I had an amazing experience with Durden & Hunt when looking for a property to let. The initial telephone conversation with Anya was very warm and friendly and she was able to throughly answer all the questions I had regarding the property. I also had a wonderful experience at the viewing - she took her time, showed me a range of apartment options and in-unit features so I could really get a feel and decide which apartment was the right fit for me. I was looking to move in as soon as possible and Samantha was amazing at getting the admin/referencing completed so quickly that I was able to move in less than a week! She has also been very attentive in keeping me updated during the process of my move and always responded promptly to any questions I had along the way. Thank you to you both for being so lovely and a bonus for also providing knowledge of the area I moved into which really put me at ease before my move. :)... Read more

Couldn’t recommend enough! I encountered quite a few issues relating to the sale of my property which was sold August 2025. Amanda took over my file in November when there was a lot of issues with my management company and all I can say is she is such a breath of fresh air compared to other estate agents we have encountered previously! She was compassionate, understanding but also very realistic and direct which allowed us to manage our expectations. She was even replying to emails in the evenings and always had an open line of communication with us! I’ve had the greatest experience with this company. I was in a rush to rent a flat in Colchester, when I called them, without much hope. I had a bad experience in the past. Richard, especially, was a great help. I called them about a different flat than I rented in the end. Richard had me viewing the flat through video call within ten minutes of me calling them. We've recently relocated and found a lovely home to rent in Colchester. From the outset, Richard was great to deal with, and we quickly agreed to move forward with the rental. The referencing process had its challenges, as these things often do, but what really made all the difference was Samantha. She has truly been a lifeline throughout this process. Always available, extremely personable, funny, empathetic and incredibly responsive, being quick to resolve any questions or issues ... often within minutes!!! Her professional, calm and helpful approach took so much stress out of what has been a very hectic period for us, and thanks to her, we were even able to head off on holiday before the big move with complete peace of mind.
