A truly shocking experience from start to finish.
After waiting months and being told our offer was agreed in principle, we proceeded in good faith and paid several upfront costs. After all that time and expense, the estate agent suddenly decided to proceed with an earlier viewer who returned with a cash offer, leaving us out of pocket and having wasted months of our time.
The communication throughout was poor and a previous buyer had pulled out of the sale, I am not surprised at this now given how extremely unprofessional this estate agent is. If this was always a possibility, it should have been made clear from the beginning.
This experience made it very clear that this estate agent prioritises money over people. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid using them.

Holmans proved very helpful with the purchasing of my new home, from liaising with my selling agents, to arranging sometimes at very short notice, viewings of my intended property.
They were also very helpful in recommending builders, electricians and plumbers - very important as I was moving into an unknown area - and I have since successfully used the above tradesmen.
They have also been very happy to take any correspondence addressed to the former occupier and forward it to her.
If I were to move I would have no hesitation in appointing
Holmans to handle my sale.

We have had an extremely positive experience with Holmans in purchasing our new home recently.
We dealt with pretty much all of the team during the viewing and sales process. They had all been briefed on the properties in their portfolio, which meant that we always got a prompt answer to queries submitted by email or telephone, even out of hours or at the weekend.
As often happens during a sale we reached a stumbling block on our sellers side (not their fault) which could have caused the sale to fall through. Catherine Holman skillfully dealt with this using tact and diplomacy, and managed to get everything back on track to save the day!
We highly recommend Holmans to anyone looking to sell their home - they certainly made the process stress free and positive for us.

It was important to me to use an agent that really understood the market in Blockley. Knowing Catherine and Roger Holman were long term village residents, and also seeing the number of houses changing hands with their boards outside, gave me confidence to work with them.

The experience of buying through them started well, but on completion they wanted nothing to do with us when unfinished repairs we had agreed should be done within a short time of closing to stick to our closing date (we had put our trust in them to get their seller to honour these repairs) were not completed and still have not been completed. They refused to allow us to communicate with the seller and refused to deal with us after they had been paid their commission, instead asking us to ‘go through the lawyers’. So now it is costing us money to pay for the lawyer to get re-involved. This is the second similar experience negative we have had with them. Good before completion. But then they want nothing to do with tying up loose ends which is unprofessional. Never again.

Really shocking care for customers. I arranged on Monday to see a rental property at 11:55am this morning - yesterday i was informed that the property had an offer on it and if we wanted to make an offer, it would need to be today. I responded we (me and my partner) could make that work. I took the day off work & travelled 4 hours from London to view the property this morning which we were excited to see as it's in a lovely location and down the road from my partner's brother/parents, and where my partner grew up.
Roger seemed very nice and showed me around the property. I called him at 12:50 just to double check the rental price as it was different in the brochure he had given to me to what was advertised on Rightmove. I then called him (back on the train to London at this point) at 1:35 to tell him we would likely make the offer today and was told Roger would call me back in 30 mins. Which he did. At approx 2:05 (2 hours post the viewing) I told Roger we would most likely come back to him this afternoon with the offer, i just needed to discuss with my partner (who had Zoomed into the house viewing) what the figure would be.
Roger then told me that the landlord needed to let the property today and they had therefore gone with the other offer, and it was my fault for not communicating an offer on the spot in person. That that's just the way the market is now. I'm sure Roger will respond to this message saying it's my fault for not taking the house on the spot but given they knew about the offer yesterday and were "honoring our viewing today", why is it my fault for not taking it there and then if this isn't what was communicated to me by the estate agents? I told Roger over the phone we would have taken the house for 2 years and offered substantially above the asking price to secure it but Roger to put it blunt was rude and told me it's not about the money. I’m quite shocked to be treated like that, why he couldn’t wait 3 hours for me to make an offer I don’t understand when you were prepared to let me see the house post receiving an offer.
So if the owner of Crossways House on Church Street reads this, sorry landlord but you missed out on a 2 year contract substantially above the rental price.
We won't be using Holmans again or recommending it to friends or family in the area.

Excellent team delivering great customer service. We had the choice of all the agents in the area to sell our two cottages in Stow on the Wold. We decided upon Holmans after meeting Roger Holman at the properties. Only a few days after agreeing on the sales prices the team had multiple viewings lined up. In the end we had a significant number of viewings and several offers. Both cottages went at the upper level of our expected price range and very speedily. I found the whole teal at Holmans friendly but also efficient. At all times in the process we were consulted and informed. Shocking service!
We met with a letting's negotiator last month to take one of their properties based in Beceshore Close in Morton In Marsh to rent.
We was told that the Director Catherine Holman has passed both of our offers on to the owner and was rejected due to two visiting Dog's to the property once a month. Catherine Holman kept saying we have several viewing's on the property and advised us to look else where, which we did!
After moving to Morton In Marsh, it was only by an off chance we saw the landlord outside of his property yesterday paining the windows. We has a lengthy chat with him and he was not told about our last offer which we increased to asking price off £925 pcm and Catherine Holman advised that we have two large Dog's permanently at the property which was not the case.
The property is now reduced to £875 and we offered £925 which the landlord was not aware. I am an agent myself, and honestly never come across this service before. You just have to look at their reviews and you get a full answer for yourself!

They are absolutley friendly ,although i have booked an appoitment to have look at One property early week, i came 4 hour by train ,they answer was it has been let last night .
It would be wonderfull ,inform me by just quick call or at least email .
They are couple of stat agency at Moreton in marsh much organised .
