Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Right from the start Sims Williams Walberton had our back. From the start when we met Sara Morgan, we were impressed with their straightforward, no nonsense approach to selling our house. The staff in the office were excellent in arranging viewings and letting us know how those viewings went. Once the property was sold we were served excellently by Louise Thompson-Dodd of the Progression Team with plenty of conversations and always available vie phone and email. Even when the first sale fell through we were able to re market straight and a new buyer found the next day to get us back on track. Right up to when contracts were exchanged Sims Williams were there to help with last minute hiccups. Cannot recommend Sims Williams highly enough, 5 stars is not enough!... Read more
