Stephanie Hardie?? I can't express in words how grateful we are to this young woman. At the end of last month, after a long wait and many difficulties, we finally managed to buy our first house. Stephanie was with us from the very beginning. I haven't met such a warm and incredibly patient person in a long time. Entwistle have been by far the best letting agents I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
Other local agents have been questionable to say the least, poor customer service, poor communication(if any). Long drawn out applications & financial checks.
Entwistle have made the whole experience first class. Like so many companies they may have great systems & promises but it comes down to the individual colleague.
Erin has been brilliant at communicating delivering great customer service & explaining the process & next steps.

I had been looking for a flat for my 20 year old daughter in Lancaster, and we saw several estate agents, all of whom pleasant and helpful, but they were all very discouraging, and stressed how difficult it was to find a flat in the current climate. However, our experience in Entwistle Green was very different.
We were met by Michael Heyworth, who was immediately positive and encouraging, and said that he was sure he would be able to find something - and within 2 days he did! Shannon King showed my daughter around the flat Michael had found and was kind and patient with us both. It was a stressful time for my daughter and myself, and it was knowing that Michael and Shannon were actively working on our behalf that kept us going.
Michael and Shannon both did an exceptional job, and are stand out role models for their profession, and I can't recommend them highly enough - thank you both so much.

I cannot praise all of the staff at the Lancaster branch of Entwistle Green enough. The sale of my bungalow has not been an easy one due to problems with the building itself.
However the staff stuck with me, guided me through everything and gave me confidence in them. They were polite, kind and understanding all of the way.

She worked endlessly to give us all in the chain a date for moving. Which I don’t believe was her responsibility.Which is more than I can say for the Solicitors.

I let a property through Entwistle Green in Lancaster, and they were a nightmare to deal with during the first few months. The shower and several appliances were nonfunctional for weeks, and the flat was left with dirty items and broken electronics from the previous tenant. I chose not to leave a review at the time, hoping things would improve but I feel compelled to speak up now.
Most recently, they lost the spare key I had entrusted them with - a key I kindly agreed for contractors to have to access the property to fix the long-standing issues and remove a broken refrigerator from the property, while I'm at work. Now I’m being told that “you don’t need the spare key” and that I have to pay to replace it if I want one. There was no apology, no accountability.
To make matters worse, I was locked out of my apartment today and had to pay £120 to regain entry, all because the spare key is lost. Why was the key not returned to the agency once the repairs were completed?
This is not just about poor service - it is a huge red flag in terms of safety. A missing key tied to an address is a serious security risk, and the dismissive way this was handled is deeply concerning.
If this is how they treat their tenants, it raises serious questions about their responsibility and professionalism. I am hoping they can offer to help in this situation with reimbursement and replacement.

Incompetent Company. I viewed a property with Entwistle Green and raised a few questions about it. I had no reply whatsoever for over a week, so I phoned to chase it up. I was then told the property had subsequently gone under offer during this time. When I questioned this I was told 'someone should have got back to you'. Joshua Clayton was the agent dealing with this. I find this completely unacceptable, incompetent and dreadful practice. Once the questions had been answered I would have been in a position to make a competitive offer.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Bunch or time wasting amateurs!
They are terrible at communicating. Whenever we rang them, they either did not pick up the phone or they said the person who is dealing with our sale was out of the office.
In the end we decided to take our property off the market with this company and list it with a competitor and Entwistle couldn't even manage to take it off the market in a timely manner. It took them 2 weeks to remove their for sale sign and remove the online advertisement.
They do not vet the people who put in offers to buy a house thoroughly and as a result we had 3 people who put in offers, wasted our time and then pulled out when they could not secure the funds.
Honestly DO NOT waste your time with this branch!

I've had such a hard time finding a flat in Lancaster due to the housing crisis, and my personal circumstances (disabled, with a service dog). Entwistle has really been the only agents that have been kind to me, and treat me like a person. I've been really pleased with them. Everyone has been kind, but I'd like to credit two people in particular:
Luke Squirrell, I've spoken to him several times and when we met face to face he remembered my name and was very sympathetic and understanding about my situation, promising to help. He gave me good advice on how to write my application and I was luckily finally successful in finding a place (contract still pending).
Also Louise Sadoune has been really fabulous, I've mostly spoken to her via email, and been really appreciative of her time and kindness.
All in all, I've been so happy with this estate agent, they've been so kind and understanding with my circumstances, and really supportive. Very grateful for their time and help!

Myself and my partner are trying to find property to rent. Our communication with Entwistle Green was unpleasant when we were just trying to find out more information about a property.
We were told that the property had been reserved (fair enough) and that we could sign up to be on their waiting list. So we told them our details, but when they found out that we are currently students they completely dismissed us, saying that they "generally don't let to students" even though we had quite clearly already explained that we were looking to rent after graduation and would be in full time work. The man on the phone did not listen and ended the conversation after offering no help or advice to us.
After deciding to try phoning back to further explain that we could provide details of a guarantor to support our application, the same person answered the phone but could apparently not remember us or the conversation we had just had, even though it was only about 3 minutes later that we called back. He informed us that "it's all well and good saying you have a guarantor, but relationships fall apart".
Entwistle Green made what is already a very stressful process even more so with their dismissive attitude towards us, offering no help for us trying to rent a property and disregarding our legitimate means to pay rent. After this dealing, I was grateful to not have let a property with them.

