The property is on the main Bath Road with traffic constantly trundling past at great speed..
This was a no for us. Also the entrance driveway is steep and could be tricky when icy.
The garden is great and has loads of potential.

Bradley was very professional and friendly on the two occasions we have met. He is responsive in email communications with me which I find very helpful. On the first house viewing I attended with him, he did not seem to actively sell the house and its best features to me, I felt he could have done more here. He also did not seem to be very well informed about all of the property details, as when I asked the type of boiler he informed me combi when in fact there was a large water tank upstairs. After my first viewing of a property no one from Chancellor’s followed up with me to get my feedback, which I thought was unusual. Overall whilst Bradley and Chancellors have been nice to deal with, I feel there could be some improvements made to their services.

Currently renting a property managed by Chancellors. Have found the Thatcham branch to be helpful overall. Louise, who dealt with us initially, was very prompt with contacting us and getting paperwork organised. I phoned her with lots of questions and she was always happy to help and responded swiftly to any questions I had. Lauren at this branch has also been really helpful with getting issues resolved quickly and professionally. She is proactive with getting things done.
However, the property management side of things has been very poor at times. I’ve had to constantly email and phone to attempt to get a problem with a leaking bath solved. This was causing damage to a neighbour’s property. I was made to feel like my concerns weren’t a priority and was snapped at on the phone by members of the team when I asked for updates on how things were progressing. From reporting the issue initially, to getting it fixed, the whole process has taken nearly 2 months! My emails were often not responded to for over a week at a time.

I definitely do not recommend it. I strongly advise against !!! An agency that earns money from someone else's misfortune! They cheat, lie, manipulate !!! They take no responsibility for their services. For example: despite confirmation of check out at 9 am, they do not feel responsible and do not appear on the date. And they tell you to wait all day at 4:30 pm. And also announce that there will be no compensation. I strongly do not recommend these scammers. They belong to the circle of scammers !!!

When went for a viewing we couldnt actually see the house as they had locked themselves outside! Then we applied for it anyways though a video viewing, everything was fine and they accepted us after applying, but then they asked for references and gave us only 4 hours notice of when they needed them by! We had to call people and pressure them into a reference because of this. We also were asked to pay first months rent before being 100% sure we'd be able to rent? After referencing was sorted and everything was finally fine and we calmed down, we got an email saying pur tenancy agreement was cancelled?!??! No other info at all. I called and they only picked up after the 3rd call and said they cancelled it because my name was spelled wrong on the agreement, but I dont remember seeing that as I would have remembered that? Even if it is true, I had 0 clue what was going on. I'm still waiting. All references and tasks on our part are done, as well as full first months rent paid. We did our part now we dont have a tenancy agreement and we havent heard anything back. Oh and also, we are supposed to move in less than 24 hours! I hope this review wont affect the move even more but I'm just disappointed. I was so eager to move and have a beautiful home

Tried to view one house through them. I had to chase them - you’d think they would call back and arrange the viewing.
Good if you want to benchmark prices - but most things on their website weren’t actually for sale still - seemingly to bulk up their site. In the end gave up even considering houses through them.

Just having to post a review about how brilliant Giles is being in helping us to buy our new house. He is incredibly good at putting our minds at ease and we so appreciate that. We feel very lucky to have him taking us through this. Whenever we have questions or concerns he is on the phone to us advising/helping in whatever way we can. I have heard horror stories about estate agents, but there is nothing to worry about with these guys! They're fantastic and we would highly recommend them. Thanks Giles!

Maxine from Thatcham is nice and helpful, but the Thameside Management is a total shambles. They never return calls (or those of the tenant), don't work in your interest and appear to be apathetic at best.

I have been very favourably impressed by the service given by Chancellors in Thatcham regarding the sale of my property. My estate agents, Georgina and Giles, kept me informed at all times of what was happening up to the point of sale, subject to contract.
Thereafter, Gareth Walsh kept me updated regularly on the progress of the legal work involved in the sale. He was diligent, courteous and helpful at all times. My less than satisfactory experience of buying only served to highlight what an excellent service Chancellors provided.
