An Estate Agent not to be trusted. Faced with a difficult vendor we were lied to by everyone we spoke to. Arranged an appointment to view a property in Menston at 10:30; drove 280 miles with an overnight stay to ensure we arrived on time. 9:45 received an email saying 10:30 was not convenient and 14:30 was the earliest possible! Lie number 1 Alex can't show you round as he is in a meeting which has been arranged for months, can we arrange it for later in the day? Lie number 2 Alex and a colleague pulled up outside the property and said the owner was out and had locked up they couldn't get access Lie number 3, the cleaners are in there and we could do it at 12:30 Lie number 4 The owner is working from home and has deadlines to meet so can't be disturbed Offer number 2 Alex is doing another viewing so could show you the house at 11:30 Final phone call, explaining that it was all our fault as they had tried to ring us on Saturday which was not true, tried to ring the home phone this morning which anyone with even one brain cell could work out we couldn't possibly be at home. Pathetic level of service the tragedy is that none of the staff see anything they could have done different, fair enough vendors wife had a need to tidy up after father's day and couldn't be ready for 10:30.
