All the staff i had contact with were approachable and helpful. Sadly the buyer's solicitor was shocking. As this conveyancer was appointed by their lender which Connells had also arranged for the buyer. I would suggest connels/sellers check who the Solicitors are before agreeing any offers. Mine on paper was a straight forward transition and yet took over 4 months due to some shocking behaviour from these solicitors. Hopefully connells can provide feedback to the lender. As the sale was delayed, and never looked like it would complete, more viewings were conducted. However, I never really got any feedback on these. In the end the sale went through and I'm sure Andy in particular was relieved after all the stress it caused him, me and our decent solicitors.

Outstanding sales, customer service and support.
I've just completed the sale of my property, where Connells acted as the Estate Agent. I can wholeheartedly and sincerely say they have been fantastic in all areas.
Each member of the team did an outstanding job.
Jordan first came to pitch the sale, he was polite, knowledgeable and succinct. There was no time wasting, but also Jordan showed care and respect for us as sellers, affirming his commitment to achieve the best price possible. Next Sunny and Zoe acted as the representatives on the sale, showing many clients through the door. Not only did Zoe perform an outstanding job at this point, but she went above and beyond her duties, as we had to vacate the property five months before the sale completed. Zoe helped us by checking on the property, assisting with return of internet router etc, dropping legal papers off to my solicitor and many more things. Once we had a few clients bidding, Andy took the lead. He was incredibly influential in helping us achieve the best possible sale price.
You hopefully can see why Connells Stevenage deserve the 5* rating and more.
If you are looking to sell your property and are in a bind to choose the best Estate Agent, then I can only but recommend Connells. From my experience they literally could not do anything more to help. They have been superb throughout, and I most genuinely mean that.

AVOID THIS ESTATE AGENCY IF YOU CAN!!!
I had a very disappointing experience with Connells Stevenage. After agreeing on a price for a house and being assured it would be taken off the market, I proceeded with my mortgage broker and solicitor. However, the agency continued to hold viewings, and a week later, I was informed that someone else had made a higher offer. This lack of professionalism and disregard for our agreement was incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience."

Worst first time buyer experience!
LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM, TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION AND ZERO TRANSPARENCY!
We were shopping around for mortgage brokers and was suggested an advisor in- house called Janine. Had to follow up with some documents however hadn’t heard anything back from her. We called almost every day and were told she was in a meeting or in the phone every time. Hoping for a call back and never came. My husband called again to follow up in which she was extremely rude and unprofessional stating to my husband that “you are not a priority” and that she is very busy was her response.
We decided to go with another mortgage advisor and still yet to hear back from janine.
We were still viewing properties with an agent called Maria who was lovely and very supportive and informative. We decided to put an offer in for a property we loved. Waiting to hear back if it was accepted we didn’t hear anything back, we called a number of times and no one was getting back to us to find out that our offer was rejected however again no communication whatsoever. We were very transparent that we have two children and need to move asap but even that was enough to have our best interest at heart.
They lack professionalism, communication is extremely poor and have no regard for your needs. I was extremely disappointed.

Terrible. Put in an offer for a rental property, followed up with Leah who twice said she will contact to update once hearing back from the landlord. 2 weeks go by, nothing. Left a message with the office and was told she'd contact. I followed up by email to Leah and Patricia (who showed us the property and is a manager) asking for an update or any issues, with no response.
Then see the property was updated on rightmove with new pics and a reduced price. Til this day, I was never contacted by either Leah or Patricia. Will assume the offer was rejected then ????.

After a few days in the property there was cameras watching us, we informed connels and they did nothing about this. Leans and Patricia (our agents) did not go and view the property prior to our move in. They rushed our move in until 1 hour before closing two days after our supposed move in date. They claimed they had no keys to conduct an inspection, however they had the keys to give it to us on the day? Furthermore, When we first viewed the property, it was labelled as furnished. We went to the viewing and she said "everything comes with the property". The landlord was present and also stated that. When we moved in, we found no furniture present, not even a mattress. The inventory showed all furniture, including mattress and bed, etc. therefore we couldn't sleep in the property for two weeks until a mattress was brought in which we had to say we wanted to terminate tenancy. During the two weeks, our phones were being ended on and emails were not being replied to. We had to go in person for them to contact the landlord for a mattress, as we didn't believe they were. When we went there, they contracted the landlord and he answered. Although they were saying they couldn't get through to him. We asked for compensation off rent, seeing as we couldn't stay in the property for two weeks as we were lied to about furnishings. The manager- Patricia wrote to us that she would sort out compensation. We kept emailing and calling, however our calls were being picked up by other staff. The staff would claim she wasn't in. However when I called with a withheld number, she answered. They would lie about when they would call us and what they were doing in regards to our case, when we asked for proof, they couldn't provide. At this point, we had a mattress however still no sofa. Then after three weeks of living in the periphery, the landlord said he wouldn't provide a sofa. Although it was in inventory and listing and contract. I asked Patricia and Leah what they would do about this, they said nothing. Although the landlord was not sticking to contractual obligations. We were technically paying £1250 for an unfurnished studio. No compensation for the fact there was no furniture and our missed time in the property.

