24th Feb 2023 (3 years ago)This agent requires sixteen weeks.There wasn't communication after the contract was signed. The property was on the market, but it was the twelfth week before anyone enquired. Could not locate agents window on the high street. They do not use professional photographers, which was definitely a mistake. The agent works alternate Saturdays, but never informed me beforehand, and suggested I didn't tell him I would be away. Unsure of the question as he did agree to conducting the viewings. One viewer was due to come on a Saturday, but never showed. It's possible she tried to contact,but got no reply. It's the same response I got when I rang twice on that Saturday. He got the keys along with instructions to the alarm, but still managed to set it off. He does not come over too well, and can't say it's the right career choice.

In a very challenging market, where I had been lied to and duped by other agents, they provided an honest, highly professional and also supportive service when it was needed. A massive thank you to Andrew, David, Zoe and Mandy - a super team who got me a great result ????

16th Jul 2021 (4 years ago)Really down to earth Agents, not pushy at all. I think they have a good team at Bloxwich. Will sometimes even contact you out of their operating hours. Give honest pricing to sell your home too.
17th May 2025 (1 year ago)Shelley at Home4 was excellent. Within a few days of the board going up we had 22 viewings and was sold very quickly after They informed me by text the dates and times of each viewing. They even helped me with my technical issues.
21st Jul 2024 (1 year ago)Awful experience, they listed a house which I later found out the owner wasn't even ready to sell, the agent in charge of the sale told me the seller was after asking price so I matched this and got all of my paperwork ready for her but after doing so she was constantly making excuses and taking excessive time to respond to anything regarding moving forward with the sale. She initially told me the property in question was rented out at the moment and the tenants were already re housed pending a sale, later I found out this was untrue as she admitted the tenants have not been re housed yet and I have not heard from her since, (Its been over 2 months), not even a sorry for wasting my time or even an explanation as to what happened. To this day the house in question is still listed for sale on their site. If you guys don't want your time wasted then I'd recommend you stay away from this company and look for a property elsewhere.
26th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)Been with Northwood team for more than a year and had couple of issues in property which were later on picked up by Geraldine one by one and all issues were sorted on priorty basis. Communication was so great and contractors were assigned to each issue. Happy to be one of the tenant with Northwood Solihull :)
29th Oct 2021 (4 years ago)We recently tried to rent a commercial property that SJ had. Ryan the representative had zero knowledge nor could answer any of our inquiries. Weeks later still no emails, month later we received an email that our offer was declined with no explanation as to why. Many attempts later to speak to anyone other then receptionists fell on death ears. Terrible run business all should avoid at all costs.
16th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)**?? ?? WARNING - HIGHLY TOXIC ???? ** The worst agent ever in the entire world 0 rating. Stay away for your sanity and safety. Thieving clowns, very very very deceitful - 1 lie after the other. Should be investigated not fit to be a housing agent. Can never get through to them to fix issues with the property only concerned about taking money monthly. Stay away !!!!!!. I would give them a minus 100000 rating if I could

Their communication and support have been excellent throughout, and we have been very happy renting through them. Highly recommended.
2nd Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)Recently called trying to book a viewing on an industrial unit , was told it had been taken off the market so I asked if there was anything similar or they could offer any alternatives , was then told no and there was nothing and couldn’t get me off the phone quick enough not quite sure what kind of services they offer but they’re not very helpful ??????

My situation with selling my house and buying the one from yourselfs was complex at times but with her understanding and support it went super smoothly Sharon is a a great ambassador for Hughes and Son's and I will be recommending her and your estate agents to any family or friends wanting to sell or rent a property. I

25th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I had a completely unprofessional experience with John Shepherd Estate & Letting Agents regarding a rental property in the Gravelly Hill area. On June 23rd, I submitted a viewing request through Rightmove for a flat where I fully met all the pre-qualification criteria mentioned in their listing, including income, move-in date, and tenant profile. Since I received no response, I went in person to their office on June 24th. They confirmed that my request was in their system and told me I would be contacted later that day to arrange a viewing. That call never came. I followed up again by email on June 25th, which was also ignored. Meanwhile, I tried calling multiple times during working hours, but their phone line appears to be permanently down. It always plays a message saying no one is available, with no way to leave a voicemail. This is not only unprofessional, it makes them completely unreachable. To make matters worse, the listing was marked as "out of market" on June 25th without any notice or explanation. I was never informed if the property was let, withdrawn, or if I was being considered at all. No courtesy email, no update, nothing. I made every effort to follow their process, I showed genuine interest, I visited their office, followed up in writing and by phone, and I met all their listed requirements. In return, I received complete silence and zero transparency. This is not just poor service – it is a total lack of respect for applicants. If you are a prospective tenant, I strongly advise caution when dealing with this branch. My experience showed a complete breakdown in professionalism, communication, and basic standards of letting practice.

It has been a swift and straight forward process so far and Tom has been able to answer all our questions in a timely manner as well as link us with other useful contacts that has helped massively!
