Awful and unprofessional. 5 years ago we purchased the lifetimesmortgage service. Last time no issues getting mortgage, this time, even when in a better financial situation 5 years later, we were declined for a mortgage with fox and sons broker, with no explanation or reason given. So we requested money back and raised a complaint. The worse thing about this was we were told via email, no phone call, and the email was worded such that it was tough luck and nothing more could be done. We then went through a broker outside of F&S and got a deal immediately with a better rate... so what was going on? Well, they had our money, that was that... didnt want to help us.. We dealt with Matthew throughout this and told him that if we couldnt get a mortage through F&S we would withdraw the sale of our house and go elsewhere, he said fine and hung up the phone on us. His attitude was awful and when we asked for compaint and call to be listened to, what a surprise, no call log or recording. Josh originally helped us in the begginging, and he was fantastic, but halfway through the process, we were told he didnt work there anymore. How strange! But he was the best one to deal with and got stuff done, was very professional unlike some others! Will never use Fox and Sons again!... Read more

General lack of pro-activity & a branch which seemed to have taken its eye off the ball. Am now with new Agent having wasted several months . Appalling service. We signed up with these awful agents for 20 weeks! What a nightmare . Sam over priced our home but we went with what he suggested. Weeks on with no viewings I called him, I emailed him, I left messages with staff. At one time I called and was told Sam and his manager were out delivering leaflets! That’s the type of rubbish they tell you!( or it could be true!) We wanted our price lowered as they valued it too high. They ignored our requests completely. They are appalling. I even left a message to tell them what a discussing service they were. Not one person called back to at least try to talk it through! We are planning on selling and will be back on the market when the time is right and we have already found our agent to market our home. She’s completely different to Sam from fox and sons. No bull. Just plain talking. I say be very careful if you sign a contract with these awful estate agents. They will ignore you. Appalling service from Sam and Millie.However, on the flip of the coin I would like to thank them whole heartedly as now I have learnt a very hard lesson as to not get sucked into the bull that falls out of some peoples mouths.... Started off well with Fox and Sons, they showed us round a house and were generally pleasant to deal with, then we put an offer on a house and then starts the huge amounts of pressure to go with their mortgage advisor as well as tactics to try and get us to pay more for the house, funny thing is we withdrew our offer and yet the house is still on the market despite other offers... We have recently refurbished our Victorian Terrace in Eastleigh and popped in to request an appraisal. Within the hour we had confirmed an appointment for the next day, we dealt with Dion Sandiford. We had a quick pre-call chat to cover our needs and received a follow up email and link to set up an optional portal for updates and communications etc. Dion called prior to our appointment and arrived on time. He had done his research well and was prepared with good market comparisons and insights which was very impressive. He took time to further explore our needs and was very thorough with his feedback on our home and sensitivities with disabled family members etc. I would highly recommend the services being offered by this branch and it’s staff, having dealt with other team members in previous years, I notice a consistent theme of good personal service and caring approach, and now with the use of good technology for those who want that. Added to that a good appraisal outcome that means we will list with them when ready.... Read more
