22nd Apr 2026 (17 days ago)Our chain looked straight forward on paper but we had so many unnecessary issues up and down the chain which caused us so much stress and confusion. One of the only reliable professionals we had was Heidi. She was the agent for the house we were purchasing and she went above and beyond what she needed to do to help keep the chain moving and get us some answers to what was going on. If we ever move again we would probably use Simon Blyth.

Heather is both professional and friendly, always responding promptly and keeping me updated throughout the process. I would highly recommend Heather and the team in Uttoxeter.

Lorraine was brilliant, got us on the market next day, better price point than we had thought and sold it within 2 days. Emma was fabulous at guiding us through a sale and a new purchase, she kept us updated, also helped keep us calm when we needed support and saw us all the way through to completion. I wouldn’t sell my property with anyone else. Thank you Lorraine and Emma, you were brilliant and I would highly recommend you both to anyone and GH are lucky to have such exceptional people representing them.

Loads of local knowledge, professional advice and felt friendly and honest. From first viewing I felt like I was in good hands, right up until completion when they accommodated a last minute viewing before exchange and went over and above to sort keys. Don’t usually get this level of service as a purchaser. Thanks again!

9th Mar 2026 (9 weeks ago)A speedy and professional job by Rod, Aaron and all the staff I dealt with Alexander Jacob. I'll try to keep this short; I had a small property for sale in Retford which had been rented for a while with another estate agent in town and I asked what they thought I could get on a sale and after an extensive discussion they suggested it be marketed at £80k and wouldn't budge on it. I was never going to accept this and a third party(thank you Shane!) suggested I speak with Rod, he told me £100k would be easily achievable and indicated a little work be done, which came to less than £1k and was arranged by AJ, and I sold for £110k. I'm not suggesting that this will be everyone's experience but Alexander Jacob clearly have a far, far better grip on how the local market is trending than some other estate agents in town.

Then throughout the process Matt helped provide updates and the solicitors were great. Fantastic deal experience I will be recommending to everyone and coming back if I want to sell!

25th Nov 2025 (24 weeks ago)It’s really important to find an estate agent that can market, generate interest and ultimately get that sale you are wanting and Alexander’s can do this. What most people forget about is the process from accepting that offer to completion day, which can be a long time, in a long chain, with long delays from various solicitors and issues that arise. Molly Mcbride at Alexander’s is extremely tenacious, educated and has your back all the way to the finish line. She single handedly progressed our whole chain, constantly chasing up and down, jumping over every hurdle and there was a few! Had we chosen another estate agent I would still be waiting to exchange, it’s opened my eyes into how important it is to make sure you instruct the right estate agent with the right people. Thank you so much Molly!

THEN CAME JMS ... ((WOW)) What a diamond find, excellent service, superb knowledge, wonderful personalities, tremendous communication skills and MOST IMPORTANTLY ...a WE can do approach. None of this you'll have to do that we have someone who can do that THEY JUST DID. Caryn, Jo-Anne & Pauline you did a wonderful caring service and should be nominated for any estate agents awards ....HIGHLY RECOMENDED ... Chris ...

10th Dec 2025 (21 weeks ago)NEEDED TO RENT AN APARTMENT.FOUND ONE IN PADFIELD,VIDEO WAS FORGOTTEN,EXCUSE,WE ARE HUMAN. APPLICATION FORM COULDNT BE OPENED.FOUR DAYS LATER WE MANAGED TO FILL IN APPLICATION FORM,BUT TOO LATE LANDLORD HAD ALREADY FILLED THE APARTMENT. WE THEN WERE DIVERTED TO AN APARTMENT AVAILABLE AT KINDERLEE. ON MONDAY WE WERE APPROVED,PAID THE £230 HOLDING FEE,WITH MOVE IN THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY,LUNCHTIME. HAVING HEARD NOTHING BY 2PM ON THE FRIDAY,I RANG JORDAN FISHWICK FOR AN UPDATE? WOOPS THE APARTMENT HAD MOLD IN AT LEAST TWO AREAS.AND ALTHOUGH FURNISHED,WE WERE INFORMED THAT THE TWO BEDS HAD NO MATTRESSES!! FURTHERMORE,WE COULD NO LONGER MOVE IN THAT DAY,BUT WITH LUCK THE FOLLOWING MONDAY,AFTER CLEANING. WE WERE ADVISED TO CHECK IN AGAIN AT THE TRAVELODGE(£70/NiGHT) NOT WANTING THE ADDITIONAL COSTS,WE CANCELLED,AND RENTED SOMEWHERE ELSE. 10 DAYS LATER I STILL AWAIT THE REFUND OF THE £230 HOLDING FEE. RUBBISH,AVOID,GO ELESWHERE!

Someone is always at the end of the phone to offer guidance or reassurance. The staff who came to the house to value/take photos/show people around treated my property with respect. Having lived here happily for many years, they helped me find the right people to love it when I have moved to my new adventure.
