Ben at Hambledon Estate Agents went above and beyond to help us sell our property. We hit a few obstacles along the way (just lots of bad luck) and Ben went out of his way to help, offer advice and do whatever he could to get us back on track and make sure things went smoothly. He’s always been kind, professional and friendly on the phone and in person. My Mother was unable to leave the property during viewings and he always looked after her welfare when anyone was in the property for viewings. Making sure she knew what was going on and that she was ok. If you are looking for a knowledgeable estate agent, who is also caring and professional then I can highly recommend Hambledon in Shaftesbury. More than happy with the service we received.... Do not use Hambledons. Lazy, indolent, no wonder they closed local branch without notifying us. In all honesty they are not to be trusted in our opinion. Massive over valuation getting few viewings. V, v ,v poor communication, . Gave our personal contact details to spurned purchaser. Who had tried to purchase under agreed price. The purchaser was also not a cash buyer as stated by Hambledons . They played no part in final sale, as we had already given them notice to quit. They failed to attend any viewings by final purchaser despite promising to do so. Apparently gave access to property without our permission to failed purchaser. This has been an arduous task made worse by an inept, lazy agent, who in our opinion is in league with developers. We had more contact when completting the deal asking about their fee than we ever got any other time. We had taken access away from Hambledons because we had no trust in their integrity and impartiality. Fellow branches denied any responsibility for actions or connections with Gillingham branch , which seems very peculiar as they are advertised together. Do yourselves a favour, don't use Hambledons... Read more
