8th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)I felt the agent had a lack of knowledge and understanding of our local area, and was too focused on metrics rather than seeing the advantages of our particular property over some of the other properties around us. I felt there was too much pressure being put on us to drop our asking price after only a few weeks in.
26th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Hi all, reviewing this company home cloud and appreciation and gratitude of Gemma, she been helpful, polite and responsive to aspects of working along side as sub contractor to carry out various task and plumbing, she has an understanding of works and knowledge. Been great communication with liaising with myself and tenants to arrange access to jobs, and after care. I speak as a contractor and tenants I’ve met have said she a great asset to the company and enjoy having her as my contact to deal with home cloud clients. Absolute delight. Look forward to carrying our relationship in the 2022 year as she progresses to be a great co-ordinator to myself and tenants… Go Gemma

Unfortunately, after five stressful months dealing with a very difficult buyer, it was clearly not meant to happen and the sale fell through. Throughout, Mark Price showed true professionalism - always proactive and on hand to give advice and keep communications going. I received regular updates and advice and were able to answer any questions that I had. 9th Aug 2024 (1 year ago)I hate writing awful reviews but sometimes it’s a must. Me and my boyfriend were on the search for a new property. We were so excited to view a property in Chagford. All was smooth sailing, we moved in mega quick and we were so happy. 3 months in my boyfriend reads me an email tonight to say after the 6 months we won’t be extending your tenancy. We are both are shock, people have been so quick to moan and complain about us but never hear our side. I’ve reported so many problems about our house and it doesn’t even get the slightest attention to fix the problems and we are worried we are going to be penalised for something’s that aren’t our fault. Ive been here so many times after hearing this is a long term let, 6 months goes by and you got to move on, we are good decent, hard working young couple who is just trying to find our way and we are being kicked out for made up reasons our neighbours have lied about. We don’t deserve this. You just cannot win in this world!

14th Jun 2024 (1 year ago)The old art of selling fivers for a quid! Cross Estates, overvalued and undersold! Avoid our mistakes!!! From a valuation of 500,000 GBP nearly two and a half years ago, to final sale price of 370,000 GBP (-26%) shows the real bottom line of having a property, in Carbis Bay, sold by Cross Estates. The housing market may have dropped since the original valuation, but by 26%???? After an initial flurry of hype of how Cross Estates had international and domestic clients lined up, the reality was something else. Having clearly over valued it at the start, we only had 14 viewings in the following two years . They spent nothing on advertising. Finally it was sold as a fire sale for 130,000 less than their original valuation, yet they had the cheek to charge their full fees. We looked at Bradleys but in the end we were stuck with sole agency with Cross Estates, a very poor, and costly decision. Unfortunately we were not the sole owners of the property and our probate interests were not fairly represented. Cross Estates were asked to keep us informed but failed to do so. Interestingly Bradleys has just sold an identical property on the same street for 20,000 more than Cross Estates. If you are considering selling your property with Cross Estates, I would strongly advise against it. SELLERS BEWARE! Cross Estates merits 0 stars as an estate agent. The full 5+ stars as cowboys.

From start to finish he, Judith & Vicky kept us fully informed on our purchase & nothing was too much trouble. We have bought & sold several times using other agents, and at a time that is often pretty stressful this is by far the most professional, honest & caring team we have ever experienced. The icing on the cake was the wonderful surprise of their hamper, deliciously put together by Stone's Fruit & Veg in St Just - such a thoughtful touch when we collected the keys. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this outstanding estate agent.
