I recently had Ryan from Bridgfords Sales and Letting Agents Crewe carry out a valuation on my property and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service.
Ryan was professional, knowledgeable and very approachable throughout the whole process. He took the time to explain everything clearly, talked me through the current market conditions in the area, and provided honest, well-reasoned advice rather than just telling me what I wanted to hear.
The valuation felt thorough and well researched, and I never felt under any pressure at any stage. Communication has been great, and the overall experience has been smooth and straightforward from start to finish.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ryan and the team to anyone considering selling in the area.

From this branch, to the overall ‘countrywide’ who manage end of tenancies, I’ve only had unpleasant, negative encounters. That is if they actually bother to answer their phone or reply to your emails. They only engage if it benefits them.
I have been renting for 10 years (two years with this agency) so I know very well what great agent/landlord experiences can be like. This agency enables greedy landlords, and will allow them to increase rent at very short notice, to unreasonably high rates. Six weeks before our tenancy was due to renew, we were told we either had to sign 12 months contract or risk our rent being increased.
The worst of all is that they failed to disclose the fact that the landlord lives next door to the property we were renting. Very disappointing experience.

AVOID GILSON GREY. No issues with the estate agents, but if they recommend Gilson Grey as your conveyancer, don't do it. I've never met a more useless bunch of "professionals". I've spent more than 2 weeks and 30 phonecalls trying to get someone to send in forms for my LISA deposit, a 5 minute task. Can't complete my purchase until then.

I employed bridgfords services for the marketing of my rental property. In doing so they knocked over my wall and are refusing to take any responsibility.
They made promises they couldnt come through on and were in conclusion one of the worst companies ive ever had the displeasure of using.

I don’t normally post reviews, but I feel Bridgfords in Crewe need to acknowledge where they are falling short. I made an offer on a property which was acknowledged, but after that I heard nothing back for over two weeks – and now it’s week three with still no update. I even followed up by email but received no response.
Their communication has been very disappointing, especially compared to other local agents. To begin with, things seemed promising – they showed me around three houses and were helpful – but after that the service completely dropped off. Unfortunately, the lack of communication has left me very frustrated.

I would strongly caution future tenants.
I rented through Bridgfords (Countrywide) and paid all required fees — including over £660 for an early termination agreement. I followed the process, left the property early with their approval, and requested my full £1,030 deposit back.
Unfortunately, the full deposit was withheld. I was not given valid breakdowns or invoices, and the evidence provided was incomplete. After multiple attempts to resolve this, I had to escalate my complaint to The Property Ombudsman and prepare a legal claim.
This experience caused unnecessary stress and wasted time. Tenants deserve transparency, proper documentation, and fair treatment — I did not receive that here.
My advice: Keep all records, take photos, and know your rights if you rent through this agency.

5 star experience from Bridgfords in Crewe. I purchased my first investment property and was guided through a nervous but exciting time by the whole team, whilst I appreciate they do this all day, every day - they explained things so well throughout the process to ensure I was kept fully updated. I used their mortgage broker who got me a fantastic deal and once the purchase completed, their lettings team had an abundance of prospective tenants who wanted to rent it immediately.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I would not even give 1 star 0 stars if possible. Bridgfords Crewe has been nothing short of a nightmare for me as a landlord. They pushed a nightmare tenant on me, despite my clear discomfort, assuring me it would be fine. It’s now been 9 long months, and I have not seen a single penny of rent. This tenant has been nothing but trouble, and Bridgfords has utterly failed to manage the situation.
Their so-called "fully managed service" is a joke. Any time I try to get answers, I’m stonewalled and passed up the chain, with each person passing the buck and offering no real solutions. Bridgfords Crewe has proven themselves to be utterly unprofessional, incompetent, and unwilling to take responsibility for their poor decisions and mismanagement.
I feel completely abandoned and taken advantage of, left to clean up the mess they created. If you’re considering Bridgfords Crewe to FIND YOU A TENANT for your property, think again! They’ll force you into leasing to untrustworthy tenants and provide no support when things go wrong.
Avoid them at all cost!

AVOID DEALING WITH THIS ESTATE AGENT IF YOU’RE PURCHASING A PROPERTY. TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!
My experience with Bridgford Crewe has been nothing short of a nightmare. I initially dealt with Hannah, the sales negotiator, who wasted my time after I placed the highest offer on a property that was accepted. She repeatedly failed to respond to my calls or emails, dragging the process out and seemingly stalling to get more money for the property.
When I then had to deal with Oliver, things went from bad to worse. He was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and clearly in need of serious training on how to handle clients. It’s shocking that this branch can operate with such disregard for people giving them business.
I would strongly advise stay away from Bridgford Crewe if you’re looking to buy a home. Total waste of time and utterly frustrating.

