Amos Estate Agents really do look after the community. They will collect shopping for our older generation in bad weather, they are happy to help others raise money for charity, but also help charities themselves. At Xmas they have our children post letters to Santa, then they post letters back from Santa to the children, helping to make it a magical time for them. Amos was used when we purchased our property six years ago and were more than helpful after the purchase. We would definitely give them our business if we were to sell.

Recently sold my property and the level of service received throughout from Amis was outstanding! Our sales chain was a little longer than we had hoped for but the support received from both Colin and Jo was exceptional and they went way beyond what was expected. Amos utilise whatsapp, which may seem a standard mode of communication, but is not typically used by other Estate Agents, but such an effective way of keeping us fully informed of progress and developments which is invaluable. Frankly the alternative is to wait for other Agents to return calls which never happen !! Based on the above i would highly recommend Amos for any future house sales !! Thanks again Colin and Jo

Having a WhatsApp group to communicate is not only a modern way of communication but much easier and quicker than sending emails back and forth, that was a huge bonus. Amos estates is not an estate agency, is much more then that. I moved to Hockley with my family two years ago, and since I know them, they have always been there for the community. This year was the first Christmas that my little one understand santa and he wrote his letter and post it to Amos estates where they delivered to santa and also we received a letter back from the big man it self with a magic present… they did all of this to bring a smile on the kids face and add that special magic to make them happy. Christmas is all about giving and love and they tick all the boxes.

We post our letters to Santa at Amos in Hockley every year and it really makes our Christmas. The letters are all replied to in a personal way and the kids really love hearing what Santa says about them. They add a little bit more magic to the festive season and it's really appreciated.

I thought I would leave a quick review to thank AMOS for supporting us whilst purchasing a property listed with them. Throughout our year journey trying to secure our new home, they have answered every question we have had for them, arranged multiple viewings for us and you could tell they were rooting for us, even when the seller unexpectedly raised his price. We did finally get the property after a rollercoaster of a ride and AMOS were a big part of that.
The only criticism I would have was that when our seller re-entered a chain just as we were looking to exchange, they were unaware and this caused complications with exchange, however the seller of the property hadn't been the most helpful in several situations and I can imagine this was not entirely their fault.

I have been a seller and purchaser via AMOS in the last couple of years. As a seller the price was fixed with no hidden charges. The advertising on line and off line was of very high quality with a 3D virtual tour also included. The methodology for the ongoing review and maintenance of online portals was clearly described leaving no ambiguity. Viewings were arranged in blocks at weekends to fit in with my work schedule. The distinguishing attribute I found was the clear and regular communication.
As a purchaser the property description was clear, concise and accurate. I struggle to use the term 'honest' when describing estate agents, car salesmen etc.. however truly deserved in this case. Again the property was well portrayed on line with a virtual tour included. Both transactions were through the Hockley branch and a shout out to their branch manager who led on both. They also play and active part in the community which is a plus. I would have no hesitations recommending this agent.

Even though we haven’t actually purchased a house with Amos estate agents we were really impressed with the new member of the sales team Reece. Advertised a flat as freehold when not. Now changed it. Still haven't answered any questions about the 135k 1 bed flat in Rochford regarding lease period, service charge or ground rent. Advertising without EPC rating which is a legal requirement. Basically shoddy and trying to pull a fast one on first time buyers who don't know what questions to ask. Will be reporting to Trading Standards if they don't get the information on their website by tomorrow.
