We have just moved into our new home having purchased through William H Brown at Aylsham. From start to finish, the whole team have been fantastic! Starting with Will who we first met when we visited Aylsham earlier in the year and we popped into the office to give our details. Then Emerson who showed us round the property. Finally the marvellous Miranda who kept everything moving along and was always so prompt in getting back to us. I enquired about a rental property and I was told that I wasn’t going to be a suitable tenant based on my age and because I have children. I note that both of these factors are directly or indirectly to protected characteristics and this represents discrimination in breach of Pointens’ obligations under the Equality Act 2010. Further I note that this conduct in relation of tenant screening is due to become directly unlawful under the new laws coming into force on 1st May 2026, so for tenancies starting on or after 1st May which the one I enquired about likely would, this is questionably unlawful now....
