28th May 2024 (2 years ago)House sold for £173k after original valuation was £215k due to market conditions. Had to contact the Office at times to try and get some action. We were forgotten about at times.

8th Jul 2026 (7 weeks ago)I can highly recommend Pattinson Estate Agents for a great local service. We found everyone we spoke to at the Wallsend branch, and auction team, to be friendly and professional - and our valuer Josh Cowey, was especially helpful and knowledgeable.<br>As we live out of the area, we depended on additional services from Pattinsons, such as - getting the EPC arranged, and accompanied viewings. Updates on potential buyer feedback and viewings were provided regularly, and it was useful getting text reminders whenever a viewing was scheduled.<br><br>One note of caution though - we were not happy at all with BridgeView Law (formerly Butterworths), who Pattinson recommended for our conveyancing. We received little-to-no communication from this firm, and our completion date was delayed by almost 3 weeks as a result. We have listed again with Pattinson's on another property but we will not be using BridgeView again.- 9th Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)Really impressed with the communication from everyone at Pattinson. 11th Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)I bought my house through Jan Foster Estate Agents over a year ago, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst and most stressful experiences of my life. What should have been an exciting milestone turned into an absolute nightmare because of the way this company operates and, in particular, because of the behaviour of Ashley, the agent I dealt with. From the very beginning, Ashley was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He spoke to me in a condescending manner, showed no patience, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a client making one of the biggest purchases of my life. Simple questions were met with attitude, poor communication, or no response at all. At times, he was outright disrespectful, which is completely unacceptable in any profession, let alone estate agency. Communication throughout the process was shocking. I was constantly left chasing for updates, clarification, and basic information that should have been provided without me having to beg for it. Deadlines were unclear, things were poorly explained, and I was often left feeling confused and stressed because no one seemed to care enough to do their job properly. Instead of being supported and guided, I felt ignored and brushed aside. Buying a home is supposed to be handled with professionalism, respect, and care. Unfortunately, that was entirely missing here. The stress, anxiety, and frustration I went through could have been avoided if Ashley and Jan Foster Estate Agents had shown even a basic level of courtesy and competence. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Jan Foster Estate Agents to think twice. Based on my experience, they lack professionalism, respect for clients, and proper communication. I would never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone. This experience left a lasting negative impression and completely took the joy out of buying my home.

Lorraine mailed me or called me with updates, facilitated comms with the seller, I felt like I was aware of everything going on. Would use them again and thank you MR!!

29th May 2026 (12 weeks ago)Rook Matthews Sayer (Jesmond) have managed my property for the last 17 years, including around 15 years as a rental property and the last 2 years while it was on the market for sale. Throughout the rental period they were generally reliable and easy to deal with. Whenever maintenance issues arose, they would contact me promptly and arrange local contractors to carry out the work at reasonable cost. Over a long period of ownership, there were no major problems and I felt the property was looked after well. During the sales process there were a few challenges, including a complicated issue involving a neighbouring property which resulted in the power being disconnected to the building. Although this took some time to resolve, RMS were able to provide the information I needed and the sale was ultimately completed successfully. Communication was mainly via email rather than phone calls, but I found the team responsive and helpful whenever I needed assistance. Managing a property from a distance can be difficult, so I appreciated having an agent who could deal with issues on my behalf over many years. Overall, I would like to thank the team at RMS Jesmond for their support over the last 17 years and wish them all the best for the future.

From first contact, the valuation, photography, brochure preparation, first viewing and receipt of an offer for full asking price took less than 3 weeks. Sales Manager Rachel Smiles was especially helpful in giving advice on content of the sales brochure and her friendly staff in arranging the 2 viewings by first interested party. We would highly recommend this agency to value and sell your property quickly at its true market value.
