Nathan is honestly one of the best estate agents I’ve spoken to. As a first-time buyer, the process felt confusing, but he took the time to explain everything clearly, which other agents haven’t done.
I asked a lot about the local area and he knew everything straight away – the QE, schools and academies, bus routes, and train stations. He had all the information about the property and area ready and could answer everything without needing to check.
He’s really friendly, easy to talk to, and you can tell he genuinely cares about what he’s doing and is very passionate. If you’re looking for an agent, choose Nathan – you won’t regret it!

I have received outstanding service from both Hassan and Carol. They went above and beyond to ensure to advise and reassure me when the process was taking to long and both chased things up to make sure we reached completion. Hassan went way beyond his role as mortgage advisor to ensure the deal went through. Carol was so kind and reassuring when things looked difficult. I had a really good experience with Nathan at Connells. He was friendly, professional, and clearly knew his stuff. Even though the property itself wasn’t the right fit for me, he made the whole viewing process smooth and comfortable, taking the time to answer questions and explain details without any pressure.
I also spoke with Hassan regarding mortgage advice, and he was extremely helpful. He took the time to walk me through the different options available, explained things clearly, and made what can often feel like a complicated process much easier to understand.
Overall, both Nathan and Hassan were approachable, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the process.

Dreadful estate agent Connells were by far the worst for customer satisfaction.
If you want to be kept up to date then i suggest you avoid this estate agents!
I recently bought a property through them and their speed at dealing and returning calls to me wasnt good. ( they are more interested in people selling than buying obviously-commission!! )
Their initial agent who came out to see me was always late even though their office was less than half a mile away from the property viewing.
If i had to pay for the service they gave me i wouldnt be happy at all!!
No communication over issues that i needed to know regarding the property ( i found out more from the residents living nearby than from Connells ).
Unprofessional handing over of envelope with property keys in with incorrect name on too!!
Enough said but if you want to know more about their awful practices see Panorama on BBC I PLAYER called Undercover Estate Agent filmed in 2025!!

First and foremost I hold Grace in the highest of regards.
This chain was chaos from the very beginning as my buyer had to change solicitors and mortgage providers twice while myself and my onward were ready to go for months. There were moments I wanted to, hypothetically, set fire to everything and just start again but Grace was there constantly reassuring me and constantly on the backs on my buyer and his solicitors.
At times she turned from estate agent to social worker with my incessant phone calls, stressed out and looking for answers. We joked that after all this was done she would never forget about me and this chain would probably go down as an example of the worst case scenario.
Even with absolutely horrendous communication from my buyer and his solicitors Grace always persevered and always came through for me. I can quite easily say Grace is an outstanding estate agent and an absolute grafter.
If I ever buy a house again she will be my first call.

Awful branch! Avoid like the plague!
The staff are rude and good luck getting them to answer the phone or reply to an email!
There was zero communication with them on completion date, I ended up just sitting in the branch and waiting for the keys to the property because they wouldn't answer my calls or reply to emails to let me know when to collect them.
Both me and the seller have made formal complaints regarding this branch as their communication skills are so appalling, they only give you the time or day if you are getting a mortgage through them.

I had a very good experience with Connells, Harborne during the process of purchasing my first home. They are thorough professionals and gave sensible advice throughout. Emily Longville, who was my mortgage advisor, gave me adequate time during our first meeting and answered all my queries regarding the house buying process, which were many considering I was a first time buyer. She subsequently found me a decent mortgage deal, which was very helpful considering the current circumstances.

Top estate agents. Really helpful and informative. There to help either by phone or in person. Samuel Thornywork was extremely professional in his appraisal of the house and his guidance throughout the procedure was invaluable. Lewis who took me to view the new property and Nathan who took me for a second viewing are both friendly and helpful without being pushy a god send in this day and age. If you ring and need information you will probably reach Carol first who is very polite and informative. If she can't answer your question she makes sure somebody gets back to you promptly that can. Tammy the admin lady is on top of everything so you have no need to worry.
All in all a very professional service with a family feel. Highly recommended.

Absolutely appalling customer service , rude looks and DISCUSTING none response from Emily the mortgage advisor . Told me she would call and never did . They never answer their phones . You have to ring them yourself have had rude replies from Emily from the start , carol and sam . The only agent who seemed ok was Enzo . But caused a lot of delay when I asked Sam that communication would be nice I was told by him that well we do deal with other people . If that’s how they communicate and treat us then they can Flip off . We are paying in the end for their services they behave like it’s free! Absolutely vile response from all of them only saw 4 in the office . I’m 100% sure they don’t get back to the vendor and are deceiving both buyer and vendor . Please everyone in the harborne area stay clear of these dodgy agents on harborne high steet !

As a first time buyer, I wasnt tremendously sure what to look for in a house or how to go about buying one. Emily Longville at the Harborne office of Connels spoke with me about what I'm after in a property and she not only found the house I am now buying (by far the best out of the 20 odd I viewed) but she also hooked me up with my solicitors, got me the best mortgage I'd seen on the market, helped find the necessary insurance and is guiding me through every detail of the process. Shes been immensely helpful, answering calls and emails on the day and providing excellent advice and has been a brilliant go-between for myself and the seller.
Based on my experience, I would highly reccomend Connels and Emily Longville's services if you can snag her, shes honest about the costs and downfalls of everything, doesnt lie to guarantee a sale or to gain a client and also has a delightfully positive dispositiona! The price of her services and their reccomenced solicitors is a bit more than you'd pay elsewhere, but you do get what you pay for and the extra cost makes the whole process much easier and let's you rest assured everything is going smoothly. Big thanks to Emily, I'll be sure to use Connels for my future house purchases and sales!

We recently decided to buy a new house. We found the one we wanted but as first time buyers, we had no idea what the steps to take were or how to go about it.
We came here and spoke with Lucie, who was absolutely fantastic in helping us. She kept in constant communication with us and really helped settle our nerves. She explained everything with patience and ease making all of our decisions much easier to make.

Was enquiring about a house I saw for sale on connells website.....called up and spoken to Sasha a sales representative there...she was really patient and helpful and answered all my concerns and made me feel at ease...so stressful deciding to move homes but when u receive the services attention to detail like I did when I called Sasha at connells harbourne it put my mind at rest...excellent service excellent company.....will be using there services soon when I find the right suitable house for my next home....thank you Sasha

The mortgage advisor was extremely rude and told me to 'come back when I've increased my income or got a better job and then maybe banks would consider loaning me more than £95K.' As a young first time buyer, I felt discouraged and belittled.

I have had a great experience with Connells (excluding their solicitors - Premier Property Lawyers) but I will rate them separately. Shiv, the sales rep, has been excellent at working with us to get the house that we wanted. He has always been available to talk to us and even when he has not been in the office, his colleagues and the branch manager have always been as helpful as they possibly could have been. Worst agent ever!
Lied about everything! Don't trust them at all and get everything in writing. The will trick you into purchase by telling you lies and will say the vendor has said it!
I was buying 76 Sennleys Park in Northfield . They lied about valuation of 255k, bank came in and down valued it to 225 and they had no comparables to support the valuation.
Don't trust a single word Carol says!!

Bad service - it took a year for them to assist me in the house purchase and then they offered me a service whereby they would register me with utility companies which they failed to do.
Slow - do not use and if you do avoid Carol at all costs
