I read several of the reviews already posted before I wrote this and feel that I'm just repeating what everyone else has said! Putterill's sold my late Mum's retirement flat (notoriously difficulty!) for us and I cannot recommend them enough.<br><br>Oliver started the process enthusiastically and gave us confidence that they would sell the property to the right person at the right price. Nigel was exceptional - professional, proactive, knowledgeable - and kept the whole process moving to a happy conclusion for all last Friday.<br><br>I believe that many newer estate agents may be cheaper than Putterill's but you get what you pay for! There is no upfront fee which you may lose if the sale falls through for any reason - you pay on completion of a successful sale. I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them wholeheartedly!

Our experience has been less than satisfactory. We felt pressured to accept a low offer and once our property was sold, it felt very much like the agent was working for our buyer and not us. Our sale and purchase has not been easy and whilst we appreciated the regular communication it often felt rude and accusatory. There was also unauthorised requests to both us and our purchasing agent to drop prices. It all felt very odd and I would not recommend Putterills.

We originally signed up with a different local estate agent but having very few viewings and receiving little communication, we decided to switch to Putterills. I wish we had gone with them first as they were much better! Pretty awful experience with the High street branch.<br>The manager can only be described as utterly socially inept.<br>The rest of the staff don't bite quite as hard.<br>In my experience they do not act in their vendors best interests or in the interests of their purchasers...sadly they seem to act solely in their own best interests...something I hoped was banished from the profession years ago.<br>Obviously this branch hasn't moved with the times.

My experience of Putterills is as a buyer. I have been extremely impressed with them from start to finish. I exchanged contracts today and hope to complete early next week. Nigel in particular has been excellent. At times I have been in despair because my solicitor hasn't always been great at keeping me up to date with what is happening (I am appreciative that as the stamp duty holiday ends they are very busy) but nevertheless your anxiety is high and when everything goes quiet, you are left in the dark. Nigel has been brilliant at staying in touch with me and letting me know as soon as something has moved on. He has been a massive help in lowering my stress levels slightly. Realistically, I don't want to be moving again for a long time but when I do, I would definitely consider Putterills. Thank you so much! Sarah and Tony

Everyone we have spoken to within the team has so much experience and this has helped with any queries and questions along the way. We were very pleased with the service Putterills provided! Our house did take a while to sell, and may have initially been valued at more than the market was willing to pay, but after reducing this the house gained lots of viewings during which Putterills staff were very professional. I had every faith leaving them in the property that it would be treated with respect and that they would sell it to the best of their ability. The after sales process was where I think Putterills came in to their own. Nigel was fantastic at keeping our chain together and moving, updating us weekly if not more frequently about what was happening, going above and beyond in many cases to find out information some solicitors should have been. We would thoroughly recommend choosing Putterills when selling and buying a property. We ended up doing both and can't fault their service.

I had excellent service from the Knebworth Branch. Ricky and his team are outstanding, from Lucy's compassion, to Carly's limitless enthusiasm, to Abi's friendly efficiency. It took over 40 viewings to sell our house so it wasn't an easy sale but the team were always on hand for a calming word or some friendly advice on how we could improve our chances. A more calming and supportive group of professionals you could not wish for. From the first meeting of a Putterills representative (Neena) at our first viewing to the on the ball Nigel it has been a pleasure to share our journey of relocation and new home with them. Unfortunately since posting my initial positive review on completion day I discovered they had sent an invoice for the incorrect amount to our solicitors. Despite sending us the correct invoice.<br>Document quality control lacking here.<br>I have yet to hear from them with an apology or confirmation of when they will refund the difference !<br>Very disappointing.

Putterills and, in particular, Nigel Eveleigh were outstanding as Estate Agents. Throughout the process of my sale they were professional, and I never once had to chase them for further information. Nigel’s thorough attitude and dogged tenacity were completely responsible for ensuring the sale of my property went through. He never sounded like a salesman, he simply took seriously his Company’s desire to be the best at their job. Additionally, in the early stages, when viewing properties, Raymond was honest and straightforward and I never felt I was being given ‘flannel’. I have no hesitation in recommending Putterills, they were simply head and shoulders above the rest in every respect.

