Really poor experience with this agency, completely unreliable. I had booked to view a property with them and had travelled a two hour round trip to view. I had a text from them two hours before (12:00) to confirm the viewing would be taking place, hence the decision to make the journey. I had a missed call from them (11:15) where Jack left a voicemail asking me to ‘call back to confirm a few things’ and as i went to call back they called me again at 12:19 to speak about a mortgage appointment. I sat outside the property, no one attended and when I called they asked why I didn’t call them before travelling there. Even though I had text to confirm the viewing at 12:00, and when I spoke to them at 12:19 there was no mention of it being cancelled. I emailed Jack, the ‘Branch Manager’ who I had just spoken to on the phone, with no response to the email and no sense of taking accountability. Really disappointing.... Read more

My experience with Tildey was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Not only did she confirm an appointment time and send reminders, but then, while we were en route (luckily, we'd left early to avoid traffic), she asked if we could come earlier because she double booked. This immediately indicated a lack of organization. However, the true extent of her incompetence was revealed during the viewing. After a two-hour drive, based on very specific confirmations over the phone and email, I was met with blatant misrepresentation. She lied about the floor level, claimed a view of foliage instead of electricity poles (then told me to 'not look that way'), and the flat had no electricity, forcing us to use phone flashlights in the dark bathrooms. Tildey's disregard for my time and dishonesty are beyond unacceptable. This wasn't just a waste of time; it was a masterclass in unprofessionalism. Avoid this agency and Tildey at all costs. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.... Read more

I am nearly at exchange and completion stage in selling my house through Gascoigne -Pees Tadley. Tom initially came around to value the property. This was an excellent experience and his knowledge of the area and process shone through. Jack then visited our property so he could familiarise himself with it for viewings. He then took us through the contracts and talked us through any questions we had. On the next day Tildey came to familiarise herself with the property and she was then conducting viewings the next day. We had offers very quickly and accepted. Following this I have been kept updated by Jack and Tildey regularly about the progress of the sale. I have been very pleased with the service from Tom, Jack and Tildey. The price was competitive and well worth it. Everything has gone smoothly from arranging photos, recommending solicitors and the EPC. I have no hesitation in recommending these guys. After seeing our property online, he couldn’t understand why we had no offers and offered his services. We had a viewing and an offer in 24 hours and Jack as well as Tildey have negotiated a fair price on the property we wanted to buy. 1st class service, communication was excellent, at all points, and unlike a lot of estate agents his honesty shone through with a real desire to help not just us, but the other parties in the chain to move. During my time of dealing with Gascoigne-Pees Estate Agents. I was very satisfied with the great customer service and well communicated performance they had provided me. I recently sold my house and brought my onward purchase with Tildey Norman. During an experience that is meant to be stressful it never was with Gascoigne-Pees. When I would visit the branch I was always welcomed with a smile from Tom knight and Tildey Norman. Considering their work load they always made time to reassure and lighten the situation to make it as easy as possible for me. I am very pleased with the outcome of my old property and feel very satisfied with my new forever home. I recently noticed a one star review and quite frankly don’t agree with this whatsoever. Warning - avoid this company at all costs!! Tom is extremely unprofessional and dishonest. We accepted an offer back in May from a buyer on the basis that the buyer was a cash purchaser. We were then told in July that this was not the case and he was applying for a mortgage. Only when we were ready to exchange and complete in August the buyers solicitors informed us that the buyer had a related transfer of equity, unbelievable. We were told it could take up to 6 months to sort out. We were very disappointed about being kept in the dark about this so late in the transaction. Had we been privy to this we would not have accepted the offer in the first place. We are very disappointed that Gascoigne Pees failed to disclose the buyers circumstances and allowed us to accept an offer under misrepresentation. Failing to check funding as part of the basics of accepting an offer. We had packed 90% of our belongings and hired a removal company and paid £2,000 and unbeknown to us the buyer had a related transfer of equity all along and that it could take the buyer 6 months to get their name removed from the deeds. This left us in a very vulnerable position. We lost our onwards purchase and the house we loved so much. We tried to cancel our contract and were told by Tom that we had to give 28 days notice. We asked as a gesture of goodwill if they could release us from the contract without the notice and this was declined as we were told we would be breaching the contract. My husband tried to reason with them and Tom accused him of bribery. Absolutely unbelievable and would never use again. Stay away from using this company. Absolutely diabolical. We would’ve given 0 stars but this wasn’t an option.... Read more

I recently viewed a property with Paul. He was very welcoming, honest and professional. He also shared his local knowledge on the area we were looking at which is nice. Nothing bad I can say even though I am new to the housing world (First time buyer) felt looked after by the team. Had a follow up call with the Branch Manager who was also a breath of fresh air. As is so often the case things were not completely smooth and a number of "glitches" came up elsewhere in the chain. Kerri-Anne, Sally and Mick were great. Awful Awful Agent. Wide angle lens used makes properties look unrealistic in all photographs. The staff here booked me in for a viewing on a property on a Monday (after registering interest and requesting a viewing on the previous Thursday and being told the first viewings were on that Monday as the owners were away for the weekend). When i went to the property, no-one was there, When I phoned the agent to complain, they told me the house was sold after the weekend viewings!? Then when I challenged what I had been told the agent Hung up the phone! Avoid at all costs!! ... Read more