Doing nothing, taking commission. Branch manager is very rude and no courtesy to communicate with client. He will promise everything in the beginning to get the listing, once he get the deal then he disappears from the loop.

Brilliant service from beginning to end and I'm sure it will continue into our tenancy. Kaci is brilliant, professional and answered all our questions. Awful experience with them. Would NOT recommend. We put an offer for a house in October 2021 which was accepted. Come March 2022 we had heard nothing from estate agents or vendo. Turned out the vendors hadn’t found anywhere. In the end we were advised to step away from the sale as it had been over 6 months and they hadn’t even put an offer in for a place . Estate agent was rude when we rightly asked for updates with sarcastic responses. It was extremely upsetting as we had rushed to get everything ready before interest rates went up and missed out on other houses we liked….another maybe illegal point was the estate agent said vendors will be more likely to accept our offer if we use a Connells mortgage broker which turned out to be a lie and very unfair to say to someone…but of course all they care about is money. Very disappointed and very grateful now in hindsight the sale fell through. Wouldn’t deal with them if you paid me.

Want to say a massive thank you to Connell’s - in particular Ellen as she’s been brilliant throughout our purchase. She worked with us at the beginning, she took time to understand what we were looking for and set up multiple viewings with different options. Then once we had purchased the property she kept us updated the whole time. The purchase took a while because of some delays with the onward purchase, but Ellen was so helpful, kept chasing the solicitors on behalf of us and our sellers and she always responded quickly and nothing was ever an issue. Ellen’s calming and helpful manner really did help make a stressful situation so much better for us. Would very much recommend their service and would certainly go back to Connell’s for any future move (although we don’t plan on that for a while as we’re very happy with our new home!).

If you are travelling to STEVENAGE and if you need a house quickly, reach out to Connells. In just 6 days, my rental agreement was signed and my family moved into a new property.
The best part of the deal is that, there are no hidden charges, all are discussed upfront. Agents were helping me round the clock and we're reachable on Saturday and Sunday. I visited this property on a holiday. I collected the key on a Saturday.
Its the best experience I can expect and my family is greatfull to Tricia and Josh from Connells who made this a reality for us.

House SSTC in a short time which was great. However only recieved feedback from one viewing.
They asked us to move out as someone else in the chain wanted to move quick.
Free EPC was part of the deal but I had to fight to get this done.
My emails were not responded to for days nor were emails from the upper chains agent
Chain broke and we were not made aware.
Were told to leave all keys in the property as they had a key from the viewings to give to the new owner.
On completion recieved a call to ask for keys as they had lost the key to give to the new owner
Wouldn't use Connells again

We sold our house successfully with the help of Oz from Connells Estate Agent. He was very helpful, thoughful and plain right from the beginning. Oz not only helped with arranging the viewings to accommodate our schedules, but made all the due care to ensure we feel safe and follow through to get the best price for our house. Oz also assisted us with finding a bigger house which we will be moving to in October. There is no word good enough to describe the quality and personalised services and assistance I got from OZ and his colleagues other than "Excellence". Pure crooks. Demanded hidden payments and upon refusing, denied me from getting a property with them.
The person I dealt with was Oz. Once I refused hidden payments started treating me and my family like 3rd class citizen.
Definitely do not recommend this company and avoid at all costs!!!

I drove all the way from London and they were very unprofessional, rude and didn’t seem to want to help me at all. I don’t usually write reviews for places, however, this was the exception as I felt their professionalism and service was very below sub-par. I drove nearly an hour to come here and after a few minutes was made to feel extremely disappointed. I would avoid this place.

Avoid them. Probably the worst agent in Stevenage. Untrustworthy, unprofessional and sneaky. Some employee try to lie, hide information, and act on their interests solely. Overall, the quality of service is substantially lower than any other agents.

Dont recommend them at all, dont waste your time with these lot! Local barbers got better ethics than these people, specially OZ! Bunch of unprofessional people. Buying property is hectic enough, but when agents like OZ gets involved, everything 100times harder. Where is your duty of care! Online brokers are more responsive and responsible than these people.

I had Patricia and Callum, from the Stevaneg branch, letting my property. The team was very responsive and took care of everythign for me. I couldn't recommend Patricia enough, she was super proactive and found me the perfect tenant, even before my property was advertised. I found the fees a little too much, but I guess they're standard. So far, I'm very satisfied with the services provided.

