30th Sep 2026 (27 days ago)Our experience of buying our new home through Abbotts was extremely disappointing.<br><br>Communication throughout the process was very poor. It was often impossible to get through by telephone, leaving us listening to music for long periods, and when we did have the option to leave a message, our calls were not returned. Emails were also regularly left unanswered, which made the whole process far more stressful than it needed to be.<br><br>On our second viewing, we were expecting to meet someone at the property, but nobody turned up. We were left waiting and had no communication or explanation as to why nobody was there.<br><br>We even had to contact the Norwich branch ourselves and ask them to get in touch with the relevant office to arrange this.<br><br>Buying a home should be an exciting and memorable experience, but unfortunately our experience with Abbotts was made unnecessarily stressful by the lack of communication and organisation.<br><br>We are very happy with our new home, but sadly we cannot say the same about our experience with Abbotts. Based on our experience, we would not use them again or recommend them.

Any questions we had about the property were answered within 24 hours, and it really feels like they went the extra mile. In particular I'd like to thank Isabella for her help throughout this purchase - I hope her manager is reading this; she deserves some recognition!

I was updated at all times & nothing was too much trouble for them. I was very grateful for their caring support & guidance during a difficult time in my life.
20th Apr 2026 (6 mo. ago)I enquired about a rental property and I was told that I wasn’t going to be a suitable tenant based on my age and because I have children. I note that both of these factors are directly or indirectly to protected characteristics and this represents discrimination in breach of Pointens’ obligations under the Equality Act 2010. Further I note that this conduct in relation of tenant screening is due to become directly unlawful under the new laws coming into force on 1st May 2026, so for tenancies starting on or after 1st May which the one I enquired about likely would, this is questionably unlawful now.

And certainly on one occasion we thought that’s it’s not going to happen but joannaof sowerbys after sale section kept things holding on with some extraordinary lateral thinking during a chase for missing contract.
