13th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)Bradley's took over the advertising and sale of my mother's house after another agent had failed miserably. They were very professional in all aspects of their work and achieved a sale, albeit for less than we wanted to achieve.

10th Jun 2024 (1 year ago)The literal embodiment of why estate management companies have a poor reputation. 6 estate managers in 6 years. No AGM organised in 5 years, 6 months to deal with a blocked drain caused by their own contractor. 2 months and 6 emails and not a blade of grass cut in the estate with tall weeds growing from tarmac pathways. Good at talking, not so good at doing, Excuse after excuse.

22nd Jan 2021 (5 years ago)Southgate originally acted as letting agents for our property - they are efficient, reliable and nothing was too much trouble. They have now acted as selling agents, this took a bit longer than anticipated but Southgate agents have kept us informed and been helpful during the whole process.- 30th Oct 2025 (20 weeks ago)The sale was dealt with in a very professional manner with all the staff being efficient helpful and friendly.

17th Oct 2025 (22 weeks ago)I rented a property via West/East of Exe for two years. It was a perfectly good experience. They were always friendly and responsive, and I had a good experience for viewing and securing the property, moving in, dealing with maintenance requests (of which there were only a few), and then the end of tenancy and move out process. It is worth noting that as West of Exe are an agent, to some degree the tenant experience also depends on how helpful and responsive the landlord is. In my case the landlord was quick to respond to the agency, and was very fair and reasonable, agreeing to the few maintenance requests I made. Repairs were arranged quickly. I also had no problem at the end of the tenancy - I returned the property in the condition I received it and my deposit was returned without question or hassle - again, this is also likely to be dependant on having a reasonable landlord behind the agency. Overall I had a good and smooth experience as a tenant.

Throughout the whole process the Team at East of Exe, Jo, Tilly and Matt have supported us. Professional, knowledgeable,calm and efficient, we cannot recommend them highly enough.
13th May 2022 (3 years ago)I first met Brett a couple of years ago when looking into the student market. I didn't do anything at that time. It was a pleasure to meet Brett again in July 2021 when viewing another property, and subsequently other properties. Brett is generous with his time, doesn't rush you, and tells you the facts as he sees them. I feel he gives his views and advice in a very straightforward manner which is what you want as a buyer or a seller. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brett for his professionalism, friendliness and someone to go to for advice. I have now met the Lettings side of Star and found them extremely helpful as well.
22nd Mar 2023 (2 years ago)I had a very, very disappointing experience with Star Lettings back in the summer of 2021 – I'd been served with a section 21”no fault eviction” due to an issue with mold in the bathroom floor (which it transpired was caused by a “long term leak under the bath”) I still owe money to southwest water because of this. I'd reported the issue with the moldy bathroom floor to Star Lettings some two years previously. This notice to vacate was on hold throughout lock down due to Government legislation but didn't do much for my peace of mind. In my experience it seemed that the landlord always came first and I lost half my deposit even when I'd cleaned the house as requested though it was difficult given the underlying mold issue that should have been addressed when I raised two years previously. I was also told that the flat would be completely renovated as the landlord planned to turn the place into an AirB&B (which I believe has happened) so I left the place completely empty with a clean up as best as I could (thinking I wouldn't overly invest too much time in it, given the renovation would be going ahead anyway) After moving I contacted Star Lettings about my deposit but Star Lettings tried to withhold my entire deposit, in the end I managed to get back half of this, but not without a struggle. I needed the money as it certainly wasn't easy finding a new flat immediately post lock down

23rd Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Angela was very relaxed through the entire letting process in a refreshing down to earth manner on a unit I rented. Deposit returned in full and on time with no drama. If all agents were like her it would make life much less stressful. 100% recommended.

4th Apr 2025 (11 mo. ago)Absolutely zero communication after expressing interest in a property, despite chasing several times..politely. Thankfully, I wasn't in a rush or desperate unlike most people unfortunately are. Assured I would be called back/contacted, which had been to no avail. Wouldn't approach them again, if god forbid, I did find myself in a desperate situation.

He was very approachable from my initial contact and extremely knowledgeable about the housing market (both locally and nationally) including when and how to market my property using the latest technology.