Simply put, choose Putterills!<br>When I purchased my house a few years ago we did so via Putterills Stevenage. The experience was seamless, informed and trouble free. Therefore, when we came to sell the property we had no doubts in choosing them again.<br>Our property was in a chain of 6 houses, which gave us tremendous insight into the dynamics of house sales at its most complex level! We got to see first-hand the complexity of house buying and selling and it has brought us a new found admiration to the true talent and expertise Putterills have that makes this process a success.<br>Our experience gave us sight of the dynamics of 6 different buyers, sellers, agents, solicitors, lenders and searches in one chain; and it certainly highlighted those that stood out to those that don’t. It was very clear we had chosen the best!<br>To add further complication, not only did our chain have 6 houses, but we also had tight timescales. Therefore, we had to ensure that within 3mths all 6 properties were aligned to complete in time for school admission deadlines.<br>Without doubt, the team at Putterills Stevenage were fundamental in us achieving this. Every member of the team played their part.<br>Duncan Price, Branch Manager & Senior Valuer – Duncan was the first member of the team we met. He evaluated our house. From the offset he was personable and really listened to us with regards to speed of sale, best sale price and method of sale. Our house sales pack was professional, informative and gave good quality pictures to ensure our property was attractive to prospective buyers.<br>Neena Odedra, Senior Sales & Negotiator and Elizabeth Tyrrell, Senior Sales & Valuer – These two (always friendly) team members were a pleasure. From organising viewings on our property to arranging viewings for us with other properties on their books. Bookings at our property were well managed. Appointments were agreed with us and we were well informed of who was viewing, when they were viewing and supporting information. This was also followed up with text reminders which was very useful.<br>Nigel Eveleigh, Senior Sales Manager – Nigel. What can I say; he is amazing! Nigel is very factual and as the negotiations between various vendors, solicitors and agents unfolded I grew to admire him and appreciated that this part of the sale is where the real magic happens. It is a painstaking, relentless task to manage so many stakeholders. Keeping them informed, progressing multiple threads of the chain so that all parties are on time with the same completion goal. This is Nigel’s extraordinary skill and it is what got us through a very complicated long chain and allowed us to meet our deadline. In short, trust him, you will be in meticulous safe hands. He knows his stuff and has mastered the art of the delicate continuous engagement needed between agent, solicitors and stakeholders.<br>This is a great team, with exceptional staff within every aspect of the process. The only sadness we felt was when we had to say goodbye to the team when the completion occurred. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with them.

We were recommended Putterils by family members who had a great experience with them, so our expectations were high I suppose. They got the job done, reluctantly, but at times were incredibly rude!<br><br>As first time buyers we were new to this and requested to view the house a few times, as we wanted reassurance that we had made the right choice. During the completion process, the surveyor identified a couple of issues which we requested to be fixed during negotiatians with the seller. I felt this was reasonable and upon seeking advice, was re-assured it was a normal request.<br><br>Initially Duncan handled our case, and was very polite, very helpful and a pleasure to work with. Later in the process another member of the team handled our sale. I was absolutely shocked at the way he treated us and the way he wrote to my fiancée and I. I felt he was incredibly unhelpful, and at times very rude during the exchange of emails.<br><br>Even our solicitor commented that his behaviour was unacceptable. He made us feel incredibly uncomfortable during a process which should have been highly enjoyable and memorable for us as first time buyers. Whilst we expected hurdles during the process, we didn't expect to be treated in such a rude and discourteous manner by our own estate agents!<br><br>During viewings they demonstrated complete disinterest and at times irritation at our request to check progress on the works that we had negotiated. This changed my view of Putterills as our poor experience now extended over more than one individual.<br><br>In all, they got the job done. However my fiancée and I were made to feel disrespected and insignificant during the sales process. Whilst I mentioned it above already, the way our allocated sales member wrote to my fiancée and I was completely unacceptable, rude and disrespectful.<br><br>I would not recommend Putterils in Stevenage based on the way that we were treated. This is a shame as Duncan put in very good ground work at the start, which unfortunately was tarnished by colleagues later on in the process.
