Dealt with Vesper for around three years.
It started well when we originally moved in.
They use a platform called Goodlord for rent payments and setting up the tenancy, which never worked and repeatedly sent us emails and texts saying we hadn't paid the rent when we had. We spoke to Vesper about this, who said they couldn't fix it but told us to ignore the demands.
They didn't pay the council tax liability from before we moved in, and when the council pursued them for it, they wrongly told them we were liable.
The property we rent was sold, and they didn't tell us; we had to find out from a phone call from the new agent. Asking Vesper for confirmation was an ordeal and almost meant we paid the rent to the wrong person (Goodlord also sent us reminder emails that our rent was due two days before, despite the landlord changing).
They didn't (and still haven't, despite multiple emails) transfer our deposit within 30 days to the new landlord. The director has stated Vesper is "closing communication," despite still holding the deposit and not mentioning when it would be sent to the new landlord.... Read more
