By far the best experience with an estate agent that we have ever had!! I never usually leave reviews, but we used Brown & Co to sell a plot of land with a derelict property on it, right next to Lincoln Cathedral. The plot was in a prestigious spot and the price reflected that, so could have been a challenge to sell. James Drabble dealt with the majority of the sale from start to finish along with help from a couple of other colleagues. He arrived at the plot within an hour of me requesting the valuation and promptly marketed the property, then very quickly sold it. The communication from him throughout was by far the best experience we have ever had with an estate agent. He follow-up even whilst on holiday and annual leave and responded to everything immediately and he constantly kept us in the loop. I cannot praise him and the team enough and we will definitely use Brown & Co for some other properties that we we will be selling!

We need more Zoe Nauntons in this world.
We had a terrible time moving properties. We lost buyers, had multiple delays and all it seemed anybody wanted was money for not a lot.
Except Zoe. She was simply amazing.
We purchased through Brown & co but sold through another agency. It didn't matter to Zoe. She kept us informed every week. She treated me like a human and understood our drama. Zoe was the only person to care and stick with us being proactive alongside reactive.
I can't thank her enough for everything. If you need to sell, please ask for Zoe Naunton at Brown & co.

Purchased my place through Brown & Co and on viewing the place with the guy from Brown&Co showing us around, he was prompt and didn't make us feel rushed, nor did he on the 3 visits after either actually (even on the one occasion we went way over his time).
Now, as for Zoe- what an asset she is to this company. She's is extremely efficient, polite, professional and friendly.
Her and my solicitor, Angela from NB Law were the most amazing team ever, if only every one in the process was as superb as these two!

We recently used Brown & Co as the agents to sell our house and I'm sad to say that the experience was most disappointing. On too many occasions it felt like they were more interested in our buyers interests than our own.
James Drable in particular was lacking in basic customer relation skills. After initially seeming friendly and helpful when we put our house up for sale he soon lost interest when we were signed up. He was often difficult to contact and his email messages were sometimes blunt and rude.
Brown & Co really screwed us over by not properly vetting our buyers & failing to find out that they were locked into a rental agreement which meant we were unable to complete the sale until over 6 months after the offer was accepted. Basic due diligence on the buyers would have saved us from these costly delays.
Finally, when it came to the move day, we were unable to get the keys to our new house until mid afternoon and we had to endure a string of increasingly unpleasant phone calls from Brown and Co basically harassing us to 'get out of the house you no longer own' despite the fact that our buyers were not moving in that day and had agreed to us taking our time.
There are many estate agents in Lincolnshire and I would highly recommend choosing any of them above Brown and Co.

We tried - and dismissed - several estate agents before contacting Brown&CoJHWalter. Should have saved time and trouble and contacted them first.
Good old fashioned service (rare nowadays), courteous, friendly, efficient and professional.
We dealt with Zoe, Caroline and James - must admit that towards completion date we pestered Zoe somewhat - but she responded brilliantly - a credit to the company.
Shame can't give more than five stars!!

He kept me updated and stayed optimistic throughout what was (through no fault of their own) a very difficult sale. I chose this company to sell my property as I was very impressed with their professionalism and enthusiasm when I bought it from the previous Seller 2 years ago. Needless to say 2 years on, when I came to sell the property, the same qualities still existed and exceeded my expectations. The whole team worked so hard to make this transaction go through smoothly and quickly, ,in particularly James Drabble snd Caroline Oldham. Caroline and James were amazing, giving regular updates, chasing up queries, explaining the next process whilst adding some humour to what was a very stressful time. From the initial call at 9 am following the referral, to the arrangement of the first viewings, I felt that JHWalter have been focused and professional. At all points, I have felt my views were valued, and incorporated into the advice I received about pricing and presentation.
