The communication efforts are by far what sets Hamptons aside from any other Agent I've dealt with and made a huge difference in providing clarity when this can often be lacking from solicitors/lenders and other stakeholders involved.

I recently helped my mother-in-law sell her house in Chalfont St Peter. We looked at a number of agents and chose Hamptons largely because of our initial contact with Dane Spelina. Dane was very clear on how Hamptons operate, produced a wonderful brochure, achieved a good sale price and was always available to smooth out any queries. He is very personable and nothing was ever too much trouble. He made the process very straightforward for my elderly mother-in-law and I would certainly recommend Dane and Hamptons to anyone else hoping to sell in the area. There is no shortage of estate agents from which to choose in Gerrards Cross, but we are so glad we decided to go with Hamptons. From first contact right up to completion, Andrew and his colleagues impressed us with their unfailing energy and commitment, and with their timely communications, sensitive negotiating skills and good cheer throughout the process. They have a really deep understanding of the local market here, and we always felt that they gave our property exactly the right kind of push in exactly the right kinds of directions at all times, and were thus able to secure the best and fairest possible sale price.

In the end I didn’t purchase a property from Hamptons but the customer service from Andrew was excellent. He genuinely wanted to understand the type of property I was looking for and listened. He then sent through a variety of properties which all did fit the specification. Andrew was knowledgeable, forthcoming but honest in his approach when I viewed the properties.

What should have been a relatively simple house purchase (no chain from Seller, first time buyer purchasing my flat), became dragged out due to ineptitude from Ola Leslie solicitors (SE1) who represented the person buying my flat.
An example is on COMPLETION day, the solicitor from Ola Leslie emailed my solicitor asking how much their client owes! Another example was the solicitor requested that her client needs to visit my flat the day we were supposed to EXCHANGE. The buyer states she put in a request to visit my flat months ago, but the solicitor only let her know a couple of days before exchange.
Thankfully, Jatinder @ Hamptons Gerrards Cross was always on the case and his persistence made sure my solicitor couldn't take his foot off the gas, who ended up having to micro-manage my buyers solicitor. This helped in speeding along, and making sure procedure was being followed, for the sale and now my wife and I are in OUR home - and we're very happy.
So I can certainly recommend this branch of Hamptons if you're dealing with inept solicitors! Also, the team are friendly and will go to the ends of the Earth to make the sale of your house go through to the end.

We bought our house through Hamptons GX and have just exchanged today. Jatinder, Andrew and Dane were all fantastic. Getting over the final fence for a house move can be stressful and exhausting but we felt incredibly supported by the Hamptons team; they took the sting out of the process by going above and beyond to make sure that timelines aligned, paperwork was signed and we secured the house of our dreams. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

I have been a good paying customer of Hamptons at the top end of the rental market for over 4 years. I gave birth to my daughter January this year to return home from the hospital to a stone cold house in the middle of a very cold winter. 22 visits from various contractors later, the heating was never fixed and we were threatened with action against us for breaking it. I had men marching through my bedroom to check on the radiators during a very private period of time for me with my baby.
No sympathy, no advice. I was spoken to like I was a complete idiot. No apologies. It was like talking to an answering machine. I had to call and demand or beg that something is done about the heating, otherwise I heard nothing for days and days. After escalating a formal complaint, I was told that service was absolutely spot on and to provide more information. I’ve never received a formal apology.
After we moved out the misguidance continued. Our undisputed deposit which should have been returned within ten days only got paid to us after nearly 3 months and only after I logged it with TDS. Otherwise I was told to wait until the landlord said I could have it back. This advice from Hamptons was in fact in breach of the tenancy deposit agreement.
Terrible experience, felt l was treated as a nuisance, not a customer. The management team is extremely rude and lack any kind of humanity. They will try to misguide you whenever they can to protect the landlord’s whim to save a penny or to simply annoy you. There is no fairness when it comes to the tenant. Be prepared to having to resort to legal means to receive basic rights as a Tennant.
The only person who completely stands out is Richard, the leader of the management team. Once I got talking to him, I started getting solutions. He is very personable and sensible. Strange that the rest of the team is impossible to deal with.

The GX Hamptons team did a great job for us. We received a good offer in a couple of weeks after putting our house on the market; this was based on a sensible valuation, proactive and professional showing. In the end, we couldn’t find a house that suited our needs/budget so didn’t proceed, but would very much recommend them. They are a really characterful and good natured bunch, and we had dealings with all member of the team. They work very well together, are cheerful, positive, hardworking and communicative with each other, vendors and buyers. Great work.

However, I am very glad it's finally come together, and that wouldn't have happened without our combined tenacity, so thank you so much for sticking with us and for all the help you've given us throughout. Although, I totally blame Dane for all of this! I didn't even ring up about this house, I rang about a house on Maltmans that had already gone and Dane twisted my arm to see this less attractive looking house that was over budget! We used Hamptons in Gerrards Cross to sell our property last year. Having previously used a different agent (with limited success), the difference was stark. I had not appreciated the value of a good estate agent in marketing the property and finding a suitable buyer until we used Hamptons......They worked hard to secure a buyer, and a back-up plan if things did not progress quickly and smoothly enough.
Though we did not end buy a property in the end through Hamptons, they took the time to understand what we wanted, and whilst showing us a range of their own stock, motivating us to look at properties that we might not of viewed. In fact we ended up buying a property we probably wouldn't even have viewed if they had not pushed us to do so...and we love it!!
I would definitely recommend Andrew and the team to people we know (in fact I've alreday done so!).....

We recently purchased a house near Stoke Poges through Hamptons International in Gerrards Cross.
The viewing and negotiation process ran very smoothly and whilst there were the usual small hurdles to over come through the exchange process, Jenny, supported by both Andrew and Edward, could not have done more to assist us and remained calm, good humoured and utterly efficient and profesisonal throughout.
Whilst we used an independent solicitor, the people we were buying from used the in house legal team at Hamptons and this also appeared to offer significant advantages at the points when things needed to happen quickly
Estate agents in general don't have a great reputation but based on our experience of Hamptons we could not recommend them more highly.
