6th Aug 2025 (10 mo. ago)All the agents kept us updated as to the feedback from viewers and eventually when we had an offer on the house unfortunately it took a long time to complete but that was the fault of the solicitors. I cannot fault the Estate Agents

9th Jun 2026 (26 days ago)I had a fantastic experience with Daniel Bright from Lettings. So impressed with the level of professionalism and how quick things were sorted. From a viewing at 10:45 to 1pm, a holding deposit was paid and the flat was taken off the market. Huge thanks to Daniel for all his help, cannot wait to move into a lovely new flat!!
25th Feb 2023 (3 years ago)Have used Ascend for 4 years to manage my flat in Liverpool. During the pandemic they found poor tenants with minimal vetting, carried out no inspections (even after restrictions were lifted). After I made my own inspection I had to alert them to the problems they were missing. When the tenant left my place in an aweful state, their own agent admitted this was terrible. Finally, I received demands from debt collectors for unpaid council tax bills from a void period that the agent never passedon to me. Ascend claim they never received the 3 reminders from the council and refused to take any liability for their mismanagement. I lost £600 in fees and a significant knock to my own credit rating. A large agency that likes to charge management fees but doesn't actually manage. Stay clear - I'm sure there are better options out there!
14th Jan 2021 (5 years ago)Found that viewing were being booked but some never showed, offers were being made but always mysteriously disappear or are not chased back. Just lost confidence completely. The feedback was vague also.

She kept us informed every step of the way, promptly answered any questions, and went above and beyond to ensure everything progressed efficiently.<br><br>The level of customer service we received was exceptional from beginning to end. 22nd Sep 2025 (9 mo. ago)I once excellent company completely wrecked by its new owners. The company used to be very easy to communicate with, now its easier to communicate with the dead. They use to be polite, but Northwood regard tenants as an inconvenience. I had eight years of good experiences but the ninth is a mess, and its all because Northwood, the new owners, are terrible. It must have taken a lot of effort to transform a great company into one I am now writing a one-star review for on every platform I can find, but they managed it.

1st Jul 2026 (4 days ago)Ok, so this is going to be a tricky review to be positive about. I want to be as honest and helpful to people reading this review, rather than just say I am annoyed at something and give it a one star. If you don’t have much time to read through this, then please read this headline: I massively regret using Thornley groves. They were genuinely awful, barely reached any level of competence, I ended up LOSING money, and it was hugely stressful. I only rented a place. I cannot imagine ever buying or selling with them. Please read the other reviews carefully and don’t dismiss them as I did. I wish you the best in whatever estate agents you choose. This review is my opinion and not meant to affect business with Thornley Groves in any way. OK, on with the detail. First, the good parts. They had a lot of choice and were quick to get me viewings (I did them through video or pictures) and were happy as campers to ‘get me in’ and on their books. Yep, that’s it. That’s all I have. The not so good (not even the worst parts yet). I dealt with the Deansgate (Whitworth street) branch and with an absolutely abysmal person, Peter. If you do choose Thornley Groves and get assigned Peter, do or say whatever you can to work with someone else. I am not sure how to put this without being cruel, but I also owe it to my (soon to be) Manchester neighbours to be honest. This is my honest opinion. Peter is, without a doubt, the worst person I have ever dealt with professionally. Genuinely. That is not even hyperbole. He is inadequate, lazy, afraid of basic tasks, unable or unwilling to do anything even at the bare minimum level, and honestly just embarrassing as a fellow human. He wouldn’t return emails. Ever. In fact, he did but only when it came to sending them money or signing a document. Anything that needed any effort or work, he literally ignored. He is like a toddler but in an adult body. Simply unable to operate at any sort of adult level. I had to call and call and call. I even got the train from London to the office so I could literally use my own mobile phone and dial numbers to connect with others, so he could talk to them. He used my phone because he couldn’t make a phone call for himself. (He also claimed he tried but could never get it to work, but it took me literally three minutes. Genuinely, I have the call log!). He didn’t give me the correct keys to move in. Once we got through it, Peter gave me the front door key and I asked if there were any others. Mail keys, apartment building keys, etc. He assured me no. Literally all keys were needed. It took me 3 weeks and speaking with other people at Thornle Groves to get the window key (still waiting on), apartment building/trash room key, and mailbox key. Even when I collected the keys, I overheard him talking to another person that very day, just before me, saying he gave the wrong keys to him. Also, they don’t tell you who your service providers are. I spent a few weeks tracking down who I need to pay bills to. You are given a list of UK service providers and that’s it, just figure it out for yourself. Lastly, the goodlord referencing company were just as bad as Thornley groves. They sent so many referring emails to my employer (they only need one but sent around 6 over the course of weeks) I had the owner of the company asking me what was going on. They took weeks longer than needed. It cost me around 500GBP in hotels for the delay, and they lied, multiple times about things they were doing. One lie was to say that my company had never replied (even though the owner and head of HR showed me the replies themselves). Thornley Groves chose to use that specific referencing company. Their behaviour also reflects on them. If you have read this far, then fair play, this one was a long review. The thing is, I don’t believe this is a one off. I am not just some random person with a grudge, I am like you. Looking for a new place, wanting it to go as smoothly as possible. I have all my ducks in a row, great credit, good job, charm and charisma (well, maybe not), and it was still a nightmare choosing Thornley Groves and, ergh, dare I say his name, Peter. The abomination they call Peter! I wish I had took the other 1-star reviews more seriously. I thought they were just some disgruntled people and it would be fine. It wasn’t. I deeply deeply regret ever speaking to Thornely Groves.

