17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

6th May 2025 (10 mo. ago)Mann are not good at communicating with their landlords. They do not communicate well with the various departments within Mann. They are not good in carrying out reviews of properties.
3rd Feb 2021 (5 years ago)When looking to secure a tenancy we were not kept up to date or informed if our offers had been accepted or unsuccessful, after emails and calls not returned we went elsewhere and secured a property with all checks completed in 48 hours. Do not recommend
9th Aug 2023 (2 years ago)Dean and Nicola handled our sale. The purchaser made the process drawn out and quite stressful but Dean and team were superb. In particular they were very responsive to all messages and communicated constantly - so even when the delays were stressful we had the very welcome contact and reassurance we needed. I have to say we were very a little embarrassed by the commission rate for the amount of work they did. Great value for money. Professional at all times and lovely to deal with. Big thank you. (Ps review site is odd - tapped the far right star in most cases and assume this registered 5*. It would be better if the stars turned gold so you knew for sure what you were scoring).- 20th Feb 2026 (26 days ago)Lauren was absolutely fantastic helping both my dad and I with a mortgage appointment. 22nd Apr 2024 (1 year ago)I have been working with Lindsay Johnn for almost a year on the sale of my mother's house. I live in California, and the house was in probate and other agents and lawyers kept telling me how many potential complications I was likely to run into, but when I met Lindsay, instead of worrying me, she reassured me and filled me with confidence! Yes, of course we ran into a couple of problems, but Lindsay always met us with solutions even before she told us what the problem was!???? To say she is cool under fire is an understatement. Her customer service was second to none. As I said, I live in California, and if I emailed her in the evening my time she wouldn't just email me back when she woke up, she would call me the next morning on my way to work! As I said, the house was in probate, so it required a long period of time before exchange of contracts and completion, which required strong negotiation skills on her part, and she got us what we needed! I only met Lindsay once in person, and I only regret that I wasn't able to work more with her in person, as apart from being a wonderful estate agent, she is a lovely person too! If you don't retain Lindsay to buy or sell you a house, you are missing out! Dominic Fergus-Bentall

4th Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)We had an offer accepted on a house being marketed by Brambles. However, they refused to update the online listing as 'Sold STC' online until the memo of sale was signed by both parties. In that time frame, another agency who had showed the house to a buyer several months prior gazumped us and we lost out. Brambles then tried to get us to engage in a bidding war. Based on this experience I would not recommend this agency. They lost thousands in sales commission and we lost our next home, all because of their stupidity.

2nd Mar 2026 (16 days ago)We had brilliant service from Nicki and all the team. It was a slightly complex sale but nothing was too much trouble for Pearsons. They are professional, helpful, gave good advice, and made it feel like a team effort. We had a great outcome of a timely sale at a fair price. Warmly recommended.

Ours was a frustrating and drawn out chain but they remained professional, proactive and communicative throughout. They kept us informed at every stage, chased where needed and helped keep things moving. Their calm and courteous approach made a stressful process far more manageable. Highly recommended. Poor at showing people around- I have cameras and heard a few remarks from the agent that were inaccurate and likely to put people off. Poor during initial conversation- making promises that were immediately broken about a house we loved that they were marketing. Also failed to carry out basic information gathering that we have later discovered is a legal requirement.
