Tash has always been very good at communicating and coordinating to resolve issues. This week Tash really excelled herself, with a tenancy change and a gap of only a week, between outgoing and incoming tenants and some maintenance issues identified on through the checkout report, Tash swiftly acted on resolving them, by efficiently communicating between me, the landlord, the maintenance service provider and the new incoming tenant. Decisions reached Tash arranged for the works to be completed tomorrow (9th Jan) ready for the new tenants moving in early next week. Great execution Tash and win win for all - happy days, for all concerned!

We had a leak from the loft of our rented property into the bedroom below. Part of the ceiling fell down and caused damage to the carpet and some of the tenants belongings. Tash our agent at Hurst took control of the situation and by using her contacts, she managed to speed up the completion of repair and redecoration of the ceiling in a timely manner . I just want to say that Tash has been outstanding throughout the entire process of the issues in our house and I truly felt like she was hearing me in every way. I have been a landlord with Hursts for the and a half years. In the last 6 months I had issues with the roof and chimney at my house. The original contractor was recommended by Hursts but his workmanship was not up to standard. Natasha Douglas, an agent at Hursts, found another contractor to come in and eventually sort out the issue. This was a very stressful time for both me and my tenant but Natasha Douglas kept us informed throughout and managed to get a partial refund from the original contractor. I am very grateful that the issue has been dealt with and for Natasha's assistance and correspondence. Arriving back for a holiday a few weeks ago, I popped into Hursts and it was great to put a face to Natasha, having being dealing with her so much these last free months!

At first I didn't have much trust in one of the agent's. But then Tasha an other agent took over my problem she , made me feel like we were heard and our complaints were dealt with quickly and efficiently as only moved in 10 days and nothing was ready for a tenant to move in. We complained to an other agent whom didn't seem like she wanted to help and made me sound ungrateful for wanting a clean and working house. When Tasha took over she reinsured me that things would be done, after 20days of living there and complaining from 1 hour after receiving the keys. Tasha apologise and got 90% of the problems solved in 4 days. I would like thank her very much, for her understanding and work ethics.

Absolutely worst experience I’ve had with any estate agents in my life. As the managing agents you’d expect a level of professionalism that their client lacked tremendously. The agents along with their client tried to get near enough £1000 from my deposit even after they took extra rent from me because knowing I was going to leave early (however DPS made sure this was not the case). Their client would watch me day and night I was harassed every single day and Hurst did absolutely nothing about it even though they claimed they are a mutual party for us (I was not their client so this made no sense). The property manager Kate would never get back to me. I advise no one go here!

Our short experience with the Hazlemere branch of Hursts estate agents was extremely disappointing. The first contact we received was a call from Hursts to explain they had taken over from our previous agents LetSmart (who were absolutely dreadful to deal with), and to tell us that we had to accept our recent rent increase which we had been disputing. We accepted the increase, and then had a long conversation about our terrible experience with LetSmart and were assured that Hurst’s were different, and weren’t afraid to stand up to landlords or report them for issues such as black mould, which was an ongoing issue during our tenancy. Our agent told me she was a renter herself so understood the difficulties faced by renters.
The next phone call I received approximately 2-3 months later, was to hand us a 21 section notice to vacate the property. We were told the landlord's circumstances had changed and that the property was being sold. We were also led to believe that we were not the only tenants receiving notice (our landlord, a prominent Conservative MP owns 4 houses in a row on our street). Hurst’s and our landlord were well aware that we had carried out lots of improvements within the property, including painting the bedrooms, levelling the garden, scrubbing lichen from the garage, and generally updating the property, as we had sent in lots of photos to show the work we were doing and had asked them to acknowledge the work and asked for a financial contribution. The before and after pictures are quite telling. We were handed our notice following our 6 monthly inspection, during which time photos were taken and Hurst’s and our landlord were aware that we had decorated the house to a high standard and did not tell us to stop what we were doing.
We were lied to from the very beginning, our house was not being sold, it was put back on the market by Hurst’s a week after I was informed no one would be moving in any time soon, and for £450 more than we had been paying in rent. And we were the only tenants asked to move out, as we had done a lot of work to the house. This rent increase would never have been viable had it not been for the work and money we put into the property, and Hurst’s and our landlord took full advantage of this, and have refused to discuss any betterment compensation despite lying to us and profiting from our hard work and hard earned money. They even tried to take money from our deposit, which we eventually got back in full. They should all be ashamed of themselves. They have completely ignored our requests to speak to our ex landlord or to pass on his details for correspondence, and our requests for transcripts or recordings of our conversations with them in which they completely lied to us about why we were asked to move out. We believe this was a revenge eviction as we had asked for and highlighted repairs that needed doing, and we are taking this matter further.
Just to add, the house still has black mould issues and asbestos in the back garden, these were never investigated properly, the mould was just sprayed and we decorated following this so it has just been covered up, as it had been when we moved into the property ourselves. So whoever moves in there now will encounter the same problems as us at some point, the house is aesthetically pleasing, but with lots of underlying issues which have never been addressed.

From the beginning Adam shared his knowledge with us of the market and managed our expectations. This resulted in us achieving the asking price within 5 weeks. We used the in house solicitors which provided a very professional service with an on line portal meaning we could track our sale and purchase process at all times. During the time leading up to exchange and completion Susan was very tenacious, chasing up all members of the chain including those beyond our immediate buyers and sellers. She kept us updated of any issues and how and when they were resolved. She maintained a very friendly and professional manner at all times despite any obstacles that may have arisen. After having a couple of local estate agents come to our home for the purpose of a valuation ready for sale, my wife and I felt quite deflated. "Well, it's a depressed market, you'll probably have to take an offer," "there's lots of 3 bed detached houses for sale at the moment", etc. Then Lewis from Hurst turned up. We've always felt that our home was a little bit special and bespoke from the run of the mill houses in the area, and to our delight, Lewis immediately saw it too. His enthusiasm buoyed us, and we thought (quite rightly as it turned out) if Lewis could enthuse potential buyers with his insight and positivity, Hurst were the ones to go with. Result-sold 3 weeks later for a little MORE than the full asking price! So a big thank you to Lewis and the team for (and I never thought I'd say this about an estate agent) there enthusiasm, integrity and professionalism. If you're reading this with a view to selling your property, why go anywhere else?

We have been dedicated landlords of Hursts Estate Agents since 2009. The ownership of our 2 bedroom flat in Aylesbury has given us much joy and at some moments, frustration. Throughout the whole time there has been Hursts in the background working hard to ensure we were always content with the management of the property. This was also the case when we made the hard decision to sell the property. With a difficult sale and prolonged completion process, Hursts were always the calm voice to reinstate our confidence. When all seemed lost with the potential failure of the sale, we found a guardian angel in Susan. Susan's compassion to our situation was met with a high level of professionalism as she maintain a good rapport with us, the purchasers, and both sets of solicitors.
