There's a Mansfield branch now, but for that, I might not have been writing this. It's such a boon to have one of their offices nearby. I hope they go from strength to strength in this town, and from my experience so far, I think they might. I've only yet had the valuation. Tom was great, a real gent, punctual, professional, but above all, amiable. Next stage, photography and measuring up, and if their man Neil is as easy to get along with as Tom, then it will be good. And I can't leave out Jasmine, who was my first point of contact several weeks back and whom I have subsequently enjoyed seeing during my two visits to the shop since. And let me just add, everybody there is so darned friendly. Some even got out of their seats to greet me with a smile upon arrival. Epic customer service! So to summarise, I'm still in the early stages of this, the fraught business of trying to sell a house. But with all these great professionals in my team, I feel optimistic about the eventual outcome, that's the way they've already inspired me. Their slogan, 'prepare to be moved', is so apt. We did seek valuations from three separate agents and decided to go with H&C (in part due to a positive experience with West Bridgford branch and a less than favourable experience with a large Mansfield and area agent). ? 1 Star – Misled, let down, and treated appallingly This agency has shown a complete lack of honesty, transparency, and professionalism. We were repeatedly assured the property was sold to us, we had a mortgage offer in place, was pushed to pay for searches, everything was ready and despite this, they quietly went back to the previous offerees and sold the property to them behind our backs. I dealt with one agent throughout, yet when it came to delivering the bad news, someone I had never spoken to before suddenly appeared to do it. That alone speaks volumes about their avoidance and lack of accountability. We have lost £500 through no fault of our own, at a time when we are already dealing with the devastating loss of our grandson. Their actions have caused unnecessary distress and financial loss, and they have shown no integrity whatsoever. I would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this agency with something as important as a home purchase.