28th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Nothing but impressive. I had several options of estate agent to use when selling my property in May 26. An initial visit from Ryder and Dutton ( and others) left me with a clear choice of who i wanted to handle the sale. The initial visit by the branch Manager ( Matthew Clayton) was professional and filled me with confidence , equally recognising the realistic potential i could sell the property at. Further visits for viewing and photographs were all coordinated efficiently by Mitchell Cust , leaving me feeling i was in good hands. The proof was also in the pudding, as an offer was received the day after a bulk viewing was arranged. I would 110% recommend Ryder and Dutton if you want to sell your house quickly and with the assurances you have a great team handling the sale of your property . Thank you Matthew , Mitchell and the team for an outstanding service, also for selling my property within hours of the viewing.

The team was professional, friendly, and highly efficient throughout the entire process. They made everything smooth and stress-free, always keeping me informed and providing clear guidance along the way. Their communication was outstanding, with quick responses to any questions and a genuine willingness to help. The attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high standard of service really stood out. I would highly recommend Leaders Fallowfield to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy letting and estate agent. A truly five-star experience!

They set my expectations at the beginning, which was good. The process has been a smooth one. They fitted in visits around my shifts. I liked the fact that the viewings were done on one day without me being there (great when you live with a toddler) They have always been prompt in replying to any messages. They have made this part as stress free as possible for me.

22nd Jun 2026 (13 days ago)The worst service ever, i have just rented a property from bentley hurst and i have faced the worst service ever i received the property in the most felthy way no one clean anything after the previous guest and they scam me by sending the inventory report before they handing me the key after i reported the cleaning situation they responded was wait and we will send the cleaner to clean the property i refused and left the key i asked them to clean the property and change the move in date , ofc i had to keep calling them as they haven’t updated me for 2 days , and tell now didn’t receive the key for my letter box or even an apology, they wont even deserve a 1 star review, pay more than 5k for this property and the guarantor and dealing with this now ,even though he building concierge mention he received to many complaints on this agency, you don’t wanna rent from this agency

30th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Property sold after 3 days of listing and completion took place around 1 month later. Can't complain - Divan & Jack were amazing and kept me reassured the whole time. I'll be bringing Let Property another one of my on the next tax year. Highly recomended.
26th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)The lady that came along to value the property was good, she had local knowledge and got the valuation about right i thought. After that the experience wasn't as good, not letting us know when people were going to view,and worse not letting the tenant know,on more than one occasion people just turned up without anyone knowing!
