I have just completed on my new property bought through Barton Fleming in Bicester. From the start I was shown the property by Terry, and from there on in dealt mainly with Colin. I couldn't fault them. Any queries I had of which there were a few were sorted and dealt with. I feel I built up a good relationship with them and they went above and beyond to sort out any issues I had. We were struggling to sell our home which was on the market for months before we moved to Connells in Bicester. I had given up hope somewhat and gave them a short window to get it sold before we withdrew from the market and they immediately had a string of very positive viewings and found us a buyer very quickly. The whole team were fantastic, friendly and helpful, especially Lydia and Polly who I spoke to a number of times and they conducted some viewings with our buyers. Kevin also performed a number of heroics in chasing the rest of the chain to keep things moving forward and was always extremely responsive and willing to help, even making calls for us on his days off which was above and beyond. Very disappointing experience with Mark David. After eight weeks on the market, we had just one viewing and very little communication or proactive marketing. When we asked why our property wasn’t selling, we were told it was because of Donald Trump and the current wars in the world, rather than being given any meaningful advice or strategy. We are now back to square one and have to find a new estate agent, yet we’re tied into our agreement until the end of July despite many of the things we were promised not being delivered. Communication was poor, with promised weekly updates not being made and the excuses for not being able to generate interest in my house were ridiculous. For example my village doesn't have a train station! Not proactive in anyway, asking me for suggestions as to what they could do, to do their job. Expected the online platforms to do all the work....
