I recommend using a traditional Estate Agent like Property Explorer for your house sale. Do not be tempted by the budget online DIY Estate Agents. They seem like a good idea at the time, but when your sale collapses due to the snail-slow progression and lack of support, you will wish you had opted for a proper Estate Agent.
Although there was not a Property Explorer near me, I had used them for 3 previous house sales and trusted them implicitly. The professional photos were taken and my listing was online at Right Move in super-quick time.
Property Explorer were able to manage the queries and issues from me, my buyer, seller and both solicitors. There were different requirements and timelines from all parties, but Property Explorer managed all expectations with ease. In fact, Property Explorer managed the whole process seamlessly, from start to finish. I have just exchanged contracts on my sale and purchase and I am delighted. Amazing service! Thank you!!

We really cannot recommend The Property Explorer highly enough.
From our very first interaction right through to exchange, the service was flawless from top to bottom.
Even at the very beginning — which now feels like a lifetime ago — booking and confirming viewings was handled more efficiently than with any other property we viewed. Communication was clear, prompt and organised. The information pack provided was thorough, and the Rightmove listing itself was detailed and accurate, which immediately gave us confidence in the professionalism of the business.
Oliver, who showed us around initially, was professional, knowledgeable and gave us space to properly view the property without pressure. Danny Low handled the offer stage calmly and fairly, helping both sides reach agreement smoothly and transparently.
The real standout throughout was Kevin Cheeseman.
Kevin’s sales progression was exceptional. During what became a very stressful and delay-ridden conveyancing process (outside of the agent’s control), Kevin was proactive, persistent and completely on top of the chain. He chased solicitors, maintained communication between all parties, and ensured momentum never completely stalled.
As buyers — not even the direct client of the agent — we felt supported throughout. That speaks volumes about Kevin’s professionalism and integrity.
When things became tense, Kevin remained calm, solutions-focused and highly responsive. We genuinely believe the transaction could have fallen apart without his involvement.
If we ever come to sell this property, The Property Explorer will be our first call. We would confidently recommend them to anyone looking to sell their home.

I have received truly exception service from everyone at The Property Explorer, over several years. Originally in connection with a property rental, but more recently a property purchase and also mortgage advice. Nothing has ever been too much trouble. Responses to queries or the occasional maintenance issue have always been effective, prompt, extremely friendly and very professional. I've been treated like a valued customer, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Property Explorer to prospective renters, sellers, purchasers, or anyone looking for a (re)mortgage: and I am sure it doesn't have to be for a property purchased through them.
It turns out property agents who actually care about customer service do still exist! Who knew!?!

I can’t give any Zero score on that property agent due to “No show “ and not professional attitudes. The property agent didn’t send me the invitation email before. When. I arrived at Basingstoke and just stay in town centre to wait ( can’t get exact address then just stand-by on its appointment. Once I got the hidden call from the agent ( Mxxk ) , who said I failed to attend on time but I did not know the details of property and can’t find it at exact location.
I was Trying to take the train from London to Basingstoke but could not view anything for my relocation. Very “so-called professional “ that property agent is !!!!

Working with Danny has been such a great experience. Knowledgeable, honest and professional - 3 things that my partner and I have struggled to receive from any other estate agent! Absolute 5-Star service from The Property Explorer. Simon is super responsive and kept me constantly updated. He arranged an out of hours viewing due to work commitments, and is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended.
