I have the impression that Bagshaws over valued the property to gain the contract. I lowered the sale price, without them suggesting in two weeks to speed things up. The contract is extensive and in very small print with 2 or 3 warning sections. We had one viewer in 6 months, even with my reduced price. I had a suggestion made , by Bagshaws about lowering the price further but they would not lower their commission if I did so. So I now have the impression that the property was overvalued by them to gain the business and for me to sign up because I was attracted to the higher price and when the price was lowered to where the other agents thought it should be they would still have the contact. I'm not saying this is factual but I am saying it is an impression I hold

Maria helped me with my mortgage as I had a change in circumstances, I didn't think I would be able to get another mortgage so soon, but Maria gave me all the help and advice needed to make that possible. Heather was so patient with me when it came to viewing properties and making a decision, one I am grateful for as I love the area I have moved to and it is all thanks to them, their wisdom, patience and kindness. Bagshaws Uttoxeter sold our house about ten times over - almost everyone who viewed it made an offer which was amazing. The photographs were brilliant as was the video and I think it's safe to say that we'd have wanted to buy our own house having viewed both the photos and the video (if we weren't moving)! After we had agreed a buyer and accepted their offer, things dragged on for almost six months due to legal and contractual issues with the remainder of the five-house chain and Heather, Kelly, Callum and the rest of the team at Bagshaws were extremely supportive of us when it was starting to really get us down. They kept us believing that everything would work out in the end and - finally - it did so huge thanks to the team and well done on a great job selling our house for us!

Booked a viewing through bagshaws only to get to the property at the time agreed and to be standing around for 15-20 mins waiting for the estate agent. We then called the estate agent to ask where they was and we was told they wasn’t coming for that time agreed but we could view an hour and half later after a viewing was finished at the same property.

In my search for an estate agent to sell my house, I contacted Bagshaws, as they were local to me. Bridget arrived at my house with a number in mind before she even stepped through the door. Convinced that she already “knew” the house, she didn’t really listen to me explaining all the upgrades I’d made and didn’t take much notice of how different the house was to when I moved in. She convinced me that the house wouldn’t sell at the number I had in mind, because she knew that it had been on the market for some time when I bought it. She suggested that I market it at a number LOWER than what I bought it for (I bought it in 2018, post Brexit, snap election and a VERY different market). When I disagreed, she said I could start it £10k higher than my purchase price. Mind you, I’ve put more than £10k of work into the house.
I pretty much knew I wasn’t going to work with her because of her rude and condescending attitude, but at the end of the conversation she asked me who else was coming around to quote. She was extremely unprofessional when I told her the other companies I had coming out. She even lied about one company, telling me how bad it was and how she knew people who had bad experiences there. I found this the most unprofessional behaviour and knew I’d not be working with her.
Thankfully I went with my gut and went elsewhere, because I ended up £55k richer than I would have been.

What is there to say?
We have just exchanged contracts and will complete next week. It's taken 18 weeks from viewing due to various bottlenecks along the way.
