Credential has been the lettings agency that let and subsequently arranged the full management of my house in Tooting , London .
The helpful and friendly staff at Credential let and managed this property for myself and my family for over 13 years . During this time the management of the property was handled professionally and I had no need to worry about the house . The tenants over this time also remained happy and so I guess this speaks for itself . I have been a bulk landlord for some 44 years and I would say that Credential has provided the best service of the management agents who I have dealt with over this time . I would recommend them to any other landlords requiring a lettings and full-management service .

He was incredibly efficient, consistently keeping things moving and informing me of where things were at in the process. Avoid Credential Estate Agents Ltd – Unfair Deposit Deductions
I had a very disappointing experience with Credential Estate Agents Ltd and would strongly advise others to steer clear. Upon moving out of the property, they retained a portion of my deposit citing so-called "cleaning issues" — including absolutely ridiculous claims such as water marks on the sink. Yes, you read that correctly — water marks were used as a reason to justify withholding money.
This kind of behavior is exactly why so many people have trust issues with letting agents.
I would never recommend anyone use Credential Estate Agents Ltd. If you're a renter looking for fairness, professionalism, and transparency — look elsewhere. This is not the agency you want to deal with.

We had a really positive experience with both Brandon & Victoria who dealt with arranging a flat for us to rent. We found them both super helpful, friendly and always contactable which is rare these days. Even when we had an issue with some paperwork they worked with us to ensure that we did not lose the flat we wanted to rent, we couldn’t recommend their service highly enough and would definitely use them again.

I have reviewed when I first moved in and moving out was unfortunately no better. Throughout living in our flat we had many issues with the access, human faeces, rats, drug users, rubbish including animal waste which we asked for help with and we're either ignored or nothing was done. Everything that was broken when we moved in that we reported was never fixed. We had no fire safety until the last 2 months of our 2 year rent. Communication throughout was poor with many emails being ignored. I would never go through Credentials again. We then ended our contract and left and left the place as we found it and yet money was taken off due to some dust under a bed (which can't be removed) and wear and tear on the shower (which could not be changed with cleaning!). Such a stressful and disappointing agency to work with.

I rented an apartment in the credential, they did everything they could to deduct all the money from us when we left, we paid professionals to clean the apartment, I almost died with the bathroom glass falling on me, they even deducted it saying it was my fault for not having been warned before and on the day the bathroom glass fell I was having a shower and they were warned, they even deducted the mark on the wardrobe rug from my deposit, beware of them, Ollie is grossly rude, they deducted a further £100 per a light bulb that wasn't changed and they even deducted the rubbish we left in the stored bin. Don't waste your time, I don't recommend them.

Credential Estate Agents were incredibly professional and efficient. All my interactions with the staff were courteous and polite.
I was particularly impressed with their ability to genuinely hear what my requirements were and deliver accordingly. They made sure I didn't feel like a cog in a large machine that is so often the case with the big chain agents.

Do not waste your time letting with Credentials. They are rude, unprofessional and have a tendency to ignore e-mails when there is anything important that they need to address/fix within the property - despite it being a danger to the tenants' health. The service my housemates and I received was appalling, Ollie was consistently rude and dismissive. To speak of just one issue (among many I assure you), I lived with a serious mould issue in my room for over two months - with no helpful action on Credentials or Ollie's part.
I have rented with a number of estate agents throughout the past years; yet I can say without a doubt that Credentials has been the worst.

do yourself a favour and look else where, ollie has been incredible rude and has been withholding information we are legally entitled to
they will charge you if you report a maintenance issue if an appointment is booked and no fault is found or improper use on an appliance is found and you will be liable for the call out and repair.
it’s just a bit ridiculous really, the property we were interested in was advertised as being furnished yet it didn’t come with a single piece of furniture and we had to write into the contract to have beds with mattress in our rooms
then come time to move in which was super rushed btw, we realise they haven’t given us headboards and they string us along until they declare that it wasn’t explicitly stated in our contract therefore we won’t be getting headboards because the landlord refuses to supply them
yet when we request a landlords name and address to verify this information ollie took it upon himself to deny us that right
if you’re reading this ollie, know that i would like to see proof that our flat has smoke detectors because we will sue you if one cannot be found

I can’t recommend Credential enough. We have had a seamless and pain free experience from start to finish. All staff are a breath of fresh air in contrast to the bigger estate agencies which see you merely as part of reaching targets and like to twist the truth to achieve this. All questions were answered immediately and the welcome box of gifts when we got our keys was a lovely touch. Thank you so much all- i wish there were more customer- focused businesses run like yours!

My partner and I have recently moved into a credential managed property. Whilst viewing multiple houses in the area we found this one to be in the best condition and offering great value for money.
Victoria was fantastic and one quick viewing resulted in us putting in a successful offer. The process from offer to keys was quick and easy with plenty of information along the way. The use of online signature for contract and inventory meant my partner and I could review and sign at times that suited us and with no rush or pressure.
So far the process has been great and we hope the services continues this until the day comes that we decide to move on

My daughter and her friends have just finished letting with Credential in Tooting and the way they have been treated has been appalling. They have been exemplary professional tenants and the bullying and dismissive nature of their property manager Ollie upset the girls. Given the immaculate condition they left the property in and the mice the girls had to endure throughout the tenancy I was appalled by the retention of some of their deposit and Ollie's response to their complaint. Shocking!

Someone just called me in response to an enquiry I made over the weekend. They laughed at the fact they couldn't pronounce my name properly which was incredibly insulting. I then told them my circumstances and rather than attempting to find something more suitable or even explain she wouldn't be able to help, she basically just said 'sorry no, bye'. Not impressed!

I received a shockingly rude and poor service when I left my property a few months ago - I had agreed with them a leave date months in advance which they then said couldn't be completed in a couple of weeks leading up to my exit date, and forced me to pay another month's rent as a result of their error, leaving me out of pocket as had to pay two rent payments in one month. They do have amazing properties and helpful landlords on their books, but in my opinion could have been much, much more helpful and considerate to me, who at this time had been a long serving tenant and customer of Credential. Really poor way to treat a customer

Do not go with credential - appalling customer service. They charged us on leaving to reclean a bathroom that had already been professionally cleaned and held us responsible for things out of our control. (After we had handed our keys back, a pair of socks blew into our garden from the neighbours line, and we were charged for their removal.)
They use every tiny excuse to pull money out of you, and there is no cooperation. I am very disappointed with such a lack of care, and complete lack of kindness. You will regret your decision if you go with them.

Was polite enough to call and say i was running 5 min late but once rescheduled nobody showed up or showed the same courtesy. I thought it would be in their best interest to get a customer ( from the reviews i read i guess i was saved from the process of dealing with such an unprofessional agency.

My boyfriend and I have been letting through Credential for the last 18-months and it has been an absolute pleasure. Our letting agent, Ollie, has been excellent from the get-go. He explained everything fully before we moved in and continued his professionalism throughout the whole let. Any problem or issue we had with the flat was dealt with quickly and efficiently. It felt like he worked for us as well as the landlord, which is exactly what you need in a letting agency! I would definitely let through Credential again!
