I was inconveniencing her. She said every viewing slot had already been taken and acted as if we’d never been told anything in the first place. The attitude was completely unnecessary and honestly quite rude. What makes it worse is that we were confirmed as the first people to enquire. The only detail mentioned on the first call was that we have a young child, and after that it feels like we were quietly pushed aside. It doesn’t sit right with me, and I’ll be raising this formally because the whole situation feels unfair and badly handled. Then to find out via their website that the property says let agreed in 24hours without viewing even taking place on Saturday like i would be told they would be.... Read more