Bridgfords like so many other estate agents in Cheshire are fantastic if selling a house but for those letting they’re abysmal
The rental market in Cheshire is buoyant to say the least so estate agents can just sit back and relax and punters will flood in - that the Bridgfords model
If you’re a landlord - avoid
They are not looking our for you they loook out for a quick rental - sign them up move on Kerching - easy money
There’s no though as to the best applicant - they don’t reply to voicemails, emails - nothing - whoever gets there on the day that the staff member is in gets the property
They’re abysmal - the beauty is we have two properties to sell in Crewe - Bridgfords will never get near them - landlords avoid at all costs

Tracy is a positive, committed & self motivated individual who clearly takes pride in her work . Professional in all that she does Tracy guides you through the whole process with the minimum of fuss, always attentive, any E mail or phone call is dealt with in a timely manner. Backed up by other members of the team Matt Portlock in lettings has proved himself to be a problem solver and has excellent communication skills when dealing with negotiations with tenants. 5 star review being left here, I thought selling a house would be stressful but with the help of the lovely team at Bridgefords is was tbh effortless and I had help and reassurance every step of the way. Professional and helpful, while at the same time breaking down all the complex parts of property selling into understandable language. We mostly dealt with Jade but Tracy and Hannah are always on hand to help when Jade was on viewings or out of office and can say that they are all very approachable and good at what they do. The property market can be a very emotional and tough place to navigate through, but I can recommend Bridgfords as a good agent to get your property sold with. The house was also properly valued as verified in the subsequent surveys.

We cannot fault the service that Bridgford's have provided us at all. From the moment we first contacted them for a valuation to every communication afterwards, they have been great. We rung on Tuesday, had a valuation on the Wednesday (which was a cancellation) and by Friday evening our house was on the market. We had around 8 viewings booked in over the weekend and by the following week it was sold just over the asking price without all of the viewings taking place! Tracy was great at getting the valuation and advertising completed, and we also need to mention Jade in the office keeping us up to date at every step, nothing was too much trouble. It took us around nine weeks to exchange and complete using them and their recommend solicitor (our property was vacant and end of chain). Compared to other phone calls made to alternative agents and the valuations (or rather lack of anything forth coming to get a valuation done), Bridgford's have been great and we won't hesitate to call them in the future if we need to sell a property.

Bridgefords in Crewe are shocking. They are very unhelpful. We have just finished renting from them and all I can say is avoid them at all costs. They have no time for the tenants it is all about the landlords. They are the worst estate agent that I have ever dealt with.

Tried calling 5 times to arrange a viewing and they didn’t even respond to emails. All they do is lure you in with nice properties then immediately take the house down after 1 day. They use this tactic just to collect information from people.

So far I have had a great experience with both our current rented property and Bridgfords. After having an on going nightmare with our previous letting agents and previous property, we are more than happy with the service provided.
Our property is lovely, and we were welcome with a "new home" card and even flowers from the landlord. I have been dealing with Ronnie who kept us fully updated when moving in, and has been in contact since in regards to the property and other necessary information.
Ronnie made our move in quick and simple and catered to our (sometimes) difficult needs when trying to arrange viewings and appointments etc. around our work and lifestyle.
I understand due to job that communication and customer service is key between company and customer, you can provide satisfactory service but going the extra mile is your own choice. Ronnie and other colleagues I have spoken to have always gone the extra mile and have always been polite and patient in the process.
Definitely some recognition to be awarded to the staff!
Thanks guys for such an easy move in at our time of need!

Bridgfords were and are a very friendly and professional company from start to finish.
One of the reasons we chose Bridgfords is because they were the only one to talk honestly and not belittle or talk down their competitors in order to gain customers (unlike two others!), Tracy the manager at their Crewe office was our first contact with Bridgfords and remained courteous and informative from the outset to completion all very professional.
Crewe’s viewings team were excellent, respecting our property at all times and giving prompt informative feedback. To be fair they had three buyers make offers in the first week of marketing and the property was under offer at the end of that week. A special thank you to Emily so efficient and helpful ????
We also bought our new property through Bridgfords Alsager which made this extremely easy for us as they all worked closely, dealing with the solicitors and vendors and keeping us informed throughout the process. Davina Kelly and Sue from the Alsager office were extremely helpful with our purchase ???? (A special thank you to Sue amazingly efficient and helpful!) all was processed quickly and efficiently.

I find the staff at Bridgfords in Crewe very helpful and professional. I have been dealing recently with Steven Woods, Keri and Ronnie, regarding rentals. They have all been extremely helpful and get back to me very quickly, with all the information I need. They have a vast amount of useful, relevant knowledge about renting and they keep up to date with any changes which come about. They also explain clearly and patiently to me what is required and involved. I cannot praise them enough and it's a real pleasure to deal with them. This was my first time renting and wasn't sure what to expect. However I was surprised at how well the team worked together, from initial viewing through to accounts, contracts, maintenance and checkout. Staff at the branch in Crewe were always happy to help and the back office team gave good support. There's a helpful online system for reporting faults and they did follow up until I was happy. All in all, it was easy to work with them. Inevitably there is formality with paperwork, contracts and process but it was about as straightforward as it could be. I'd be happy to use them again.

