I can’t recommend Durden & Hunt Wanstead highly enough. Ray and his team have done an exceptional job marketing and selling my apartment in what is an extremely tough market — particularly for flats at the moment. From the outset, their advice on pricing and presentation was spot on, and the marketing was handled with real professionalism and energy. They stayed proactive throughout, kept communication clear and consistent, and worked tirelessly to secure the right buyer.
A special mention has to go to Kezia in sales progression. She was incredibly hands-on, dealing directly with me, the buyer, and both solicitors to keep everything moving forward. Her persistence, attention to detail, and constant follow-ups made all the difference — without her input, I genuinely don’t think this sale would have got over the line.

Alex could not have been more helpful. I called Durden and Hunt because I saw a maisonette online that looked like somewhere my husband and I would like to live. He organised a viewing and also suggested viewing a new build flat that would provide similar features. He walked with us to the flat and then drove us to the maisonette. We loved both properties, but the maisonette was quirky in the same way as the house we have right now, so would be a perfect future home for us. We previously had our property on the market a year ago and had no offers after months on the market. After we met with durden and hunt, we felt assured that they would fully commit to selling our property and before the property even went live, they were so proactive and finding buyers to come and view the property. Within a couple of days of the property being on the market, our property was sold.
We were really happy with all communications from putting our property on the market to the sale itself. Ray was fantastic and him and his team showed such professionalism and proactively. Ray is very experienced and him and the whole team seem incredibly hard working. We also dealt with Alex, who was really helpful in finding our buyer too. Amanda in the sales progression team was very helpful in pushing through both our sale and purchase and unbelievably, we managed to exchange and complete in less than two months, before the stamp duty deadline.

As first-time buyers, our understanding of the house-buying process was quite limited. My wife saw the flat and immediately contacted Durden & Hunt, as the property had just come back on the market. Ray and Alex have been very helpful, assisting us with viewings, enquiries and negotiating the price while guiding us through all the necessary steps until the sellers agreed on the terms. As many might know, the process can be quite lengthy, especially with solicitors. In this instance, Amanda from the sales progression team was very helpful in coordinating and pushing both parties through the process. After approximately three months, we managed to achieve our goal, and yesterday we finally exchanged contracts. Special thanks also to our brokers, Maria and Billy from Trinity Finance, who helped us throughout the year-long market search and secured our new home. We can’t wait to move in. We first engaged with Durden & Hunt when viewing a property which we put an offer in on and were successful. We then had the buyer of our property pull out at the last minute and Ray Phipps immediately offered to market our property to try and find a quick sale so we could still secure the property we wanted. They got us several viewings in a two week period we had to try and sell our property, many more than our previous agent. While unfortunately the vendors of the property we had the offer accepted on did end up deciding to go with another offer, we did secure a buyer quickly and Ray and Amanda helped ensure it was as quick as possible and we were able to find another property. The speed and effectiveness and the marketing and the communication were all great and I would certainly recommend them.

Before using Durden & Hunt Wanstead our property was on with another local agent and in truth got little real interest, with no offers after several months.
Our experience with Durden & Hunt couldn’t have been more different. Ray in particular had a real determination to sell our property. He managed to do this not once but twice (after the first sale fell through) and we got multiple other offers on the property as well.
Once sale was agreed it was passed to Kezia and Amanda who both did a fantastic job of managing the chain and pushing us towards exchange.
