Emily and Ellie were especially a pleasure to work with: they both provided us with a really smooth and efficient service from passing on our initial offer, through property viewing, referencing to contract signing and handing us the keys to our lovely new home. They even surprised us with a personalised Home Move Box, which was such a nice touch and made us feel so welcome. I and my husband can only recommend Emily, Ellie and their Lettings Team to other prospective lettings customers looking for a great service. I would also like to give a big shout out for Gemma for her amazingly efficient and expert mortgage advice and matching us with the best mortgage lenders. I can’t thank everyone at Brown&Merry Tring enough for taking property matters to the next level.

Loved the virtual tour of our home when it went up for sale and the pictures were really impressive - great attention to detail as well. First time using Hunters and will highly recommend to anyone selling or buying!

10th Jul 2025 (11 mo. ago)I cannot praise or recommend Brown and Merry Wendover enough. I have never been one to leave reviews, but I felt incredibly implied to do it in this case. Our fantastic experience began with viewing the house we were purchasing. We viewed the property two times, firstly with Sylvie and secondly with Ruby. Both were absolutely fantastic experiences, and they both did as much to sell the house as the property itself. On both occasions we were handed beautifully presented brochures, which were fantastic additions to the viewing and more than anything, fantastic memoirs for the house we were purchasing. They were knowledgeable, kind and not in anyway overbearing, completely contrasting all other experiences we had had with estate agents. We submitted an offer for the property, which was accepted, and were immediately given all options in relation to conveyancing, processes etc. Once again, a really thought through stage. During our purchase, through no fault of Brown and Merry's, we began having issues with our solicitors. And in particular, issues with an enquiry from our conveyancers. We were advised by them to call Brown and Merry for advice, and upon doing so were passed to Claire. Claire took it upon herself to liaise with us, the sellers, the sellers solicitor, our solicitor etc. to assist in organising a resolution that would allow exchange and completion. She chased everyone almost everyday, updating us throughout and creating communication between both sides where there never was before due to incompetent solicitors. We had a point of contact for which nothing was too much to help with, and the purest example of someone going above and beyond where they were in no way obligated to. I truly believe without Claire's assistance, we would not be at the exchange stage we are now. Thank you Claire. In summary, if you are thinking of buying or selling through Brown and Merry, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone better.

24th May 2023 (3 years ago)Very poor level of service from day one until departure. Failed to look after our best interests as customers paying rent and basically had to deal with poor customer service throughout. Approach with extreme caution.

Every member of staff we dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, and fully up to date with our sale. At every stage we felt that everyone was working together towards the same goal: achieving the best possible outcome while making what can often be a stressful process feel calm, manageable, and well organised.<br><br>Oakleys’ understanding of the local Berkhamsted market was exceptional. Their advice on pricing, presentation, marketing, and strategy was thoughtful, realistic, and clearly based on many years of experience. The quality of the marketing materials was first class, viewings were handled professionally, and feedback was always prompt and informative.<br><br>Once the sale was agreed, the team’s commitment was equally apparent. Jeff was very quick to respond to questions and kept us informed all the way through the sale! The whole process from start to finish only took 9 weeks! We went with the suggested Conveyancer (Premier Property Limited) who were also very profressional. We would definitely recommend them as an agent. Thanks for such great service with a smile!

23rd Jun 2026 (12 days ago)AVOID AT ALL COSTS.<br>Only leaving 1 star as unable to leave 0.<br>We have just purchased a property through Christopher pallet, Colin and Ross are both horrible people. They hound you every day with passive aggressive emails until completion, then once completed if you have any issues they are completely uninterested and ignore you.<br><br>When we had our survey done, it was picked up (among other things) that two of the windows in the property were not working correctly. This was raised when discussing a reduction in price. Ross informed us that the windows would be fixed by the owners before completion. His exacts words were “the owners are going to get the mechanisms fixed, so consider that done”. What a liar. We raised on day one when we entered the property that this had not been done. They have ignored us repeatedly on phone calls and emails, and have now replied saying they are not going to do anything to help this. I’d honestly rather not sell or purchase a property than give this morally corrupt “business” any commission. I will be making a formal complaint to the property ombudsman and seeking legal advice.<br><br>Edit<br><br>I’m sure the reader of this review can tell how condescending and passive aggressive Ross is just from his reply. ????????????

25th Jun 2026 (10 days ago)Thank you to Hunters for selling our house - Simone in particular has been brilliant for all our questions and helping us present the house in the best way we could offering practical advice and always being approachable. Hunters kept us updated at all times during the sale and we particularly liked the 360 tool as part of the house advert online - meaning buyers could see the measurements of the room, try it with/without furniture and reducing the need for lots of viewings as it was very accurate and available 24/7 online. Thank you!

They sold our property within 3 weeks of going on sale, even within a difficult economic period. Photography was excellent and thorough.<br><br>We would strongly recommend Jacob and Orchid, we were extremely happy with the service.

However, Chase and his colleague Erien have gone above and beyond for us to support and help with any questions we may have had! With their quick responses and in depth searches for the best deals i can’t fault them! Erien has worked around the clock to get us the best rates for our mortgage! I don’t know what we would have done without them!
