Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.... Read more

From a landmark buildings perspective of East Grinstead this is one of the outstanding gems of architectural heritage. A simply beautiful building. I've often looked at the wonderful construction. And wondered its history. I used to do dowsing as a hobby years ago and marvelled at the apparent fact of all the underground catacombs and tunnels - of which there are many - seem for some reason to make for under this impressive old building.... Had Garnham H Bewley provide me a valuation not knowing what my house was worth after 15 years here and after some recent upgrades carried out. Very knowledgeable of the local area, on what my house was worth and what it would likely sell for. If I do decide to move I’ll definitely use them in the future. Very friendly, enthusiastic but not pushy like other agents.... Read more

Chris has been excellent throughout the process, both selling and supporting me in the purchase process. He has gone above and beyond in all his support. The images to support my sale were some of the best I've ever seen, with additional video and drone images of the area. His narrative to describe my home was engaging not just a bland description of a room. He understood that you are not just selling a property but a lifestyle. I cannot rate him high enough....