Just wanted to share my positive experience with Jess at Bridgefords. We have sold our home but our new one isn't ready for 3 months. Jess had a look for rentals for us in the area but all required a minimum 6 month let. The conversation could have ended there but it didn't. Jess recommended that we look at holiday lets (something that we hadn't previously considered) we have found a local holiday let and this morning Jess called us for an update. I recently looked into renting in and around the Crewe and Nantwich area, I've been past Bridgfords countless times so I thought it can't hurt to get some advice off one of the staff.
I was greeted upon entry with a nice smile. The lady that spoke to me, Jess, was very informative and knowledgable. She guided me through every step of the rental process. Including rental prices in different areas, landlords rights and responsibilities, tenants rights and responsibilities. She even filled me in on things I never even thought about such as different types of rental properties such as an individual flat/apartment and HMO's.
What I especially liked was I didn't feel pressured into choosing or making choice there and then. When Jess was explaining the rental agreements she didn't try to cover anything up to get a quick sale she was honest about everything and I appreciate that most of all.
I would recommend Bridgfords to anyone who is looking to rent.

I have recently moved property which was with another company and the service I have received has been awful and very distressing.
When I began my search I registered with all the local agents, Jess at Bridgfords has been the only person who has responded. She has rang me a couple of times a week to see how my search is going, Jess is the only person I feel who has listened to me about where I was looking and helped me with numerous issues.

Well then don't use bridgfords! Absolutely appauling company from top to bottom. Horrendous experience dealing with the staff here. Nice to see from other reviews we aren't the only ones suffering. But then again these are estate agents so what more can you expect from the parasites of the planet. How they continue to trade is astonishing. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid this agent if you are selling or buying! I have phoned the at least a dozen times at the crewe office, never had an answer, the only way I have got through is by calling the Nantwich office who have connected me. I have enquires about several houses and had only one call back saying that they could not contact the vendor. I emailed from Right Move about this property again a few days ago, still no response, is there anybody there? Perhaps they are understaffed? Who knows its not the fault of the employees im sure but poor management.

its bad experience to me i complain about the shower switch ,aerial,smoke alarm. For how many days nothing happen the shower switch theres smoke already i rang them but no one came .someone came in nextday just ensure the switch really safe even he dont bother to fix it.

Worst lettings agent I have ever used.
So, to elaborate further......I guess alarm bells first started ringing when you arrange to view a house with them and they dont even turn up. Eventually we did get a house with them, paid the holding fee, then Bridgefords Crewe kindly let us know absolutely nothing about what was going to happen next, it took several calls to their support centre (with several ignored callback requests thrown in) to find out just what was going on, and where we were with the whole process.
Then came the day we got the keys (which again, told at the last minute with no idea what was happening...)
When we went to our house for the first time it was like walking in to a house which had a party the night before. The house was dirty (despite verbal promises from Bridgefords it would be cleaned) half the items in the house were broken, and there was a smell of dog wee. What took the mick furthermore was the inventory showed no record of the filthyness of the place, Im assuming whoever inspected the house prior to our arrival took was in there for about 5 seconds and then nipped off to the pub or something, so half-arsed and lazy. When we mentioned the dirt to the landlady she had no idea about the state it was in!
Furthermore Jonathan decides to take the mick even by calling me one afternoon to ask for more money which I was reluctant to do as I knew theyd just take it and then forget we even existed. I was right.
Bridgefords are every tenants worse nightmare - theyre more concerned about shirking any blame on their half rather than helping you out, even though on several occasions they will lie to your face in order to get their precious commission. Its this sort of cowardly attitude I dont like in a rental company. Both ourselves and the landlady have made a formal complaint to the director about the utter shambles of a branch they are, and it goes without saying that Id rather live in a cardboard box than use them as a rental property again.

Highly recommended and if this is the service they provide to a would be tenant I can only assume every other part of their business is as good. Highly recommended.

I used Bridgfords, to help me find a home to rent. The staff were very helpful in finding the right property for me from the information I gave. Once I had found the one for me they guided me through all of the paper work.
I would recommend Bridgfords because of the excellent customer service, the vast range of property types they have to rent. Furthermore they have local staff that no the areas and can give you information on where places are and how far they are from the places you view.
I would definitely use Bridgefords again hopefully to find a house to buy.

I have just relocated from Manchester to Crewe. I looked at many lettings agent in Crewe but Bridgfords were the only ones that seemed interested and called back.
The staff did what they say they would do, and Laura, the manager was very helpful.
The only thing thet didnt do was to help me unpack............LOL