Once at Connels Estate Agents, they make you wait at the door and then pass you a business card to call in, once I called in a gent answered and said sorry Tricia is busy with customers, I questioned the manager and said how come as I can see her free, with no customers and not on the phone, they wanted my journey, lied about being busy and never replied to my emails .

Connells Lettings agents are very professional and accommodating. I got the property at first viewing with them. They are also responsive whenever I query something. Should there be any stuff for repair, they fix without delay. I highly recommend Connells to each and everyone. My friend’s agent is also Connells. If you have to choose agents anywhere else, then better yet go to Connells.

A never ending list of great excuses for poor service and outdated sales pitches. We were very lucky to complete our move whilst selling with Connells, poor communication from Branch managers down, even when caught out on a lie it was covered with another. The saving grace were our solicitors and the estate agency's we purchased from who worked tirelessly chasing up and doing connells work for them. I could not recommend Alexander Lewis Estate Agents and Key Conveyancing enough and if we ever to sell again we will be going with them. Our experience with Connells highlights how company's like Purple Bricks exist as we are in no doubt that the service provided by Connells was little better and far more frustrating then handling the sale ourselves. Listening to sale pitches straight out of the 90's with cliche rich patter enough to make our dog want to vomit left us in little hope of a buyer let alone a decent offer, in the end we settled for lower offer from a landlord just to keep our dream of moving on track and to end the nightmare which was our contract with Connells Stevenage. So In conclusion if you are considering using Connells I would either stump up the slightly higher amount for decent estate agents like Alexander Lewis (my bad!!) Or save yourself a grand and all the poor service and Do it Yourself with Purple Bricks as they are no worse and alot cheaper.

Recently divorced and wanting to start a new life in a new home was extremely exciting but, daunting. After a very pleasant, reassuring phone conversation with Andy McClelland (branch manager) and a reasonable valuation/selling price of my property was agreed. Within 48 hours I had viewings booked and Ellen Morley (sales negotiator) was AMAZING. She was extremely knowledgeable, professional , polite, punctual and always smartly dressed. She never failed to give me feedback, continued to keep in touch and reassured me constantly in what can only be described as the most "Craziest and difficult " year ever. The worse company Ive ever had to deal with. Very poor customer service, lack of response to either emails and phone calls, extremely unprofessional and extremely poor communication and the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Constantly getting arrear emails when we are not in arrears. Keep sending emails for them to amend this, get no response back. Have also phoned to get this sorted, and it's still not been sorted four months down the line. They take their time in getting repairs sorted out. Avoid at all costs as the arrear emails are still coming and am sick to death of this not being sorted. Do not go to this company if you want to keep your sanity.

Would not recommend this Estate Agents for anything, do not even bother to try and buy, rent or sell through these, 100% they will lie and deceive you.
Found them to be very unprofessional, underhand and extremely rude.
Sellers/buyers/renters need to be aware of how deceiving they are.

Had one viewing, the agent was quite unprofessional. Apparently they just handled the viewing and had no actual info on the flat and what the landlord was looking for. Tried to book more viewings but each time I called they would say they'd get back to me. Spoiler: they never did. Wasted way too much time trying to let through this agent. TL;DR stay away, don't waste your time like I did.

It is hard to describe how terrible Connells were as a letting agent.
Months of delays getting repairs carried out, related to heating so should have been treated as urgent.
Fault reports and emails were ignored, constantly chasing for things to be done, staff denied knowing anything about the problems, delays ordering parts, parts sent to the wrong office etc etc.
They really did not seem to care at all. The plumber who came to our property numerous times was hopeless, eventually an engineer was called to service the boiler which didn't need doing, finally an engineer from the boiler company was called, fixed the fault but said the boiler hadn’t been installed properly so they wouldn’t continue to work on it.
After 8 months of a cold house, sleepless nights, stress and hassle we decided to move out, they offered compensation but had to chase them for that too, ignored and conveniently denied receiving emails again.
Now in a really nice place with a great company who understand the concept of customer service, something Connells really don’t have a clue about.
I would never recommend them to anyone.

Shame that you cant actually give 0 stars. I was a prospective Tenant of this Estate Agents. Very quick to take your deposit but no intention to give it back. Watch out people, do not rush to pay them any Deposits. You will not get it back even if the landlord will change the terms previously agreed. In our case, landlord advertised the house with storage in the garden via Right move. When we put in an offer and the agent took our holding deposit, he then apparently changed his mind and said that the shed is not included in the let . I think the agent knew about it and mislead us on purpose, to create this situation. I am still waiting for my refund. And my solicitor will be in touch with them. There is other lettings agents avoid for your own good.
