We recently purchased our new home through Hampton in Great Missenden and could not have been happier with the service that we received First and foremost the negotiators that met us at the property viewing(2 of them) were friendly professional and encouraging without being pushy and were knowledgeable about the property, the locality and the vendors position. We were left under no illusions about the agents honesty and good intent and this showed through by the way that the multiple offers that the property attracted The purchase process is rarely without stress points but the agent, Anthony, demonstrated his experience and best efforts to overcome hurdles and help achieve a mutually agreeable conclusion for both parties. Gary Hammond and Claire Baker did a great job for us selling a thatch cottage recently. For us it had been a holiday home, so it had to be regularly inspected and especially equipped for fire and/or equipment failure. We live in the States. There were also issues related to boundaries, most of which we'd resolved. These meant complications, but we found Hamptons were up to the challenges - practical, international and local. They also made special arrangements for the elderly buyer so everything could be processed smoothly. We sold our house last winter with Hamptons and I could not fault their service. Having not sold a house for many years I had forgotten how stressful the whole process can be. Claire Baker who managed our sale was absolutely brilliant. To say she 'held my hand' through the whole process is not an overstatement! She was extremely supportive and helpful....and knowledgeable. Our house was not a straightforward property to sell but thanks to Hamptons we achieved our asking price. We were recommended Hamptons by a friend and I would be happy to pass that recommendation on. Being a very old house, my property probably wasn't the easiest to sell, but the service I received was excellent - nothing was too much trouble, my contact there (Claire Baker) was unfailingly kind, helpful and polite as, indeed, were all her colleagues. My calls were always promptly returned and Claire successfully negotiated the sale and completion of my cottage, whilst keeping me informed at all times and calming me down when things became a bit stressful (as they can do in these situations). I was extremely impressed with their service, and have recommended them to other friends and neighbours who are thinking of moving house. First rate!... Read more
