We sold our property through Marsh & Parsons after trying two other agents first, and the difference with Matilda was noticeable straightaway. She was quieter than the others but clearly confident in her abilities — something that became obvious very quickly.
I’d seen her name mentioned repeatedly in reviews before we signed on and even said to my wife, “I hope we get her — she sounds good.” That turned out to be completely right. From the start, she was calm, professional, and very organised; she simply got on with the job and kept everything moving.

I am by far one of the fussiest people when it comes to spec, and after going back and forth over WhatsApp with what I’m after, she had 7 viewings lined up the next day to which NONE of them disappointed and met every single criteria. She never showed me properties out of my budget and always stayed in contact when negotiating with landlords. Landlord review: A mixed bag experience after a 5* letting the first time round in Feb/March 2021. Oct-Dec 2022 was our second time letting our 2-bed flat through the M&P office in Tooting.
The Tooting/South London lettings team secured a great rental offer and excellent tenants. However once the initial ‘agreement’ was in place - things became bumpy. From working with an offsite negotiator (from a different South London office), assumptions on our AST agreement, and gaps in communications between myself and the old & new tenants, and the management office as we neared the handover date meant this second lettings process wasn’t as smooth.
The process was remedied after flagging our concerns to the area lettings director and overall branch manager. However, I hope M&P Tooting Lettings teams, management office and negotiators will return to the same level of organised and professional service as they had in 2016-2021.

I went to view a property 227 cowick road yesterday , which we had to leave our work to do. It was a complete waste of time the property was advertised for £1850 , we made an offer for the full amount and had to fill 2 forms out which asked so many personal details also including a bio… which I had to lie about how the condition of the flat was really nice which it was not , it was an old property with a really dirty garden. After all this the next day we received a call back , informing us if we offer £2000 and then maybe we are lucky to get the flat. This seemed really unprofessional and felt like a scam. We should of been told from the beginning that it’s a bidding war and not the price advertised. Now they beg me to view other properties and would be the same situation. So I want everyone to know that it’s a complete waste of time here.

A sales fellow phoned me back to discuss the home minutes ago with a poor attitude and very poorly informed. I asked him to tell me about the home and he couldn’t tell me who built it or when it was built, despite being listed as a new home. He then told me it wasn’t a new home.
A manager got in touch and was equally poorly informed and rude. If you’re looking for a new home, I couldn’t recommend this branch to help at all.

We recently completed a purchase for a flat that Marsh and Parsons Tooting were the agents for - we found their approach to the transaction to be incredibly counterproductive. The undue pressure put onto us (and our solicitor) by the agent, chasing us for activity when we were waiting on things from the other side and providing inaccurate/contradictory information caused issues with the transaction, making the whole process unnecessarily stressful.

I bought a flat that M+P were the agents for - and found their approach made the whole process unnecessarily stressful. I've bought and sold previously (elsewhere, with different agents) but never experienced this degree of pressure, shouting down the phone, threats etc. I had the same experience of the branch manager as the review below, and lodged a formal complaint with the head office.
I've edited this post, because underneath my review the 'business owner' branch manager claimed not to know who I was. Hilarious. A total lier to top it all.

Had a great experience as a first-time buyer with Marsh&Parsons overall and with Frederick (Freddie) especially. He was incidentally the first Estate Agent I interacted with and while it took me about 3-4 months to find the perfect home he continued to stay in contact and kept on asking the right questions so that I could drill-down to my priorities. It was a great experience through such a stressful process at times and I always felt as if Freddie was acting as a trusted adviser and not just as a sales person. Thanks Freddie!

Unfortunately there is no option to select 0 out of 5 stars for this review, so to reflect the appallingly distasteful experience i have had to select 1 out of 5 stars.
In effort to avoid posting an entire essay, I shall cut the long story short: Prospective tenant, put in an offer on a property which was subsequently accepted and went to contracts and referencing. Landlord pulled out of the deal during referencing (tenancy at this point was signed). Marsh and Parsons took the decision to retain 270.00 as an ‘administrative fee’ despite all documents I signed being peppered with “I also understand that should I withdraw from an accepted offer the administration fee of £225 plus VAT is non-refundable” – I would like to highlight again, that the Landlord pulled out of the offer.
It is a massive shame that an Estate agency with such a large presence in London would conduct business in such an unethical manner, essentially trying to pull a fast one and keep money that they are not legally obliged to keep.
Safe to say I will never deal with M&P again and would not recommend them to anyone.
Unfortunately it looks like I will have to progress with legal proceedings.

I made the mistake of trying both an online agent and another local agent to sell my property, neither came anywhere near Marsh & Parsons in Tooting who did exactly what they said they would. Frequent viewings were generated from across their local branches, I received weekly updates, John-Paul and his team were efficient, professional, supportive and helpful from the start right through to completion. I cannot rate them highly enough and only wish I had gone with them in the first place.

A very positive experience with M&P Tooting, although it was their Brixton branch that found the buyer, supporting their claim at the outset that the property would be promoted from branches beyond Tooting. To be honest I had thought that was just sales talk, but the end result proved me wrong. Viewing levels were healthy, and feedback was excellent. So many agents are terrible about keeping client;'s informed, so this was a big factor for me. An individual mention for David at the Brixton branch for his professionalism throughout, and his skill in persuading buyers searching outside the area to come and view the property. It's that sort of knowledge and skill that differentiates good traditional agents from the plethora of cheap online only agents that are available.