We used Entwistle Green because they've been in this business for ever, they know the market and provided us with confidence that the valuation and how they were going to market our property was spot on. Yes ours was an expensive property, but don't be fooled by the perceived "go-to" agents with the glossy brochures, large % selling fees and over valuations to suck you in. Entwistle Green sold ours within a few weeks with no hassle or stress. Give them a go, no matter how big or small your property, you'll get the same service and attention.

After making time after time contact with this office and property management and not even getting call backs from them, leaves me with no choice but to air my views. Being told landlord is looking into it and etc,etc... Just be weary of renting from these lot as they don't get back to you. And problems with properties don't get fixed!

I hardly ever leave reviews but I have to in this case. Whatever response underneath from ‘customer services’ to try and belittle any claims completely proves this company is not customer centric… the customer is always right.
Flying or maybe gliding down from their decent reputation of yesteryear in the local area, the company is a shadow of its former self.
Expensive, outdated, young inexperienced staff, surrounded by senior staff who you just get the impression from that they can’t be bothered. Still hiding behind the current health situation as an excuse for not doing anything. Although they admit that this has had an impact to their service they were quite happy to take the FULL monthly fees regardless.
Paid for full management service over 2 years. Regrettably I was far too busy to monitor. What I was left with was the dirtiest tenant who caused no end of mess to my property. 1 propery check in two years blamed on the pandemic, however I was able and expected to sort gas certs and repairs without any hassle.
You can never get through to Lettings by phone. They are seriously understaffed as the only excuse is , sorry I was out on visits. Otherwise it’s a call to some Preston call ‘office’ that basically take messages.
They are quick to take your money but offer absolutely nothing in terms of ‘management’ they claim to offer. I have countless emails recently with my bad tenants email address included , so tenants..GDPR is not of their concern.
I wouldn’t use this tin pot outfit if they were the last letting agency on the planet. I could go on and on with this review. It will not be long until this company lags behind the more personal letting agency’s with cheaper fees that are cropping up.
AVOID unless of course you are a dirty tenant who cannot look after a house safe in the fact that Entwistle Green will be oblivious to it and on the report photos you do get, are of poor quality and cannot enlarge so your landlord will never know. I feel absolutely gutted that I wasted money on the ‘Full Management’ service.
Understaffed, under enthused and won’t be around in Lancaster for much longer that I can be certain.

Luckily our landlady interfered to remove their house from entwistle. Thankfully landlady solved the issue of deposit and extending the contract.

Please be careful of dealing with this agency, most of their work is scam. I have suffered of being changed many things that they were responsible of and they did not admit it. If you have to deal with them for a property, try to take pictures of every single thing before you rent or buy from them and check carefully. Do not sign any paper coming from them without reading it very carefully amd consulting a lawyer.

We bought a house from one of their clients. They didn't seem very interested in selling to us, at one point didn't tell us that an offer had been accepted. When I went in the office to enquire they looked at me as if I was an alien, often taking 2 to 3 minutes to acknowledge my presence. Although our seller signed the standard form saying they would leave the property in good order, it was full if rubbish and filthy, when we informed them, they said they couldn't do anything. Makes me wonder if they sell anything. They just cant be bothered

Absolutely terrible as letting agents. My family has spent over 14 WEEKS without a working toilet, to be faced with dismissive staff in repairs via FixFlo and a property manager who has a clear lack of interest in resolving any issues and fails to respond, despite repeated contact from myself to raise concerns.
Meanwhile, I have to pay my rent, on time, in full, or they'll take action against me!
Currently going down the formal complaints route with the branch with a view to get my rent back & I am also in contact with the council / environmental health to arrange further action
I'm making my complaint more public to see if that will get my toilet fixed (although I doubt it) and so others are aware before letting a property with Entwhistle Green Lancaster.

We met Kristina over a year ago ... we messed her around, we were messed around (by potential sellers) ... she stayed calm and professional throughout the process.
Kristina is a rarity in her profession - she LISTENS!! When the appropriate property came on the market, she contacted us immediately, and arranged the perfect viewing. Due to her fastidious preparation and excellent presentation skills, we had bought the property before we walked though the front door!

They were nice and proffessional until I paid them. Since I had problems with my landlord and I couldn't contact him, they lied to me about not having any alternative contact information but his adress was stated on my tenancy agreement. Which would never come unless I specifically asked for it. I'll never use their services ever again.

