Far more than just a local estate agent in the Cotswolds area, Murrays punch way above their weight and run a first-class operation that matches buyers and sellers with remarkable precision. A buyer for our cottage was found pretty quickly from their list of quality clients, but the subsequent sale process was far from straightforward - listed buildings (as most are in Painswick) throw up all sorts of complications, such as missing consents & permissions that cut-price conveyancers pounce on with glee. James Murray and his colleagues displayed infinite patience, charm and diplomacy to keep the sale on track. Really poor communication buyer did not have mortgage in principle. They also were first time buyers and we werent told when the first time buyer isa matured. We had a roofer turn up at the house wanting ro assess our roof. This is after a level 3 survey and estate agent allowed this. We also lost our deposit of £1k for onward rental because estate agent wouldnt communicate we needed to complete on a certain date. Would never recommend the Abbeymead branch to anyone!... Read more