I decided to sell my house in a somewhat ambiguous market time (post brexit and including the summer months). From the offset the team at Marsh and Pearsons were professional, attentive and well informed (without being overly pushy). John Paul and the residential sales team never wavered in their concerted efforts to introduce an impressive number of potential buyers to my property and kept me updated regularly. Once I had accepted an offer, Natasha and John Paul totally rocked the communications with both sets of solicitors and pushed politely but firmly for things to move as quickly as was possible towards a completion date. Initially we had the house on with multiple agents but after some time we realised that actually Marsh & Parsons were the only agency who were diligent and displayed complete professionalism, diligence and were ethical throughout so we gave notice on all the other agencies and continued solely with Marsh & Parsons. Recently sold our house in Tooting with Marsh and Parsons. They knuckled down, put the hours in, brought in 25 viewings in 3 weeks, and agreed a sale at a great price. The market was pretty tough at the time, friends of ours placed their house on the market 3 times and had no success. Once the sale was agreed we had problems in the upper chain which they helped to resolve. Part of the reason for writing this review is the stark contrast between the estate agents we were buying from, compared to how professional everyone at Marsh and Parsons is. Due to problems with the upper chain, it might have been more appropriate to let the sale of our house fall through. The contract would have expired with Marsh & Parsons and they would have lost the sale. Estate agents don't have the best image so we were worried Marsh and Parsons would force us down the sale route, but they didn't, they helped us where they could and made a bad situation feel much less pressured. If the sale had fallen through I'm confident in saying that we would have renewed the contract with them anyway.

I had the pleasure of dealing with the Marsh & Parsons, Tooting branch as a buyer and I can only say they have been the best estate agents I have ever, dealt with . They are knowledgeable about the Tooting property market, highly competent hard working,, trustworthy and above all thoroughly nice people. If you are thinking of selling in Tooting I couldn’t think of a safer pair of hands to handle your property.
I personally dealt with Jean-Paul Burrough the branch manager and David Stafford,one of the senior negotiators now at M&P’s Brixton branch. Both David and Jean-Paul were very friendly and courteous, I’m blind and they were happy to accommodate my requirements in helping me find the right property, they understood very quickly exactly what I was looking for and I knew when they contacted me there would always, be a property of interest, unlike many of their local competitors M&P don’t try and fob you off with any old property. I made an offer on one of M&P’s properties and that is when they came into their own, in contrast to all the other estate agents in the chain, including my own selling my property, they were in continual contact keeping me up-to-date on developments and thanks to their initiatives kept the chain together when the other agents had given up quickly. David's perseverance with the chain was endless and his work throughout the whole process, was in my mind, beyond the call of duty. When David was on holiday, Jean-Paul seamlessly took over and the liens of communication remained open. In addition their in depth knowledge and experience of the property market was evident as they provided sound advice at every stage of the process I have no hesitation recommending Marsh & Parsons as the best estate agents in Tooting., whether you are selling or buying you should make them your first call..

This is a review that had to be written and hopefully will help others receive the most outstanding and excellent service, i have ever gotten as a client, customer in any field/industry. My girlfriend and I had just moved to London from Australia, and weren't to familiar with many areas of London or the true value of locations and properties. We found some properties of interest through Marsh and Parsons and were extremely lucky and fortunate enough to be in the care of Piers Mallitte. His level of professionalism, communication and personal efforts to help us find a place was amazing. He went above and beyond in his endevour and always had our best interests at heart. He took the time to drive us round London, in his car, to help us find our feet and get a feel for different areas, at the same time, educating us about the market and areas available. His endearing nature and very trust worthy persona, made the experience of looking for a place that sometimes can be daunting, very enjoyable, fuss free and convenient. We ended up finding another property that wasn't listed with Marsh and Parsons, but had we not, the relationship Piers built with us in a short period time was very reassuring and one we will always remember and sure will draw on in the future. Piers & company from Marsh & Parsons have been very helpful finding the right kind of houses for us. I could say that negotiations involved both ends of the deal and were fair, when it often is the case in this market that you're not sure if someone isn't putting wool on your eyes.
We ended up moving into a beautiful house for a good price. I would've appreciated less iterations on negotiations, but then again that's probably just what the business entails at the moment in London. All in all, a big thank you!

After several bad experiences with the stereotypical estate agent, I was fairly cynical when I first met with David in the Tooting Office. I had lost faith that I would ever successfully find and complete on a property. David was straightforward and honest from the off, something I found refreshing. This continued throughout the whole process, I always felt I was up to date with what was going on, David was incredibly responsive and in his absence Colleagues also gave me a regular catch up call.

I used Marsh & Parsons to rent a property out, and Amy and Charlie were professional and delightful all at the same time! Other agents were good at the sales pitch and making promises, but what set M&P out from the rest was that they actually delivered on their promises.
For a landlord, there is no shortage of agents to use in Tooting, and some are cheaper. However what you get with M&P is a fair price and an excellent service, and in my experience they will get you the rent that others simply can't, even agents that charge more.
They kept me updated and were on the case from day 1. They were relentless (but in a good way) in finding me the right tenant at the right price. I'm so happy with Amy and Charlie that I've let them keep their board up outside my house for as long as they like!
If you're looking for a quality agent in Tooting that will get the job done, look no further (and their office also smells lovely, which is a bonus).

I'd really recommend using Marsh and Parsons to let your property. We signed up with a few agents and Marsh and Parsons were by far the best at communicating, and found us our tenants. The letting manager Charlie Crane was really friendly and helpful, and really patient (we are renting our flat out for the first time so I was quite nervous and had a lot of questions). The other members of staff were also very professional, and Piers secured our tenants. Compare to the experience we had with Foxtons (total nightmare), Marsh and Parsons made the process as stress free as possible.
