From the very beginning, the team was supportive, professional, and approachable throughout the whole process. We first met Ed, who guided us through our house viewings. He was very professional and well prepared, always able to give honest answers to our questions. He also played a crucial role in helping us during the negotiation of our offer. We decided to use the broker they recommended, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Hermione was extremely professional and attentive, always kind and patient with all of our questions. She worked hard to find answers and support us throughout the process. There were some difficulties and delays along the way, but she kept us informed whenever there were updates and directed us to the right people when needed. The broker also helped us arrange our insurances and our will, which was incredibly helpful at a time when there were so many things to organise. Gary handled the liaison between us and the seller, and he did a great job keeping communication clear and moving things forward. Thank you all for the great work. We would definitely use Brown and Merry again in the future if we require estate agent services. The whole team was both professional and genuinely human, understanding the emotions their clients go through during such an important process.

Nothing has been too much trouble. Klaudia has always managed to accommodate my requests with a friendly and supportive manner. Kerry too has been there for me when I was panicking!! 9th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)I am extremely frustrated with this company and their lack of enthusiasm and professionalism in their efforts to sell our house. The feedback they provide is always, “They like the house, but…”. I feel they show little to no genuine interest in getting our property sold. I can attest to this based on my own experience viewing houses with them. On those occasions, they have simply stood in silence while we looked around, offering no input or effort to highlight the property’s features. I believe this lack of salesmanship is a key reason our house is not selling. After just two weeks on the market, they suggested reducing the price. When we agreed to a percentage reduction, they then dragged their heels and pushed for a further decrease, claiming the price would otherwise “look strange”. We have two young boys, which already makes arranging viewings challenging. Last minute cancellations and the failure to provide accurate information to prospective buyers continuously waste our time. Most recently, we viewed a property and were not informed that it had been sold the very next day again, a complete waste of our time.

The whole team are professional, approachable and genuinely committed to delivering the best experience possible. A very special mention has to go to Charlie, who truly goes above and beyond. From our first enquiry to receiving our valuation, everything was handled with efficiency and care. Charlie arranged our valuation super quickly and provided clear, honest advice that made the whole process feel straightforward and stress free. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble and every question is answered promptly and thoroughly. If you are looking for an estate agent who is proactive, reliable and genuinely supportive, I would highly recommend Robinson Estate Agents. An exceptional service all round.

13th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with David during my recent property purchase. I was contacted and told that the seller would withdraw unless we exchanged contracts within the next six hours. This was delivered in a rude, condescending and patronising manner, implying that any delay was my fault. At the time, my solicitor had advised that we were not yet in a position to exchange and required a further three working days to complete standard legal checks. That is not unreasonable. It is responsible. (due to huge delays in obtaining information from the two management companies in place that were not disclosed to me) When my solicitor contacted the seller’s solicitors to clarify the alleged ultimatum, they confirmed they were unaware of any such deadline and were perfectly content to wait the additional few days required for a proper exchange. Despite this, David then contacted my solicitor’s firm and, I am told, behaved incredibly unprofessionally towards both the receptionist and my solicitor directly. He has since posted a massively misleading negative review about their firm and my solicitor online. She was simply carrying out her legal obligations and protecting me from any risk. I have contacted him twice privately asking for the review to be removed so the matter could be handled professionally. I have received no response. High pressure tactics, inaccurate claims of urgency and disrespectful communication have no place in what should be a professional transaction. Buying a home is stressful enough without unnecessary hostility from senior leadership. I would urge prospective buyers and sellers to ensure they are comfortable with this style of communication before engaging. As a side note: I cannot fault Tom at all. He was a fantastic point of contact, it's a shame he's working for a firm headed up by such an unprofessional MD.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
13th Mar 2026 (5 days ago)I recently sold my house in Hemel and I can't recommend Orchid enough - and one person in particular: Jacob. He was on board throughout the whole process - from valuation and viewings, liaising with other agents, right through to the final sale. It makes a huge difference dealing with one person, and he was always on hand to answer my (sometimes quite daft!) questions and to offer advice. He was realistic, professional and always sensitive to my needs and requirements. He 's also an extremely nice guy - which always helps! I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and the quick sale of my house meant I was able to purchase my new home much more easily. I have already recommended Jacob and Orchid to friends and family in the area and I have no hesitation in spreading the word further afield. So thank you Orchid.. And thank you Jacob!

17th Nov 2025 (17 weeks ago)They didn’t sell my house. I had to pull them off and go for a PTX as they began to give me anxiety. They didn’t keep me up to date and when it came to speaking to my PTX company they gave inaccurate information which affected my valuation. They seem like lovely people but I don’t think I will recommend them to anyone as there were just too many issues that I felt I didn’t have to deal with.