My wife and I purchased an apartment at the Residence in Lancaster, and this was accommodated perfectly by a lovely lady, Kristina Wenlock, in the Lancaster office. She was extremely helpful in all things, and a delight to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble, and she dealt with all paperwork and practicalities perfectly. We are sort of old-fashioned, and expect high standards of customer service, so this lady was an easy 10/10 in that regard. Thank you Kristina!

As a first time buyer who is new to Lancaster Kristina and the rest of the staff at Entwistle Green were able to give great advice about the area I was looking to buy in and were very helpful and supportive during the actual purchasing process. We sold our flat through Entwistle Green Lancaster office. Roger got us a sale even before we had fully completed the paperwork to sign up.
Our sale was far from straight forwards with our solicitor and the buyers solicitor falling out with each other and refusing to talk. If it hadn’t been for Kimberley I don’t think we could have completed the transaction. She was proactive, acted as a liaison between us and the legal people and drove the sale through, I can’t recommend Kim, Christina and Roger highly enough. From my initial contact with the Lettings team the service that I received on behalf of my Father was incredible, I explained my fathers housing needs and gave a brief insight into his personal ones and the Lettings team went to work finding a suitable property to accommodate him, this all sounds simple until you factor in the logistics of moving him from Kent to Lancaster in a turnaround period of little over 6 weeks, the whole process of viewing, paperwork and payments all made extremely simple but most importantly stress and hassle free, the thing that I was most impressed by was the professionalism of the team and the no pressure approach that we received, they communicated my concerns to the landlord who was equally excellent in the handling of my dads needs, the work that needed doing prior to move in day was completed hassle free, they still remained very helpful and accommodating even after the move, if moving was ever a simple process we would do it more often but when it’s made simpler by a team who understands your needs and caters for it impeccabley then my dads move was proof that Entwistle Green Lettings really care about the people it is attending too.
I won’t name individuals as it was a team effort but they know who they are and they in some instances went above and beyond for my dad and with service like that I am extremely grateful.

Rodger did the first viewing and we said that if we ever sell our house we want him involved - he was great, very professional and enthusiastic but also honest. As the sale progressed, we also dealt with Kim. She worked really hard to make sure that everything ran smoothly and chased the solicitors regularly. She was excellent at keeping in touch. We have sold our house with Entwistle Green in Lancaster (sold very quickly ,within 2 weeks) and also bought a house from the same estate agents.
Me and my wife dealt with the Branch Manager Kimberly Howarth and also Christina and Roger and found them to be realy reliable and that nothing was too much trouble at all.
We got updates and advice on how the sales were going through making sure we new exactly how we was progressing.
There are cheaper Internet deals out there,but I'd like to think that you get what you pay for,which in my eyes, I'd rather pay a little extra knowing that I'm being looked after and that I can contact them anytime should you need to ask them anything.
I'd recommend them to freinds and family no problem at all.

I never managed to rent a property through this company because they make it impossible to even look at a house. They're only interested in getting you to agree to an early agreement or they tell you not to bother. Landlords beware - they turn down decent tenants just to get someone through the door quickly.

Super active before signing the letting contract. Poor management after that. Calling them many times for replacing the microwave oven, fixing kitchen floor and giving me a key to bike room. Never got a call back and nothing has been fixed.

That letting agency really deserves 0 stars instead of one. It's a nightmare for tenants. Every time we had to deal with them, there were ridiculous additional charges. Payments went through another company, and when they made some clerical error, both companies issued at least 40 letters to us, bullying us to pay what has already been paid. We phoned them countless times, but every time we phoned one company, the other issued a new letter. In the end it also turned out that our agreement had a blazing mistake, and thus there were additional issues to make a new agreement. People working at Entwistle Green are completely useless and uninformed. I'm not sure what they get paid for, because it's definitely not skills to write correct documents. Oh and of course we had to insure the house with their suggested insurance company and yet again, the payments were going through yet another separate company. So cancelling the insurance after the end of our rent is yet again a nightmare and it's still not resolved a month after my first call to cancel the insurance.

We have just recently completed on our property and I would just like to say what a stress free experience we had at Entwistle Green Lancaster. We had tried another agent previously with no success and within the first week we had more viewings on our house than the whole time with the other agent.

No organisation whatsoever, the only process which was organised ridiculously well is the part where they have to get money off you. Having moved to Lancaster from the south I have gone through multiple lettings agents, but by far these people had the least clue in property management

Never deal with these scumbags and joke of a lettings company, avoid at all costs! The fees to rent a flat are sky high, the highest of any other agency, and once you've paid if you have any issues with your property they will never help. You will find yourself ringing them everyday, they will tell you that it's been taken note of and someone will be over to look at the issue but no one ever shows up. Take this scenario and repeat 5 times, and still - no one will ever come.
I'm seriously considering calling an ombudsman on this branch, because this feels like a scam, they rip you off and don't do any work at all. I don't know what they are doing at their office, but all I can say is they are first class liars and the rudest and arrogant bunch you will ever come across.
