We have had such a great sales process. The last time we moved was 16 years ago and its all definitely changed since then.
The whole experience has been so good from Ellis coming out to us and explaining it all to us, listening to what we needed. Tia came round and took all the pictures which looked great. The house was listed on Thursday and they had 11 appointments booked and 5 in reserve before the end of the day. Tia dealt with all the viewings on the Saturday, from that we had 5 offers straight away.
When we accepted the offer Zoe took over the sales progression, she was fantastic she set up a WhatsApp group with all the other agents in the chain to get regular updates from everyone. She kept in contact with our solicitors and kept us updated too.

Bear were the 4th Estate Agents we contacted to help us sell our property. Truth be known, they were the only ones we needed really.
We worked mostly with Tia for the sale. She was proactive, communicative and most impressive of all, she was innovative too. If things weren’t happening how Tia thought they should be, she shook them up until they were.
Ably assisted by Ellie, Tia is without doubt the most impressive Estate Agent we have ever encountered. She isn’t just capable and dynamic, she is a delight to work with too - so kind, thoughtful and lovely. Tia and Ellie are incredible assets to Bear.
Once we found our buyer, Bare handed the case over to Zoe to manage.
Zoe was incredible. She is hard and tenacious when she needs to be on your behalf, but kind, funny, communicative, lovely and supportive to her customers.
In summary, the people at Bear who managed our sale from start to finish were incredible. They were the right people with the right drive and skills to get the best possible result for us.

Hi All.
My wife and I started looking to purchase our first property earlier this year and found a lovely house in Rayleigh, Essex.
We had an offer accepted with the help of the Branch Manager Ellis at Bear Estate Agents in Hockley who was brilliant and gave us advice every step of the way.
Our file was then handed over to our God send, Zoë M who is the senior sale progressor.
To cut a long story short, our landlord gave us until the 20/08/2025 to vacate our rental property, Zoë went above and beyond and out of her scope of work to push to get all the properties in the chain complete for us to move in on the 19/08/2025!!!!!!!!!

Our experience with Bear Estate Agents has been nothing short of appalling. From the moment we began our property search, we've been met with broken promises, poor communication, and a general lack of professionalism.
We initially had our offer on a property in Graham Close Hockley almost accepted, only to find out it was rejected without warning. Then, when that sale fell through, we weren’t even contacted or given the opportunity to resubmit our offer. We were completely left in the dark — no phone call, no courtesy email, nothing. This alone shows a complete disregard for serious buyers.
Since then, we’ve been repeatedly told we’d receive priority for viewings and regular updates on new properties. That simply hasn’t happened. After months of silence, we received just two emails in July — a pitiful level of communication for any buyer, let alone one who’s ready to move quickly with a strong deposit.
When we’ve shown interest in properties — such as those on Bull Lane and High Mead — we’ve either been turned away because viewings were “full” or given conflicting information by different agents. We were told one moment that viewings were being arranged for us, only to be told later that it was an open house we couldn’t attend. It's clear that communication within the team is disjointed at best — or worse, completely careless.
As first-time buyers, we expected to be guided and treated with a basic level of respect and responsiveness. Instead, we’ve been repeatedly dismissed, overlooked, and ignored. We’ve felt from the start that we are not being taken seriously — and at this point, we hesitate to even enquire about any listing with Bear because we expect to be let down again.
If you’re looking for a professional, reliable estate agent who values motivated buyers and communicates effectively — look elsewhere. Bear Estate Agents have made what should be an exciting milestone feel like a dead end.

Buyers beware “commitment fee” scam. £250 commitment fee just to offer on a property which they conveniently forget to give back… luckily I remembered 6 months after completion that they still held our funds but no apologies from Zoe.
Terrible agent from the first viewing (lots of lies) to well after completion.
I have a very long list of grievances with this agent but it would be too much to detail here.

I can not rate Bear Estate Agents enough, selling two houses within a month for me. From the moment I engaged them, they were polite and courteous, even taking their shoes off at the door.
Their communication from start to finish was on point and did not drop the ball once. They managed all viewings effectively, keeping me updated with times and feedback. The unexpected bonus from bears is that they continued to work chasing solicitors and buyers and again keeping me updated.

We had an excellent experience with Bear from start to finish. Roman was great, clearly in touch with both the local and national housing market and BoE figures. Tia and Georgie lined up lots of viewings, all very well coordinated and communicated to us. Zoe pushed the entire chain along, it would have taken twice as long had it not been for her efforts.
All in all cannot recommend the team at Bear enough, perfect balance of professionalism with the personal touch throughout.
