2nd Mar 2019 (7 years ago)We are student at Durham University and we decided to rent a house. I called the estate agent and they agreed to send us the agreement and everything to rent this one house that we really liked. We were supposed to arrive a week later to submit the forms and pay deposit. When I got the papers, they confirmed with us that the house would be definitely be reserved for us. However, the morning we were supposed to hand in the papers, I got a short, badly articulated email saying that the property was no longer available and that we should look somewhere else. No explanation, nothing. We were angry because student accommodation is competitive and we lost so much time waiting for this house. Upon emailing them multiple times, they finally said that the previous tenants decided to stay for another year. Didn’t they confirm with the current tenants that they would be moving out? Why would they even list the house if that was an option? .Why send us the agreements and everything? They didn’t even bother trying to find us other options that we could stay at instead. All and all, I would never use this agent again because their service is absolutely terrible

It was a difficult sale, and a quite e few issues cropped up during the process. When things cropped up, the response from Andy and Caz was always fantastic. They made sure that things were dealt with quickly and professionally. They kept their fingers on the pulse, and made sure that we were always well informed. When anyone in the process was dragging their feet, Andy or Caz intervened immediately and got things moving again. The friendliness and professionalism that they showed was terrific, and they made us feel that we were friends as well as clients. We know for certain that no other estate agent would have done so much for us. We recommend them wholeheartedly, and would use them again in an instant.

26th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)The original estimate was £180k. I moved to a modern auction on their recommendation with an asking price of £120k after no interest. There was not interest at £120k and currently I'm selling the property privately at £95k.
