   Simon Blyth really is a case study in how Estate Agency should be done, everything in our experience was delivered courteously and efficiently during our recent sale through the Kirkburton office and purchase through Penistone, so I can vouch for how great at least two offices are!<br>Grace Wharton was exceptional in dealing with all matters from the original listing process, viewings and then the more taxing aspects of managing the chain for contract exchange and completion. This is what separates a good agent from an exceptional one and Grace certainly earned her stripes with the heavy lifting that was unfortunately much needed with these aspects.<br>I have to mention as well that the professional photography was worth every penny and the quality of the images really showed the property at its best, which I am sure contributed to the massive number of views on Rightmove, the long list of viewings booked for the Bank Holiday weekend as it went live, and ultimately the second viewers offering the asking price.    BE CAREFUL IF YOU OR YOUR NEIGHBOUR USES PAISLEY PROPERTIES - They posted a photo of our vehicle with the registration clearly visible, it appeared on the listing for a neighbouring property. It was published on their website and social media. Our vehicle was parked on our private property, not visible from the roadside and accessed via a privately owned driveway. The photo featured along with our complete address details. We had to ask several times for it to be removed, we complained in writing and their response was that they would not communicate with us about this issue.No acknowledgment of their error, no explanation as to how it had occurred and no apology. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional and this was the business owner.... Read more

   *EDIT to respond to owner*:<br><br>As suspected, as with the additional drone footage photos which were only added AFTER we complained, they have once again lied about us being supplied footage of our home being locked. This categorically has never been sent to us. It just goes to show how far this company will go to protect their reputation, completely and utterly lying stating they have evidence that they gave us. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN.<br><br>It isn't just the one agency that warned us, it was every single agent in the Holme Valley area - they are getting quite the name for themselves and we can absolutely verify that multiple other agents have stated many of their clients have come to them as a direct result of Home & Manor's failings.<br><br>It is just lie upon lie upon lie, I cannot actually believe they are getting away with it as they are.<br><br>Avoid Home & Manor at all costs. An utterly incompetent and unprofessional estate agency.<br><br>After four months of dealing with Home & Manor, we have finally moved to another estate agent. Our experience has been nothing short of appalling, and we deeply regret not listening to the warnings we received before signing with them.<br><br>Communication is dreadful, and the sheer level of incompetence suggests a poorly trained, understaffed business incapable of delivering even the most basic customer service.<br><br>Just some examples of what we've experienced:<br><br>- Viewings: They waited over a week to inform us that a viewing scheduled for the following day had been cancelled, despite admitting they'd known all along. Not even an apology.<br>- Organisation: Staff seemingly have no idea what's recorded on their own system, including viewing feedback we'd already seen ourselves.<br>- Broken promises: The service promised during the owner's initial sales pitch was completely different from what was delivered.<br>- Drone photography: After chasing for SIX WEEKS during the summer, we were told the weather hadn't been suitable. When the photographs finally appeared, there were just two poor-quality images. After questioning this, another two suddenly appeared, which they then insisted had been there all along, which was not the truth.<br>- Property security: Our home was left unlocked, a serious failing they subsequently denied.<br>- Management: The owner is readily available when securing your business, but once you've signed, getting hold of them to escalate problems is another story. Ignored calls, excuses and zero accountability.<br>- Social media: Despite promising frequent promotion and boasting about their social media presence, our property was posted just TWICE in four months.<br><br>What makes this agency particularly infuriating is their attitude when confronted with their failings. Rather than accepting responsibility, apologising or resolving issues, they argue relentlessly, seemingly more concerned with protecting their reputation than actually selling homes.<br><br>We've since been told they've lost five properties from their listings in just two weeks. Although we cannot independently verify the circumstances, given our experience, it wouldn't surprise us.<br><br>I fully expect their response to this review to be the usual carefully worded damage limitation, claiming they've spoken to us, apologising that they haven't met our expectations and denying responsibility. We've heard it all before. Even when presented with evidence, they would rather argue than acknowledge their mistakes. Any apology at this stage feels utterly insincere.<br><br>In our experience, Home & Manor are far more interested in securing your business than delivering the service they promise once you've signed. Selling a home is stressful enough without constantly chasing your estate agent, checking their work and fighting to get the basics done.<br><br>We've wasted four months dealing with broken promises, incompetence and unnecessary stress. Thankfully, we've now gone elsewhere.<br><br>Please do your research, read the negative reviews and think very carefully before trusting Home & Manor with the sale of your home. We wish we had. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.... Read more
