5th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)Amazingly bad service We rented a complete owned property for just over 2 years. In that time we had about 5 property managers. This should say all you need to know. Each one not knowing what had gone on before. Given the fact a week before we thought we were moving in we had to chase them to find out nothing had moved forward and they were waiting on us to send documentation (we were not told). Throughout the 2 years they were never really there to help you. After we have left they have tried to keep around 75% of our deposit which is absolutely insane. Missing furniture that never existed in the first place, the most expensive cleaning quote imaginable and £50 to remove a single chair. These are some of the excuses on the quote. Try and avoid complete properties when possible!!

30th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)Used Louis and team to sell my property. No sales bull on first meet, just straight honest advice and clear pricing. The house was sold fast at the right anticipated price. Anytime during the process I needed Louis to prod the buyer or solicitor he was all over it. He was a pleasure to deal with who delivered exactly what he said he would. Unlike the previous agent with the red boarding who royally screwed things up. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Hindhead again next time.
23rd Feb 2026 (23 days ago)We had a fantastic experience buying our home, and a huge part of that was down to Abidul. From day one it was obvious how seriously he takes his work — professional, always on top of the details, and genuinely passionate about his job. He was the lynchpin in ensuring the process ran smoothly and acted as an amazing bridge between us and the buyers. I could (and did) pick up the phone to him and he would be able to offer clear guidance and practical solutions efficiently and effectively. It was pleasure from start to finish. Jill Parry was also absolutely excellent and really came through in unlocking the transaction. The whole team around Abidul and Jill were also very impressive and kept everything moving seamlessly. I would like to also say huge thank you to Joanna she’s been amazing, without her it wasn’t going to be possible for us to manage all of it and to move as quickly as possible, she was very respectful, kind, and so helpful, even after we moved in, so big thank you to Joanna!!!??- 28th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)Fuse box was burning and nothing was done after reporting several times, had to call fire brigade 2 days later, whereby they confirmed it was still a massive fire risk (Truepennys did not act when 15 people’s lives were at risk due to a serious fire hazard). I was put in a temporary room with no power, light, heating during cold temperatures outside (I was freezing - -1 degrees outside) - and instead of helping they ceased to act on my behalf, and cancelled the contract. This left me with no one to communicate with, as they refused to speak to me on the phone from thereon after. I was left in a flat with no power and me and my girlfriend had to sleep at a friend’s house, as it did not seem safe but TruePennys didn’t care. The directors refused to speak to me after agreeing to call me back 5 times - truly shameful and Truepennys should be really disappointed with how they treat people. They never reply on emails or on the phone. They are now refusing to release my security deposit and ignoring emails. This along with mice issues, bathroom smells and dodgy fridges and ovens which were reported for the entirety of our tenancy and nothing was done. However, not responding to a life threatening incident is disgusting by all accounts.

His professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of a reliable and skilled estate agent.
23rd Feb 2026 (23 days ago)Very disappointing experience with this agency. Communication from their representative, Josh, was unnecessarily argumentative and lacked professionalism. Reasonable requests regarding suitable viewing times were inaccurately presented as a refusal. As a tenant, I remained cooperative, yet the tone and approach taken made the process stressful and uncomfortable. Professionalism and respectful communication should be standard practice in any property agency. However, he was lack of them. In this case, Josh clearly fell short of these standards. In contrast, my communication with Jena was professional, polite, and respectful. She arranged viewings appropriately and approached matters in a courteous manner, which made cooperation much easier. Professional and respectful communication makes a significant difference, and I hope this agency ensures consistency across its team. Update in response to the agency’s reply: I stand by my review, as it reflects my genuine experience. I have retained screenshots of the communication between Joshua and myself, including responses that I found dismissive and unprofessional, such as the use of a laughing emoji when I mentioned raising a complaint. This understandably gave the impression that my concerns were not being taken seriously. For clarity, two viewings were successfully conducted at the property with my agreement. This clearly demonstrates that I was cooperative and did not refuse access. As a working tenant, I simply requested reasonable availability within my schedule, which is entirely within my legal rights. Leaving a review on Google is also my right as a consumer when I feel my experience does not reflect the standards described in your response. Should the matter require independent review, I am comfortable referring it to The Property Ombudsman so that an impartial assessment can determine whether the communication met appropriate professional standards. I remain willing to cooperate within reasonable and respectful boundaries. However, I do not wish to continue communication with Joshua and request that future arrangements are handled by another respectful representative.

With no other estate agency would you get such senior members of staff doing the viewings themselves. In the past I’ve had viewings with recent graduates who are new to the market- with Bhoday you are in much safer hands
